A dozen NYC art galleries soaked with ‘blood’ and ‘intifada’ graffiti dubbed ‘antisemitic’

A slew of art galleries across New York City have been hit with anti-Israel graffiti and daubed with red paint — yet some gallery owners have controversially chosen to keep the attacks secret.

Insiders are divided on whether to dismiss the perpetrators as a nuisance and ignore them, or decry what they see as rank antisemitism. Some gallery owners say that they don’t want to lend credibility to the vandals by publicizing the attacks, and still others say that as artists, it would be hypocritical to repress expression.

Military was warned some Cyclone helicopter blades are defective, could rip apart in flight

Report says Cyclones’ ‘unmitigated risk level’ now ‘extremely high’

Air force technicians are being forced to perform more frequent inspections of Canada’s trouble-prone CH-148 Cyclone helicopters after the U.S. manufacturer found a defect related to the main rotor blades, says an internal report.

CBC News has obtained a copy of what’s known as a Record of Airworthiness Risk Management report for the maritime helicopter — basically, the military air safety branch’s plan to manage the aircraft’s critical deficiencies.

The unsigned, undated document says the CH-148’s maker Sikorsky alerted the military on June 6, 2022, to a potential “debonding” problem with the main rotor blades installed on some Cyclones.

Suspicions Grow About German Left-Wing Website’s Shady Reporting On The AfD party

A left-wing German publication that falsely accused the nationalist AfD party of planning to “deport millions of Germans with a migrant background,” has come under fire for altering its story—again.

As we previously reported, Correctiv, a partly Soros-funded investigative website, made explosive claims earlier this month of a top-level meeting between AfD officials and members of the European ‘ethnocultural transnational’ Identitarian Movement—joined by a small number of officials from the centre-right CDU—alleging the existence of a right-wing plot to deport millions of migrants, including those with German citizenship. The article resulted in hundreds of thousands of people taking to the streets around Germany to protest against ‘far-right extremism.’

Canada may impose sanctions on extremist Israeli settlers in West Bank & maybe even on Hamas too says Foreign Minister Joly

Canada may impose sanctions on some Jewish setters in the West Bank and is renewing calls for a two-state solution as the devastating Israel-Hamas war enters its third month, Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly said after she arrived in Ukraine on Friday.

“We are working on addressing the issue of extremist settlers in the West Bank through immigration measures and sanctions,” she told The Globe and Mail in an interview. “We are working with the G7 on this.”

… She added that senior members of Hamas, the Palestinian military and political group that has governed the Gaza Strip since 2007, and who are considered a terrorist organization by Canada, the United States, the European Union and Israel, “may also be sanctioned.”

Inside the elite Israeli assassination unit steeped in history

Dressed as a woman, a prime minister in the making raided a building on a crowded Beirut street in 1973, assassinating several members of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation in retribution for the massacre of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics the previous year.

An hour before sunrise on Tuesday this week, Israeli agents disguised as doctors, women and patients entered the Ibn Sina hospital in the militant stronghold of Jenin in the north West Bank to kill a Hamas commander and two local militiamen they say were about to commit a terror attack.

Jamie Sarkonak: Danielle Smith brings reason in the face of hysterical gender activists

Premier Danielle Smith isn’t taking the easy route in Alberta when it comes to gender policy, but she’s taking the right one. On Wednesday, she announced that the province will introduce age restrictions on gender hormone treatments and surgeries and require schools to obtain parental consent to socially transition students aged 15 and under. Sex-education will become opt-in and sex-based sport protections will be explored, as well. The changes will come about through a mix of policy and law, advanced likely around the fall, according to a statement from the premier’s office.

“This Is Not the Europe We Want”: Farmers Bring the Fight to EU’s Front Door

EU policies are suffocating European farmers with “Soviet-style administration of agriculture,” French MEP says

Protesting farmers were met by riot police with fire hoses just metres from the European Parliament on Thursday, as they tried to grab the attention of the European Council by expressing their collective outrage at EU green policies threatening their livelihood.

In an unusually rowdy protest, even by Brussels standards, tyre fires and tractor blockades greeted European leaders as a transnational coalition of farming groups took to the streets. They are angered by EU green policies—including decrees forcing active farmland to go fallow, restricting the use of fertiliser, and limiting permitted amount of livestock—as well as national edicts such as reduced subsidies on diesel fuel—that are direct results of the EU’s Net Zero commitments.

Unexpected $1,000 expense too much for most Canadians under 55: new survey

OTTAWA – Many Canadians “lack a financial cushion” according to a new Angus Reid survey(opens in a new tab), which found majority of respondents under 55 could not handle an unexpected expense of more than $1,000.

“As housing costs continue to rise from this period of high interest rates, renters and mortgage holders feel squeezed,” the Angus Reid survey said.

This financial concern is compounded by half of those surveyed in the same age group, worrying about losing their jobs.

Mass migration will permanently alter Britain

It’s not just a matter of hospitals and houses. The British way of life could be irrevocably changed

Call me old-fashioned, but I rather liked our country when women and children didn’t have acid thrown at them in the street, teachers weren’t forced into hiding with their family for educating pupils about religious tolerance, Saturdays in the capital didn’t feature anti-Semitic hate marches and well-loved Members of Parliament didn’t quit their jobs after being subject to death threats because they spoke up for their Jewish constituents.

Volvo, An Early Electric Car Adopter, Cuts Off Funding For Its EV Affiliate

STOCKHOLM—Volvo Car said it won’t provide further funding to Polestar, the electric-car maker it created with Volvo’s Chinese owner Geely—the latest EV retrenchment by the global auto industry.

The auto industry’s pivot to electric vehicles has been rocked by setbacks this year, just as a flood of new battery-powered models is hitting showrooms.

Earlier this week, French automaker Renault said it has decided to cancel the initial public offering of its electric-car unit Ampere. Ford, meanwhile, has slashed production of its electric F-150 Lightning, a pickup truck that has generated major buzz since its launch. Rental-car firm Hertz has said it was dumping about one-third of its EV rental car fleet, replacing the cars with gas-engine vehicles.

Agenda 2030: A Power-mad Document

The United Nations Agenda 2030, Section 18 of 91 sections, begins with the following words:

We are announcing today 17 Sustainable Development Goals with 169 associated targets which are integrated and indivisible. Never before have world leaders pledged common action and endeavor across such a broad and universal policy agenda.

Putting aside the amateurish opening four words, which sound more like a press release than a serious policy statement, the drafters of the statement are actually telling the truth.  There has never been such a global policy statement as this.  It really is not about policy, but about an intended power-grab of unprecedented proportions.

Ukraine’s military is beset by political division

Confusion over the sacking of a general has revealed Zelenskyy’s falling popularity

The warfare in Ukraine dominating headlines over the past week has taken on a fratricidal flavour. Largely political in nature, it has been, if not literally fatal, arguably more poisonous. On Monday, scraps of a rumour made it online: Volodymyr Zelenskyy was about to fire his Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi. Apparently the two had a meeting at which the Ukrainian President told him the news personally.
