Chechnya bans music that’s too fast or slow — including Russian anthem

It seems the hills are not alive with music in Chechnya, Russia’s mountainous Muslim republic.

Ramzan Kadyrov, the strongman ruler, has banned all songs that are slower than 80 beats per minute (bpm) and faster than 116 bpm.
