Federal public servants warned the government two years ago that large increases to immigration could affect housing affordability and services, internal documents show.
Documents obtained by The Canadian Press through an access-to-information request show Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada analyzed the potential effects immigration would have on the economy, housing and services, as it prepared its immigration targets for 2023-2025.
The deputy minister, among others, was warned in 2022 that housing construction had not kept up with the pace of population growth.
In my view this is a cruel criminal act that has caused deep and lasting harm to Canada’s social fabric.

Whoopi Goldberg told her co-stars from The View that if Donald Trump wins the 2024 election and returns to The White House, he will ‘disappear gay folks’ as well as journalists.
During Tuesday’s daytime talk show, Goldberg told her co-hosts and the audience how she believed it was imperative to support Biden’s run for re-election and added that those who don’t would be supporting a ‘dictator.’

OTTAWA – Jewish groups in Ontario are calling on the province to end hateful and intimidating protests they say are targeting Toronto’s largest Jewish neighbourhoods.
An appeal spearheaded by the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) is asking Queen’s Park and Ontario Attorney General Doug Downey to take action, urging politicians at all levels to end the protests before somebody gets hurt, or worse.

Canada has granted permanent residency to more than 355,000 foreign students over the past three years, according to recent disclosures by the Department of Immigration.
These students are part of a larger group of over 627,000 former temporary residents who obtained permanent residency during the same period, spanning from 2021 to 2023, as first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter. The presidents of Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania and MIT assert in a Congressional hearing that calling on campus for the genocide of the Jews is an exercise in free speech and so not a violation of university policies. The breath-taking hypocrisy of this claim, to say nothing of its immorality, was obvious to everyone who does not subscribe to the newspeak of American academia. Such a call for genocide with regard to any other group would, of course, not be tolerated. In addition, all three universities are constantly violating free speech precepts by limiting the access of conservative voices to their campuses and barring other sorts of speech that favored groups might find offensive.
