Primary school engulfed in Palestine flag row may be forced to close
A primary school in east London may have to close its doors and switch to online learning after receiving “arson and bomb threats” during a row over a Palestinian flag.
A video shared on TikTok last year claimed that an eight-year-old pupil at Barclay Primary School in Leyton was bullied by teachers for wearing a badge showing the Palestinian flag on his coat.
The school said it was forced to close early for Christmas because of “escalating threats against staff” after rumours spread online that teachers had “traumatised” the boy.
