Jill Biden took the hand of her 81-year-old husband on Thursday night, and steadied him as he gingerly left the podium.
It was a poignant moment. One that millions of anxious Democrats are hoping will soon be replicated on the national stage. There is no formal mechanism for replacing the president as the party’s nominee for the November election, but within his inner circle, there is no one he trusts more than his wife of 47 years. If anyone can follow in Dennis Thatcher’s footsteps and tell their spouse it is time to pass the torch to the next generation, it’s Jill. In public, at least, she has given no hint whatsoever that she might do that.
"Joe, you did such a great job answering every question. You knew all the facts."
Jill Biden is a monster.
