Global Warming and ‘Big Bad Oil’

Fanatics will always show their true colours

Even before it started, it was evident that the COP28 jamboree to “save the planet” would not satisfy the high expectations, some of them contradictory, of the 198 nations and dozens of non-governmental organizations attending the event with different agendas, including some hidden ones.

It is, therefore no surprise that some participants pronounced the event “a big failure” even before the conference president, the UAE’s Sheikh Sultan Ahmed al-Jaber, struck the final gavel.

The next move was to blame “the Arabs” and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) as a whole.

Putin’s patron saint of nuclear weapons

Russia’s red button is in the hands of God

During a service this autumn, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow wished a happy birthday to one of his congregants in the Church of Christ the Saviour. It was no ordinary salutation. Radii Il’kaev, who had just turned 85, was a nuclear physicist who had worked for much of his life in the secretive town of Sarov, the birthplace of the Soviet atomic bomb. Long before it became a centre of nuclear defence, the town had been home to a monastery where one of Russia’s most popular saints — Serafim — had lived and prayed.

Islamism is rampant in French schools

A rigid incarnation of the religion has taken root in many classrooms, threatening the liberal values of France. It serves as a warning

Twenty years ago, the story that a bunch of teenaged French pupils had protested they were “shocked” by their teacher showing them a 1603 painting of five nude women would have caused hilarity across the country, not fear. “What are they complaining about?” would have been the universal guffaw. But the teachers at the Jacques Cartier secondary school in Issou, west of Paris, have known otherwise for years. The scenario that unfolded in a French literature classroom last week has happened many, many times across the country in the same kind of state sink schools. It has, in the last three years, led to two of their profession being murdered by pupils or friends of their pupils, abetted by many parents supposedly roused to outrage by some sort of infringement to strict religious “morals”.

An Activist King is Bad for Britain

The pillars of the British state are not the bastions of conservatism they used to be. The Church of England, flagellating itself over its “links with slavery,” bends the knee to the gospel of BLM. The headmaster of Eton College—which educated 20 of our prime ministers—declares himself “woke.” Judges still don their robes and wigs, but now they spout the dogmas of critical race theory. Britain’s Civil Servants, once known for stiff-upper-lipped efficiency, fritter away their time in endless diversity lectures. And presiding over all this is a so-called Conservative Party that has allowed UK immigration, both legal and illegal, to reach extraordinary new highs. So total has Britain’s cultural revolution been that it “has emptied every symbol of its former nature so that nothing is any longer what it claims to be,” as Peter Hitchens, its foremost chronicler, wearily concludes.

US universities produced a monster they cannot control

In 1951 William Buckley Jr. – the most influential conservative American intellectual of the XX century whose clash with the gay liberal dandy Gore Vidal has become legendary – published “God and man at Yale”, a formidable indictment against the relativism that already reigned in universities. If he were alive, Buckley would write the sequel: “Allah and woke at Yale”.

Two days ago, at Yale, pro-Palestinian militants covered the Jewish menorah with their flag, while the Yale cafeteria removed the name “Israel” from a salad and the Wall Street Journal revealed that Yale has become a “hostile” environment to Jewish students.

The pro-Hamas barbarians are within the walls of the citadel of civilization.

Feasibility of two-state solution has increased since Israel-Hamas war started: Joly

Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly says she believes a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict is more possible to achieve now than before the Israel-Hamas war began more than two months ago.

When asked by CTV’s Question Period host Vassy Kapelos in an interview airing Sunday whether she thinks the feasibility of a two-state solution has diminished since Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, Joly said she thinks “the contrary.”

“I think because this conflict is so difficult for Israel, so difficult for the Palestinians, so difficult for the world, not only in Canada because we’ve seen the rise of antisemitism, the rise of Islamophobia and just the rise of tension,” she said.

Ottawa: Jewish Group Wants Investigation Into Anti-Semitic Online Posts By Dad Of Alleged Teen Terrorist

Jewish group wants investigation into online posts following Ottawa terror arrest

A Canadian Jewish organization wants police to investigate Facebook posts allegedly made by the father of a teenage terror suspect arrested in Ottawa.

On Facebook, a user whose name and photo match the father of the youth arrested by RCMP on Friday night posted several comments about Jews and Israelis.

According to the Facebook translation of the Arabic-language posts, they refer to Zionists and Jews in a derogatory manner, while one says to get rid of all Israelis.

What we see currently on our streets is exactly what this blog and it’s readers have warned about for years.

This is the 2nd and 3rd generation of Islamists, many more militant than their parents.

With a hatred nurtured by family, community, Islam and their Mosques aided and abetted by multiculturalism and diversity it is no wonder they hold Canada in such contempt.

When they tell you they want to kill Jews and Christians believe them.

Bob Rae: Siding With Hamas Is The Compassionate Thing To Do

Canada’s UN ambassador defends UN vote as ‘compassionate’ response to humanitarian disaster in Gaza

Canada’s ambassador to the UN says Canada’s decision to vote in favour of a humanitarian ceasefire was a necessary reaction to the increasingly desperate humanitarian situation in Gaza, as major international powers join the call for a ceasefire.

In an interview airing Sunday on Rosemary Barton Live, Bob Rae said that Canada could not stand by and remain fixed in its position as the scale of destruction and number of civilian deaths in Gaza continued to rise.

“It was a changing of the situation on the ground. The war has caused such major destruction in Gaza, and caused such humanitarian hardship … and over the last three weeks [the calls of humanitarian agencies] have gotten more and more urgent, so naturally it’s something that causes us to reflect,” he told CBC chief political correspondent Rosemary Barton.

How drugs turned Portland into a ‘demonic hellhole’

In November 2020, Oregon passed Measure 110, decriminalizing non-commercial drug possession. The state also significantly increased funding for recovery and harm reduction programs. It sounded like a great plan to voters, so it passed with 60 percent approval.

The deadliest, most addictive drug in history was introduced to a vulnerable population just as the state decriminalized drugs
