As a result of his response to the murder of a leading conservative activist – “Charlie Kirk got shot loool” – George Abaraonye will no longer get to serve as the president of the Oxford Union debating society. I’m sure we all agree that this represents a profound loss to the field of philosophical inquiry. Especially now we’ve been told what Mr Abaraonye had been planning to do during his term of office. According to reports, the Oxford PPE undergraduate had intended to hold a debate about the hanging of British flags in public – under the title, “This house believes that flying the flag betrays Great British values.”
