The decades-long saga of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) is barreling headlong toward one of two stunning conclusions.
Either the U.S. government has mounted an extraordinary, decades-long coverup of UFO retrieval and reverse-engineering activities, or elements of the defense and intelligence establishment are engaging in a staggeringly brazen psychological disinformation campaign.

Starting in WW II the US has had a formal Crash Retrieval program designed to scoop up “enemy” tech that as far as I know operates to this day. I see no reason why this program would have been discontinued and no reason why its mandate would not have included suspected UFO’s. During WW II the US recovered an intact Japanese Zero fighter in the Aleutians. They patched it up and discovered its weaknesses during flight testing which assisted in the design of the Hellcat fighter.
