The left’s grotesque betrayal of Jewish women

Remember when it was rapists who weren’t welcome in Hollywood? Now it’s people who oppose rape. Witness the fury that swirled around Gwyneth Paltrow when she posted an Instagram story saying: ‘Rape is not resistance or freedom-fighting.’ She was referring to Hamas’s use of sexual violence as a weapon against the women of southern Israel during its pogrom of 7 October. And for that – for humbly suggesting that it was wicked of the marauding misogynists of Hamas to visit such sexual horrors on Israeli women – she’s been branded scum.

German Leftist Newspaper Spied on Its Own Journalists

A media scandal is rocking the left-liberal German daily newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) after it emerged that bosses spied on their own staff and reporters to find a “mole” who had leaked info about the plagiarism affair of the deputy editor of the paper.

Süddeutsche Zeitung is now accused of bigotry and double standards when it comes to ‘whistleblowers.’ NGO Reporters Without Borders criticized the paper’s management and wrote that the protection of confidential sources is in danger.

The scandal has put the reputation of SZ seriously at risk.

John Robson: Canada Sends Verbal Support Against Houthis, Does Nothing

With the generally benign Pax Americana of freedom of the seas, stable financial institutions, and deterrence of direct, large-scale attacks on open societies under increasing assault, it’s good to read headlines like “Latest wave of U.S., Britain strikes on Yemen’s Houthis had support of Canada.” Good here meaning “bad” because it’s false… and worse.

That CP story, following puzzling modern journalistic practice, cited something the Department of National Defence said without providing a link to what’s surely readily available online. However, I did track it down and it’s this: “Joint Statement from Australia, Bahrain, Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and United States on Additional Strikes Against the Houthis in Yemen.” So we didn’t even unleash a barrage of press releases. We just fired off one manufactured elsewhere.

Toronto expects to see significant tourism push from World Cup games, but cost estimates still unclear

Toronto is two years away from hosting one of the biggest sports tournaments in the world — with an expected significant tourism boost, questions loom about how much it will cost taxpayers and what the city will actually bring in.

FIFA announced Sunday that Toronto was selected to host a total of six World Cup 2026 matches.

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow said she was “thrilled” to hear that the city’s been chosen for six games.

“With open arms, Toronto will welcome the world to experience the rich diversity and dynamism of our multicultural city,” Chow said on Sunday.

I fully expect a financial bloodbath from the secret deal that was negotiated by the Tory regime, his floozie of the day and his cronies at MLSE.

Prime Minister invited Waffen-SS veteran Hunka to his official reception for Zelensky

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invited Yaroslav Hunka, the Ukrainian Waffen-SS veteran who received ovations in the House of Commons during a visit by Volodymyr Zelensky, to a reception he hosted in the Ukrainian President’s honour the same day.

Mr. Hunka, who was 98 at the time, did not attend the Toronto reception, but the invitation by the Prime Minister to the exclusive event with the Ukrainian President will raise fresh questions about who approved the Waffen-SS veteran’s attendance, and if his background had been checked.

Two states, one for Jews, one for terrorists

How sweetly this is working out for Yahya Sinwar and the rest of them who run Hamas.

Not for them the disgrace of defeat when this is all over. Not for them anything like Japan’s ceremonial surrender aboard the battleship Missouri, MacArthur seeing to it that the Japanese delegation, heads bowed, signed all the papers to signify their formal humiliation and capitulation.

The Hamas terrorists have no such worries. For what they did Oct. 7, they are not being punished.

The Home Office dealt with triple killer Khairi Saadallah with “woeful inadequacy” before the Reading terror attack, an inquest has heard.

The director of the Home Office’s Foreign National Offenders Returns Command (FNORC), Jane Sutton, said the quality of work and interactions with the Libyan refugee “fell below the standards that would have been expected”.

Leigh Revers: Even U of T’s scientists are captive to the irrational ideology of DEI

Amid the febrile ideological skirmishes that have begun to break out across Canadian university campuses, the impartial observer would quickly conclude that dark clouds are gathering over our modern society when they notice academic scientists contemplating ushering such counter-rational notions as “Indigenous science” into their classrooms. The thought that a new generation of physicians in Canada might qualify in the profession believing the ancestral knowledge and value systems of the Inuit and Métis should play as much a role in your diagnosis as an MRI scan seems at once risible and regressive to most Canadians. But, if you trace that doomsaying prediction back to today’s university quadrangles, you soon realize that it is merely a logical consequence of what we ungovernable, outspoken academics are now planning to teach.

Biden’s ‘Two-State Solution’ To Reward Palestinian Terrorism, Destroy Israel

In the span of two days, both the US administration and the British government came out with similar statements that they are considering recognizing a Palestinian state. The statements send a message to the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group and other Palestinians that the Americans and British want to give them a prize for the October 7 attack on Israel in which 1,200 Israelis were murdered, decapitated, raped, tortured and burned alive.
