Ostrich farm owner warns of broader implications of federal agency ordering mass cull

The owners of an ostrich farm facing a federally mandated mass cull warn that the consequences of the government’s actions go far beyond the farm itself.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has ordered the farm’s 400 ostriches to be killed, after two ostriches tested positive for H5N1 in December. The remaining ostriches are not infected, and the CFIA has rejected the family’s pleas to allow them to bring in experts to test the birds.

‘Easier ways to send messages’ to Trump than bringing in the King: U.S. ambassador

The new U.S. ambassador to Canada says he knows the implication of King Charles III’s upcoming trip to Ottawa is to push back on U.S. President Donald Trump’s 51st state threats — and he says there are “easier ways to send messages” to the American government.

“We’re thrilled that the king will be here,” said U.S. ambassador to Canada, Pete Hoekstra, in an interview with CBC’s The House that will air Saturday. “If there’s a message in there, there’s easier ways to send messages. Just give me a call. [Mark] Carney can call the president at any time.”

Hoekstra added that the annexation saga is “over.”

How left-wing Chicago social justice warrior Elias Rodriguez allegedly became homegrown anti-Israel terrorist

CHICAGO — A homegrown social justice warrior who spent years marinating in left-wing protests and propaganda — from Black Lives Matter to socialist politics — is accused of executing two young Israeli diplomats in cold blood outside the Capital Jewish Museum in the heart of Washington, DC.

The suspect in the antisemitic attack is Elias Rodriguez, 31, a Chicago native and the son of an Iraq War veteran whose antisemitism grew out of his association with US left-wing politics, and not any direct connection Israel or the Palestinian cause, according to federal prosecutors.

Belgians accused of stealing wind from Dutch turbines

Belgians who view their Dutch neighbours to the north as stereotypically stingy, arrogant and noisy may have found a novel way to take the wind out of the Netherlands’ sails.

As the North Sea fills with offshore renewable energy farms, Belgians have been accused of stealing wind from Dutch turbines.

A huge expansion of wind power in the region is having an impact on atmospheric stability and affecting the wind in the wake of wind farms, snatching power from neighbouring turbines. Some wind farms in Belgium are taking up to 3 per cent of generating power from Dutch installations, posing the risk of future conflicts over air currents.

Bjorn Lomborg: The political climate on climate has changed

Over the past decade, the leaders of corporate and international organizations became used to being lauded for making grand but ultimately empty green promises on stages in Davos and at climate summits. How quickly things have changed! Fear of being called out by the Trump administration is forcing many leaders to change course — at least in their rhetoric.

The Left Indulges Anti-White Racism In South Africa Because They Want The Same Thing Here

If you want to understand where the left’s obsession with racial “equity” and “reparations” leads to, look no further than South Africa — where white farmers are allegedly being murdered and face discrimination for the crime of being white. But good luck finding honest coverage of what’s transpiring there in the corporate media, which are hellbent on covering up or dismissing the reality so that Americans don’t begin to question the real goal of the left’s racial resentment agenda.

Toxic femininity: Foreign-born Muslim women in Germany are far more violent than German men

A little while back, the progressive, man-hating feminist movement produced what they surely thought was a “gotcha” condemnation for men—it was a social media trend where women would announce whether they’d rather be alone in the woods with a man or a bear…with a vast majority of women settling on the bear, highlighting “the fear of male violence.” (Never mind that many of these women were completely untouchable, as if the average man would ever desire to assault them, even given the license in a desolate forest.)
