Government approved minority groups get off easy when charged with rape

Jamie Sarkonak: Racial discounts for sex offenders undermine justice

One would hope that a justice system would punish rapists equally: Non-white immigrant or white fourth-generation Canadian, they should be looking at a similar jail sentence for that kind of vile crime. In reality, though, rapists who can play the diversity card have a decent chance of getting a Canadian judge to lighten their sentence.

Feds Say Immigrants Needed to Build Homes, but Only 1.6 Percent Have the Skills

Only 1.6 percent of newcomers to Canada in 2022 were accepted based on having skills to work in construction, federal data indicates, as the Liberal government defends its immigration levels citing the need for new trade workers to build homes.

Immigration Canada provided the data on Dec. 6 in response to an order paper from Conservative MP Pat Kelly.

Conrad Black: No excuse for Trudeau turning his back on Israel’s just war

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s call on Tuesday for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war was mindless, reflexive, imitative nonsense. It appears reasonable when hostilities exist between a country and another armed entity to suggest that the hostilities should stop. But this is not simply a magnification of a brawl, a public disorder or an occasion when an argument between two individuals degenerates into reciprocal efforts to inflict physical harm on each other. This was the legitimate reaction of a sovereign nation-state to a brutal sneak attack upon civilians that violated an existing ceasefire. It was even more outrageous than the Japanese attack on the United States in 1941, which was only against military targets, and which began hours before the Japanese ambassador called upon the U.S. secretary of state to say that there appeared to be no good reason to continue negotiations towards assuring peace in the Pacific. The secretary of state, Cordell Hull, on instruction from President Franklin D. Roosevelt, gave no hint that he was aware that war was already underway. U.S. President Joe Biden is waffling because that is what he does, and he has allowed his party to be undermined by woke, Americophobia fanatics; Trudeau has no such excuses, inadequate as they are.

Russian Official Fears Men Licking Ice Cream Has Gay Undertone

An official in Siberia has said that a promotional image of two men in summer clothing enjoying ice cream in sub-zero temperatures should not be displayed because it was connected to “non-traditional relationships.”

In November 2022, Russia’s parliament passed a law banning “LGBT propaganda,” which criminalizes any act regarded as an attempt to promote what Russia calls “non-traditional sexual relations” in film, online, advertising or in public.

GOLDSTEIN: Trudeau sucks and blows on the war in Gaza

Bait-and-switch diplomacy – promising a superior product and then delivering an inferior one – is a lousy way to run Canada’s foreign policy.

It’s also what best describes Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s strategy last week in supporting a United Nations General Assembly ceasefire resolution on the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

Canadian housing starts dive as higher rates bite

Canadian housing starts plunged 22% in November from the previous month and missed estimates by a wide margin as higher borrowing costs hurt groundbreaking on multiple unit and single-family detached urban homes, data from the national housing agency showed on Friday.

The seasonally adjusted annualized rate of housing starts fell to 212,624 units from a downwardly revised 272,264 units in October, the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) said.

… A sharp drop in new building starts will further aggravate a housing crisis in Canada and hurt the popularity of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. His Liberal government has made housing its top priority and has announced a series of measures, including a plan to convert federal properties into new homes by March and to identify more public buildings for home conversion.

Hostile states will ‘drive’ migrants to UK and destabilise the West, warns Brit PM

Rishi Sunak has pledged to push for reform of global refugee rules as he warned that failing to tackle illegal migration would “destroy the public’s faith” in politicians and governments.

He also warned that malign states were deliberately “driving people to our shores to try and destabilise our societies.”

Why the ‘historic’ climate summit was just a publicity stunt

John Kerry Ass Faced Hypocrite

At COP-28 in Dubai this week, weary international delegates and environmental activists celebrated a “historic breakthrough” in negotiations to stop global warming. For the first time in 32 years of negotiations, an agreement mentions “transitioning away from fossil fuels.”

“Officials from around the globe suggested the deal is an important step towards ending the use of fossil fuels,” Aljazeera reported. Other news outlets called it a landmark and historic development. America’s climate envoy, John Kerry, said the words send “very strong messages to the world.”

He’s correct, but not for the reason he meant. The message is that expectations for these annual conferences are so low that even the most inescapable aspiration is reason to cheer.
