Meet the Biden ‘politburo’ accused of running the country in secret

“They did such a disservice to Joe Biden and to the country. The family as well. I don’t understand how you could see him in the condition he’s in and think, ‘Yeah, you oughta go [run for president again].’ To do that to someone you love?”

This is the verdict of President Obama’s long-time adviser David Axelrod in Original Sin, the new Biden tell-all by the journalists Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson on the inner circle that kept Biden in the race for a second term even when the president’s own cabinet was raising alarm about his mental acuity.

Mark Carney is already facing a restive Liberal caucus

Carney supporters

Mark Carney isn’t getting much of a honeymoon as a new prime minister.

It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride since Carney swore in his new cabinet just a week ago, which featured some surprising new ministers, as well as some conspicuous absences, such as Nate Erskine-Smith, who pronounced himself disrespected.

Others kicked out of Carney’s pre-election cabinet, such as Bill Blair and Ali Ehsassi, have been less public with any disappointment they may be feeling, but there’s no question that this particular shuffle has given the prime minister’s team a morale issue to handle right off the bat.

Canada Had Largest Debt Increase Among G7 Countries Over Last Decade: Fraser Institute

Canada’s total government debt has grown substantially since 2014 and has outpaced nearly every other advanced country’s around the world, according to a new study from the Fraser Institute.

The study, “The Deterioration of Canada’s Finances Internationally” released May 15, compared Canada’s finances during the last 10 years to that of 40 other advanced countries internationally, including G7 countries. The authors found that Canada experienced one of the largest increases in government size over the last decade and now has one of the highest debt burdens of any advanced economy country.

This is how Canada is being run under the LPC.

Sighing at a colleague? That could count as workplace harassment

Many a sigh has been heaved by bosses at an underling who has caused irritation. Well, now a judge has warned that expressing that frustration can legally be considered harassment.

Using “non-verbal” expressions of disappointment or irritation can breach equality laws, an employment tribunal judge has ruled in a case involving a software engineer who has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

‘Financial landlords’ driving up rent prices in Toronto faster than other types of landlords: study

A group known as “financial landlords” are driving up the cost of rental housing in the city, worsening affordability, according to a new study by researchers at the University of Waterloo.

Financial firms, including private equity, asset managers, and real estate investment trusts (REITs), have been snapping up rental housing stock in Toronto for decades and according to the study, these groups charge monthly rents that are 44 per cent higher than the average neighbourhood price in Canada’s largest city. This represents about $670 more on average per month, according to the researchers.

Until the Feds shut the immigration floodgates this will only get worse. And worse is what they want.

PBS, NPR, and the ‘Unfounded’ Charge of the Bidens Hiding Cancer

Spokesperson for Joe’s butt.

You can always tell when a leftist media outlet doesn’t like a story angle. They’ll cry “no evidence,” and you want to ask them if they actually spent any time searching for evidence. It’s their way of suggesting the story is too disreputable to pursue, like Hunter Biden’s laptop.

On the PBS News Hour on May 19, the term was “unfounded.” Republicans are “pouncing” on the news that Joe Biden has an aggressive case of prostate cancer. PBS anchor Amna Nawaz lamented: “Donald Trump Jr. has posted online, claiming that the diagnosis here was part of a wider cover-up around Mr. Biden’s health. He’s also repeating unfounded claims that Biden clearly had dementia.”

Child abuse

LILLEY: Liberals lied on the carbon tax, according to Statistics Canada data

When the House of Commons was last sitting in December — some five months ago — Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre raised the issue of the carbon tax and inflation. Then Liberal prime minister Justin Trudeau called Poilievre’s statements “absolute nonsense” and dismissed the idea that the carbon tax and inflation were connected.

Carney’s window of political opportunity for pipelines is short

The Quebec government is open to an oil pipeline.

More than that: In a podcast interview last week, Premier François Legault mused about building a pipeline to an export terminal in Sept-Iles, on Quebec’s North Shore.

“Could we imagine having a pipeline that goes through northern Quebec which could end, for example, in the port of Sept-Iles?” Mr. Legault said in the interview.

I doubt we will see a pipeline built during WEF Boy’s tenure.
