Rebooted Queer ‘Green Lantern’ Comic Flops Hard as Writers Calls Comics Fans ‘Haters and Queerphobes’

Last month, comic book writer Tim Sheridan jumped to his social media to urge his fans to go out en masse and buy his re-boot of the Green Lantern story which features pages of gay sex between the title character and his boyfriend. But it looks like the scribe’s efforts fell on deaf ears as his Alan Scott, Green Lantern No. 1 has landed with a thud with few sales.

Israel wants to obliterate Gaza to deter Iran, Hezbollah, says Dutch memo

Israel is deliberately using “disproportionate force” in Gaza and targeting “civilian infrastructure” in an effort to limit its own losses and showcase its “military force,” according to a confidential memo from the Dutch Embassy in Tel Aviv.

The memo, drafted by the Dutch defense attaché in the embassy and seen by Dutch outlet NRC, analyzes Israel’s military strategy in Gaza, where Israeli forces have been launching retaliatory airstrikes for over a month straight and conducting a ground invasion, killing more than 11,000 people according to the Hamas-controlled health ministry in Gaza.

Sound strategy IMO.

Google will remove a route to one of South Africa’s most violent townships from its navigation system after a string of tourists were directed into danger.

A spate of incidents in Nyanga, which is only a few minutes’ drive from Cape Town’s international airport, prompted the technology giant to tweak Google Maps, its South Africa director said.

Why Erdoğan Wants a UN Seat for Muslims

The world’s “strategic eyes” should have looked closer at Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech in September at the UN General Assembly. It was another warning to the West about his intended Islamist design for the entire world — not that he can accomplish this ambition, but what he aims for comes in with several red flags with it.

In his speech, greeted as a brave international challenge by the Turkish media (90% of which he controls), he called on the international community to collectively fight what he thinks is the greatest malady of mankind: Islamophobia. He wants, he said, to revolutionize the post-World War II international political order by giving Muslim nations a permanent seat on the UN Security Council. “The world is bigger than five” has been his dictum over the past several years. He wants Muslim nations, preferably Turkey, to have a veto power, via the UN, over a new world order.

A Canada Border Service Agency employee opened himself up to the threat of exploitation by “hostile intelligence services” after visiting massage parlours in China, Japan and Canada, documents obtained by CBC News reveal.

The case is just one of more than 500 allegations the CBSA deemed “founded” last year and released as part of an access to information request.

Really? No one cared when Jack Layton was found in at the Velvet Touch. Not even Yoko.

Jewish-owned businesses in Montreal targeted with antisemitic profanity

Jewish-owned businesses in Montreal are being targeted and vandalized with antisemitic material, with the owners too scared to speak out publicly or complain to the police, the Montreal Gazette has learned.

Lists of such businesses are being circulated on social media, mostly on TikTok, urging people to boycott restaurants and other establishments that are owned by Jews or that are deemed to be supportive of the Israeli government in its war against Hamas in Gaza. But protesters are not simply boycotting businesses; some are visiting them and vandalizing company property.

Infant Son of J6 Defendant Placed on Quiet Skies Suspected Terrorist Watchlist

As explained in an Oct. 12 column from UncoverDC, the Quiet Skies program is being weaponized against J6ers—like 20-plus-year military veteran Bryan Smith, who peacefully attended the Jan. 6 protest to contest the 2020 General Election. Quiet Skies is an undisclosed TSA program that “targets travelers who are not under investigation by any agency and are not in the Terrorist Screening Data Base,” according to Smith. Like Smith, all three travelers, including Fischer’s infant, were assigned the dreaded “SSSS” designation stamped below on the bottom right of his boarding pass because he was traveling with his father. Fischer is also a veteran, having served in the Air Force between 2013 and 2017.
