Bristol stabbing: Murder police hunt knifemen who stabbed two boys aged 15 and 16 to death and vow to ‘leave no stone unturned’ as they go door-to-door amid probe

Police have vowed to ‘leave no stone unturned’ in the hunt for knifemen after two boys, aged 15 and 16, were stabbed to death in south Bristol on Saturday night.

Police scrambled to the scene ‘within minutes’ of a call to an address on Ilminster Avenue, in Knowle West, at around 11.20pm yesterday where the two teenagers were discovered.

Police carried out first aid at the scene before the two boys were rushed to hospital by ambulance after sustaining fatal stab wounds.

Social cohesion may be at threat.

Days after Globe and Mail reporter Marieke Walsh asked Justin Trudeau about the optics of accepting a pricey holiday vacation as many Canadians struggle to put food on the table, the Canadian prime minister is still being jeered online for his robotic response in which he defended his decision to accept a free Jamaican getaway.

Algoma U’s Brampton enrolment jumped 900% in three years due to international students

The new year in downtown Brampton was marked by a series of student protests at the city’s satellite campus of Algoma University.

As the exploitation of international students at post-secondary institutions across Canada continues to make national headlines, the hard-to-fathom enrolment trajectory at Algoma’s local campus illustrates the fundamental problem: in just three years the number of students at the campus has grown by approximately 900 per cent.

Almost all of them are from India. There is no housing provided for them and they pay more than three times the fees charged to Canadian and American students.

Three US troops killed in drone attack in Jordan

Three US troops have been killed and 25 injured in a drone attack on a US base in Jordan, the US military said.

US Central Command (Centcom) said in a statement the casualties were caused by a drone attack at a base in northeast Jordan, near the Syria border.

US President Joe Biden said that the attack was carried out by “radical Iran-backed militant groups”.

This is the first time US soldiers have been killed in the region after Hamas’s 7 October attack on Israel.

There Must Be Some Redress for the Emergencies Act Mistake

Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland tried to make Freedom Convoy participants into villains. Whenever they spoke about the convoy, during those fateful days in January 2022, they did their best to twist the facts and make the protesters look terrible. But by invoking the heavy-handed Emergencies Act, they instead made the convoy members the victims of government overreach.

UN’s Top Scammer Calls on West to Resume Funding for Gaza Aid Agency UNWRA Despite Evidence its Employees Aided Terrorists

The secretary-general of the United Nations on Sunday called on countries to continue funding the main agency providing aid in Gaza after several of its employees were accused of taking part in the Hamas attack on Israel that ignited the war four months ago.

The dispute engulfing the biggest provider of aid to Palestinians came as American officials said negotiators were closing in on a cease-fire agreement. The emerging deal would bring a two-month halt to the Israeli-Palestinian violence, which has stoked instability across the Middle East.

Just wizzin along on the TTC!

The (er) joys of riding Toronto streetcars

I love a streetcar ride.

I’ve been riding Toronto streetcars as long as I can remember (I’m on my third generation of them now) and it’s always been my favourite kind of transit trip. I love the way they glide along the streets, rather than lurch and bump like the bus. I love watching the panorama of urban life outside. The views from the big picture windows of the latest generation are wonderful.

But even I have to admit that, lately, riding the streetcar has become an awful pain.

Just wizzin along on the TTC!

Next stop 3rd World Central!

This woman is likely mentally ill. Why is she allowed to roam the streets when she is so obviously damaged?

Huge breakthrough in search for Amelia Earhart’s missing plane

A South Carolina man believes he may have discovered the plane Amelia Earhart was flying when she vanished over the Pacific Ocean in 1937.

Former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer Tony Romeo turned his fascination with the legendary pilot into an adventure when he embarked on an ambitious search for Earhart’s lost plane.

Romeo, who sold his commercial property investments to fund his search, managed to take a sonar image of an aircraft-shaped object on the ocean floor in December.

Rape crisis centre may lose funding over pro-Hamas politics

It’s a sick and twisted world when those who are supposed to help women suffering sexual violence instead stand with those who perpetrate it. That’s the case with one Toronto organization that claims to support a “world free of sexual violence.”

Note that the centre “May” lose funding. Think Chow will act or Ford?

Can Canada Be Saved From Extinction?

The greatest crisis now facing the West is not so-called climate change or the real dangers of mass immigration, although these are being used by global influencers to destabilize populations and even overthrow sovereignties. The greatest crisis is not the rise of surveillance regimes that gravely threaten freedom and democracy, nor is it the rise of a legion of sexual ideologies that assault the primordial male-female binary and the procreative relationship that is its exclusive prerogative.
