The Israel-Hamas war has divided Canadians. Why can’t our politicians unite us?

When Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly sat down with the Star’s editorial board a couple of weeks ago, she described the rising Middle East tension this way: “Of all the geopolitical crises, this is one that is the most emotionally difficult for all.”

That reality was also discussed a couple of weeks ago when Justin Trudeau sat down privately with New Democrat Leader Jagmeet Singh, Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet and Conservative foreign affairs critic Michael Chong, along with their aides.

Because they imported the problem and now are helpless to stop it.

ABC, CBS, and NBC Elevate Gaza Video from KNOWN Propaganda Influencer

If you’re on X (formerly known as Twitter) and follow the Israel-Hamas War, you’re likely aware of the man we’re about to speak of. Saleh Aljafarawi, dubbed “Mr. FAFO” and “Mr. Pallywood,” is a KNOWN Hamas-linked social media influencer and crisis actor. But those easily researchable facts were of no interest to ABC’s World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News on Friday as they all, much like MSNBC did, treated his content as though it was a legitimate source of news from Gaza.

Why do people hate Israel?

How did this tiny country go from a beacon of democracy in the Middle East to being so utterly reviled – especially by young progressives?

Last Saturday, I met a man named Faisal Salama at a pro-Palestinian rally in Vancouver. Mr. Salama, 30, had just moved to the city. He is Palestinian – born in Kuwait, raised in Edmonton – and still has family in Gaza, including an aunt and first cousins, now displaced from the north as Israeli bombs rain down. His family was relocated to Gaza in 1948 when they lost their home in Ashdod, a city on the Mediterranean coast. Mr. Salama’s father, who was 7 at the time, still lives in Kuwait as a stateless refugee.

My heart was breaking, listening to his story. It was also pounding.

Fact check: AI fakes in Israel’s war against Hamas

AI is everywhere these days — even in wars. Artificial intelligence applications have greatly improved this year, and almost anyone can now use standard AI generators to create images that look real, at least at first glance.

Users must “feed” tools such as Midjourney or Dall-E with prompts, including specifications and information, to do this. The tools then convert the written prompts into images.

David Rosenberg: Canada can’t count to a million — and it’s skewing the data policymakers need

A thoughtful approach to immigration has been a historical strength of Canadian economic policy. The recent post-COVID-19 immigration surge has created a number of well-known challenges, however, as slow-moving housing markets and social services systems adjust to the sudden rise in the country’s population.

But another, seemingly more basic, problem has arisen for policymakers and analysts alike: Canada’s population has become increasingly difficult to count, and the balance of evidence points toward an undercount of one million temporary residents in the country’s main employment survey. This has eroded the reliability of a host of market-relevant variables involving population counts, from employment figures to housing construction to productivity.

Pope Francis fires Texan bishop after criticism of reforms

Pope Francis has fired the Texan bishop Joseph Strickland, a fierce critic who has questioned the Pope’s leadership of the Catholic church.

The Vatican said the bishop would be “relieved” of his duties as a result of investigations at his Diocese of Tyler.

Bishop Strickland is a leading voice in a branch of US Catholicism that is opposed to the Pope’s reforms.

His removal comes after Francis spoke of the “backwardness” of some US Catholic church leaders.

‘Far worse than you can imagine’: How Iran’s regime has ‘spread its tentacles’ in Canada

Hamed Esmaeilion has to watch his back wherever he goes — unable to escape the oppressive and violent regime that rules his homeland of Iran, even when he’s in Canada.

When he first arrived in 2010 with his wife Parisa and daughter Reera, Esmaeilion thought he had come to the safest country in the world.

“But it’s not,” he says.

Gee, I was writing about this stuff away back in 2013 and broke some interesting stories on the Jaffari centre … But I was an Islamophobic H8tr back then of course.

Jason Kenney Visits Iran’s Outpost In Canada

I find it hard to believe that Kenney could not have been aware of the Jaffari Centre’s direct links to Iran’s Khomeinist regime. The Jaffari Centre is run by the ISIJ, The Islamic Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat. The ISIJ Maulana, Seyed Mohammad Rizvi, is one the founders of the Ahlul Bayt Assembly of Canada. The Ahlul Bayt Assembly takes it’s orders directly from Tehran, as detailed in this Memri.org report, its purpose is to spread Khomeinist propaganda in Canada.

The ISIJ has been directly linked to multiple acts of Jew Hate in Toronto: Al Quds Day, CASMO’s David Duke video’s, The East End Madrassah Nazi curriculum, etc etc etc…

In fairness to Kenney he says he was not aware of the Jaffari groups unseemly history and stated they were suggested by a Jewish group as being worth a visit.

‘I felt very, very unsafe’: Top Conservative says senators, MPs ‘under attack’ by pro-Palestinian protesters in Ottawa

Pro-Palestinian protesters harassed and attacked MPs and senators as they gathered for a meeting near Parliament Hill this week, the Conservative Party leader in the Senate says.

Senator Don Plett says he was stopped and harassed by “probably 30 or 40” protesters as he drove into a building for the meeting. They blocked traffic and insisted drivers take pamphlets, and targeted him as he attempted to drive around them.

Nashville’s Diversity-Obsessed Black Police Chief Hid Trans Shooter’s Anti-White Manifesto

A deranged trans shooter killed six in a horrific massacre at a Nashville Christian school back in April. The deceased shooter, Audrey “Aiden” Hale, left behind a manifesto. Nashville Police refused to share it with the public. We learned this week why.

In screenshots obtained by Steven Crowder, Hale vented her murderous rage towards whites, whom she referred to as privileged “crackers.” Despite being white herself, the shooter wanted to kill those like her. This rhetoric isn’t found in the dark corners of 4chan. Anti-white hate is part of school curricula throughout the country. It’s broadcast by television channels and popular films. And it goes viral on social media. The demented shooter was merely repeating what she learned from the society around her.
