Hamas ‘quietly drops’ thousands of deaths from casualty figures

Claims that 70 per cent of the fatalities are women and children are complete nonsense, says report

New research shows that Hamas has quietly dropped thousands of deaths from its Gaza war casualty figures.

Salo Aizenberg, from the US-based non-profit organisation Honest Reporting, said that Hamas’s March 2025 casualty update had removed thousands of people it previously listed as having been killed last year.

“Hamas’s new March 2025 fatality list quietly drops 3,400 fully “identified” deaths listed in its August and October 2024 reports—including 1,080 children. These “deaths” never happened. The numbers were falsified—again,” Mr Aizenberg wrote.

The Eurasia Group’s fingerprints are everywhere and still no one seems interested in posing the question: who are these guys?

The difference between journalism and stenography isn’t the ability to report on the news: it’s the drive to discover what’s behind the easily seen and heard.

Stories that reveal where decisions are made – where power and influence are vested – are the ones that give context to the events of the day. They are the reports that lead to an informed public and present readers with the value propositions required for them to subscribe. And to trust.

Pentagon Eliminates Lower Fitness Standards for Women in Combat Roles

The Pentagon this week ordered the elimination of lower physical fitness standards for women in combat units, a move that is likely to hinder the recruitment and retention of women in particularly dangerous military jobs.

An order by Pete Hegseth, the defense secretary, dated Sunday and announced on Monday, mandated that all physical fitness requirements for combat arms positions — units likely to see significant fighting in wartime — be “sex-neutral,” which is likely to significantly reduce the number of women who meet the requirements. The order directs military leadership to implement the new fitness standards by the end of October.

LILLEY: Chiang is gone and so is any claim that Carney is a leader

Liberal MP Paul Chiang’s announcement that he would step down as a candidate just before midnight Monday shows a massive failure of leadership by Mark Carney.

It took four days for Chiang to be removed as the Liberal candidate in Markham-Unionville and it came after Carney had spent all morning defending him.

Is Germany heading for a Russia reset?

Well, that didn’t take long. Peace negotiations over an end to the war in Ukraine are barely underway, and senior German politicians are already calling for their country to resume its ties to Russia.

The next German government is set to contain fewer people who have a problem with that, and the lure of a return to cheap energy is great. Is Germany on the brink of reverting to its pre-war relationship with Moscow?

I think the jig is up since the Ukraine conflict was revealed as having morphed into a Deep State forever war against Russia without the approval of congress.

Poilievre says the Canada-U.S. relationship can be salvaged, while Carney wants to shop us to his globalist pals for profit

Poilievre says the Canada-U.S. relationship can be salvaged, while Liberal Leader Mark Carney says it’s basically “over” and time to seek allies elsewhere.

OTTAWA — Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says the Canada-U.S. relationship can be salvaged, while Liberal Leader Mark Carney says it’s basically “over” and time to seek allies elsewhere.

That’s the key difference in the approach of the two major party leaders toward how they propose to deal with U.S. President Donald Trump and his short- and long-term threats to Canada’s economy and independence.

Carney says if Trump can be persuaded to reach a new comprehensive economic and security agreement with Canada, he is willing to negotiate with the U.S., but his sights are already on Europe.

Could America run out of toilet paper?

Americans could face shortages of toilet roll and panic buying in supermarkets not seen since the first, nervy days of the pandemic, according to soft but strong warnings from timber and pulp experts.

President Trump’s planned tariffs on Canadian imports, including 27 per cent levies on lumber, would raise the price of a type of wood pulp that is a key ingredient in American toilet paper.

US Arrests BC Man, Says He Smuggled Goods to Pakistan’s Atomic Bomb Program

U.S. authorities have arrested a 67-year-old man from Surrey, B.C., accusing him of smuggling banned goods to Pakistan’s military and its nuclear weapons program over more than 15 years.

The U.S. Department of Justice says in a Friday news release that Mohammad Jawaid Aziz was arrested trying to cross into the United States from British Columbia on March 21.

Poilievre says the federal election can’t just be about Donald Trump

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre mounted a defence of his campaign messaging Monday, saying he has no qualms about focusing on issues like the housing crisis, cost of living concerns and relatively weak economic growth, even as some of his critics say he should go all in on Canada-U.S. relations.

In the first week of this federal campaign, Poilievre has so far largely stuck to the playbook that catapulted him and his party to the lead in the polls for much of the last two years.

Liberal Paul Chiang ‘standing aside’ after suggesting Chinese bounty be collected on Conservative candidate

Liberal incumbent Paul Chiang will not be running in the ongoing federal election after suggesting earlier this year that people should try to claim a Chinese bounty on a Conservative candidate.

Michael Zwaagstra: Toronto Students Suffering Under Woke School Board

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is the largest school board in Canada. It might also be the most woke. The telltale sign of wokeism is an obsession with race, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Woke ideology elevates these characteristics above everything else—including excellence and merit.

This is why in 2022 TDSB trustees changed the admissions criteria for their specialty arts and sports schools from a performance-based standard to a random lottery system. Trustees argued that this change promotes “equity” for all students. What it really did, of course, was lower the average skillset of students in these schools, since they can no longer screen applicants based on skill.

Racists run the TDSB.
