WARMINGTON: Condoning anti-Semitism will lead to hate spiralling out of control

How far will the world let anti-Semitism spiral out of control?

Protesters storming school board meetings, pushing blood libels on Jews, and even a seeing menorah lighting cancelled – these are dark times.

A corner was turned in Canada on Oct 7.

Islamoleftism revealed itself to be far more malignant and far more widespread than most believed possible.

The most surprsed are the absurdly numerous Kumbaya Kool-Aid drinkers who believed Islamists were instantaneously made non-death culty on contact with our magic Canadian soil.

A reckoning is afoot and I speculate Oct 7 will result in the birth of a tribalized right.

On an individual level I doubt many who hold anti-semitic, sorry anti-Zionist beliefs will have a change of heart and the idiots who insist you can appease the crocodile will always be with us so long as the croc needs them.

What should worry Canadians is the looming shadow of institutionalized anti-white racism and the politicization of our justice system.

Federal NDP is squandering moment to insist on pharmacare plan

Pharmacare, it seems, is doomed. For a while, it appeared that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s minority Liberal government, backed by Jagmeet Singh’s New Democrats, might create a national drug scheme that was both universal and public.

Indeed, creation of a real pharmacare program was the NDP’s price for keeping the Trudeau minority government alive. The party’s rank and file made that clear, most recently at their national convention held in Hamilton in October.

This will be as close as Singh ever gets to real power. He’s going to enjoy the ride and qualify for his pension.

Lawyer for refugee accused of rape and murder of 13 year old says victim was asking for it

Ibrahim Ali’s lawyer says the 13-year-old girl he’s accused of murdering in a British Columbia park wasn’t the “innocent” depicted in a “rose-coloured” portrayal by the Crown at trial.

Kevin McCullough told the B.C. Supreme Court jury in his closing arguments that the version of the girl’s lifestyle presented by the Crown is “at best, a partial picture” or “at worst, a lie.”

He says the Crown’s case rests on the belief it would have been out of character for the teen to have sex with Ali.

German Police Foil Christmas Market Terror Attacks

Jihadist attacks in Hanover and North Rhine-Westphalia were at an advanced stage of planning.

German police have made a string of arrests of Islamist terrorists who were planning attacks on the country’s famed Christmas markets, evoking memories of the December 19, 2016 attack in Berlin, where a truck driver plowed into a crowd of people, causing 12 deaths.

Concerned that the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza Strip might prompt jihadist attacks, German authorities have been on high alert.

Their concern, as it turns out, is valid.

Tasha Kheiriddin: First Nations sue over ‘discriminatory’ carbon tax — will Guilbeault resign?

A month after the federal government exempted home heating oil from its punitive carbon tax, another group is demanding a carve-out — and putting the government in a thorny position.

The Chiefs of Ontario and Attawapiskat First Nation have filed a lawsuit against the federal government over what they allege is “discriminatory and anti-reconciliatory application of the Greenhouse Gas and Pollution Pricing Act (GGPPA)” to First Nations. Their main arguments resemble those advanced by rural communities, notably a lack of options when it comes to fuel for things like transportation or industry.

Europe’s muddled armed forces ‘could be washed away by Russia’

Europe is not prepared for a war with Russia and is in danger of being “washed away” in a conflict, much as the Holy Roman Empire was broken up by Napoleon, Germany’s pre-eminent military historian has warned.

At a high-level defence conference in Berlin, several German generals also suggested that Nato might be unable to win the “first battle” in a defensive war on its eastern flank, because it would struggle to ship sufficient numbers of troops and equipment to the front line quickly enough.

‘The Gospel’: how Israel uses AI to select bombing targets in Gaza

Israel’s military has made no secret of the intensity of its bombardment of the Gaza Strip. In the early days of the offensive, the head of its air force spoke of relentless, “around the clock” airstrikes. His forces, he said, were only striking military targets, but he added: “We are not being surgical.”

There has, however, been relatively little attention paid to the methods used by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to select targets in Gaza, and to the role artificial intelligence has played in their bombing campaign.

The curse of the metrosexual

Stop telling men to be more like women

It’s been 20 years since anthropologists announced the discovery of a new and exciting species of human, emerging from the mists of the urban jungle. This creature was best observed in its natural habitat of New York City: drinking a Grey Goose martini at a chic watering hole, pausing by a window to smooth his perfectly coifed hair, disappearing around a corner on feet clad in stylish moc-toe boots, leaving behind nothing but an unsettling sense of sexual ambiguity and the lingering scent of Axe body spray. What was he? A man, yes, but not just a man. He was an enigma wrapped in a mystery, equal parts fascination and mockery. Behold: the metrosexual.
