Israeli hostages at risk from deadly fungus with ‘no treatment’ found in Hamas tunnel network

A mysterious deadly fungus in the Hamas tunnel network poses a new threat to the 136 hostages being held in Gaza, Israeli officials have claimed.

A member of the hostage team in Israel, speaking on condition of anonymity, said: “There is a deadly fungus in the tunnels with no treatment.”

“Hamas members there are now more immune to it but there is a high chance many of the hostages are sick and deteriorating due to this fungus,” the official said.

Low-energy Jagmeet Singh is squandering what should be the NDP’s moment

The federal New Democrats recently announced a bit of a leadership shake-up: Anne McGrath, whose many past roles have included chief of staff to Jack Layton and principal secretary to Rachel Notley, is stepping down as party president to become principal secretary for Jagmeet Singh. The press release said the changes were about “building momentum for the next election,” which New Democrats could surely use: Over the last two years the Conservatives have surged to roughly 40 per cent in the polls; the Liberals have tanked to roughly 25 per cent; and the NDP is right where it was before, at 20 per cent or less.

Jill Biden trolled for giving speech at unfortunately named ‘Hunter High’

First Lady Jill Biden’s political advance team was ridiculed on social media after she appeared to speak at a local high school in Utah, named Hunter High.

While visiting the Beehive State to attend a fundraiser for President Biden, the first lady stopped by the school in West Valley City, southwest of Salt Lake City, to visit faculty and hear the school choir perform. During her visit, Biden — a former teacher for over 30 years — spoke about the value of education and the importance of educators.

The Police risk becoming another wing of the anti-Semitic Left

It was creepy. In early January I returned from Israel, where I had come face to face with the after-effects of Hamas’s rampage on October 7th, a military invasion by terrorists who indulged in some of the most sadistic war crimes ever committed. And yet, as I walked through Heathrow, I saw signs asking for witnesses to war crimes in Gaza to come forward and report them to the Metropolitan Police

Kitchener, Ont. man trying to get 19 family members out of Gaza

Hazim Almasri is desperate to get his family out of Gaza.

“Every time I call [my sister] she’s crying. She’s afraid she will lose her kids,” said Almasri, a Palestinian-Canadian who lives in Kitchener, Ont.

Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in October, he’s been making every effort to reunite with his 19 family members, 14 of them children, currently living in the besieged Palestinian territory.

Trump card: Pathetic Liberals say much is at stake as they paint Tories as ‘MAGA’ politicians

OTTAWA – As the United States election cycle goes into full swing ahead of a pivotal election later this year, federal Liberals north of the border have been increasingly comparing Canadian Conservatives to Trump Republicans.

For several months, the refrain from Liberal MPs is that the federal Tories are doing “American-style” politics, and their leader, Pierre Poilievre, is representing “Trump North.”

Conservative MPs are using “MAGA” tactics, the Liberals say, referring to Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan. They’re invoking it just as the ex-president looks for another kick at the presidential can.

Ukraine’s average soldier is 43. How can they keep Putin at bay?

Volunteers who signed up at the beginning of the war with Russia are mentally and physically exhausted and are no longer being replaced by younger fighters

When the Russian missiles began to fall, some of the Ukrainian troops sprinting for the cover of a nearby basement were quicker than others. “There was one soldier, he was 48. He was really slow and there was a queue of people behind him waiting to get in,” said Andriy Piddubnyak, a Ukrainian serviceman who is also in his forties. No one died but the delay was “really dangerous”, he said. It was also uncomfortably familiar.

The war against Hamas on campus

Harvard University has borne the brunt of the backlash for the antisemitism of its student protesters in the last few months: their president had to step down over her mismanagement of the issue and a plagiarism scandal. But Harvard is far from the only elite school in the nation in botching their approach to pro-Palestinian activists. It’s not even alone in its city. Boston University sits just over a mile away, across the Charles River — and its administration has avoided the same level of backlash for its failure to tackle open hatred of Jews and Israelis on campus.

Our corrupt FBI: New Hampshire edition

This Tuesday, New Hampshire will hold its quadrennial first-in-the-nation primary.  I am sorry to say, I have come to know something of the seamier side of this small state, writing these past years about a great legal injustice that has occurred up there.  This is something most Granite Staters don’t like to think about: the Fr. Gordon MacRae frame-up.

Thanks to the state’s tiny, inbred legal and law enforcement community, the matter was kept quiet for years.  But the truth is inevitably coming out, especially regarding the “hero detective” who doesn’t look so good now.

Why Would Google Demonetize This Article?

A ruthless and ubiquitous agent of cultural coercion.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,” and yada yada, but that’s just what the dead white male slaveowners say. In our current far-left kleptocracy, we very much have an established religion, lavishly funded by the U.S. government and celebrated everywhere, although it remains unofficial. Still, it’s official enough that Google, that ruthless and ubiquitous agent of cultural coercion, demonetizes articles that dare to criticize it.

The myth of ‘the Muslim world’

Birmingham England

The Israel-Hamas War has exposed the danger of Islamic identity politics.

This week, the idea of ‘the Muslim world’ took one hell of a beating. The notion of an ummah has been left in tatters. The fantasy of a global people with shared interests and experiences – almost an Islamic class – is now surely kaput. For while woke activists in the West might still speak of Muslims as a bloc, if not a blob, elsewhere in the world Muslims are at war. Two of the most powerful Muslim-majority nations, Iran and Pakistan, got dangerously close to all-out conflict this week. Tell me: who should the ‘Muslim community’ in Britain or the US or Canada support in this violent border skirmish?

Electric Vehicles Enter the ‘Total Failure’ Phase of Their Existence

Is it time to start asking whether electric vehicles have any redeeming value in 2024? Given the recent spate of bad news surrounding them, the answer to that question is becoming clearer.

As RedState reported, Ford has cut the production of its “Lightning” electric pickup truck in half. Why? Mainly because no one wants to buy them. Why do they not want to buy them? Because they are overpriced, unreliable, and impractical.

Huge ‘race-fueled’ brawl between black and Somalian students breaks out at Minneapolis high school with parents arrested by cops

A ‘race-fueled’ brawl erupted between black and Somali students at a Minneapolis high school, it is claimed, leading to the arrest of at least two adults accused of joining in.

Abreeha Annalisa Smith, 22, and Latoys Renail Milon, 41, were arrested but later released without being charged after fights broke at St. Louis Park High School in Minnesota on Thursday.
