When Kirsty Paterson signed up to portray an Oompa-Loompa at the Willy’s Chocolate Experience she was expecting £500 and the chance to display some of her acting skills.
Instead she achieved worldwide fame as press from the Washington Post to the Straits Times in Singapore picked up the story of the underwhelming visitor attraction based on Roald Dahl’s story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
