Ministers urged to stop UK Islamists forcing Muslim women – including schoolgirls – to wear headscarves as MP says it is ‘grossly insensitive’ while women in Iran and elsewhere fight for freedom to dress how they want

The Government needs to take a stronger stance in preventing the imposition of dress codes on Muslim women, a think tank has said.

A new report by Policy Exchange discusses how Islamist groups have ‘weaponised’ discussions surrounding religious clothing in the UK and beyond, potentially limiting the freedom of choice for Muslim women.

The think tank emphasised how public fear of Islamophobia can lead to conservative groups stifling open debate about religious attire in the UK, even though women in many Islamic countries are protesting against the hijab’s imposition as an oppressive garment.

Can you imagine a similar staement made by a Canadian MP or organization?

Mayor Olivia Chow hopes for ‘big building boom’ in Toronto after Doug Ford’s Greenbelt reversal

With Ontario’s Greenbelt once again off limits to developers, Toronto is ready to welcome denser, taller housing and help solve the affordability crisis that has forced people to flee the city, Mayor Olivia Chow said Friday.

Chow’s comments, after speaking to the Toronto Region Board of Trade, came a day after Premier Doug Ford scrapped a push to pave swaths of protected farmland that had mired his government in scandal over how the sites were selected.

I got a feeling there’s gonna be a spurt of neighborhood destroying shoddy rental towers going up.

Ukraine missile strikes hit Black Sea Fleet HQ in Crimea

A Storm Shadow missile struck one of its highest profile targets yet, punching a huge hole in a navy headquarters in the key Crimean port city of Sevastopol.

Footage showed a large plume of smoke over the smouldering building in Sevastopol, after the audacious attack on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet nerve centre.

“The enemy launched a missile attack on the headquarters of the fleet,” confirmed Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-appointed governor of Sevastopol.

RCMP’s most famous outpost, at Roxham Road, will be demolished

It is the RCMP’s most famous outpost, where Canadians and the world have grown used to seeing migrants crossing into the country on foot for protection.

For years, the images of desperate asylum seekers with luggage — and children — in tow walking into Canada and being greeted by uniformed officers have been plastered on front pages of newspapers here and abroad.

The climate scaremongers: Shoddy dams to blame for Libyan floods, not global warming

I SOMETIMES think there is a competition among the MSM to see who can publish the most absurd climate change stories.

Last week Sky News’s Tom Clarke, who calls himself ‘Science and Technology Editor’, claimed that climate change had ‘set the stage’ for the Libyan floods, and that the disaster highlighted the ‘injustice of climate change’ which affects poorer countries most.

Transgender women still running and winning as females six months since ban

Transgender women are being allowed to run – and win – in the female category of races almost six months after they were banned from doing so, a Telegraph Sport investigation has found.

Rules brought in to prevent those who have been through male puberty from competing in women’s athletics are facing a major backlash amid serious concerns about the effectiveness, and enforcement, of them.

‘Devastating’ cost of EV industry takes center stage in two news stories this week

Toxic plumes and neon orange bodies of water are quite an ironic legacy for “clean” and “green” energy—how anyone can miss a paradox that in-your-face is beyond me (but that’s beside the point).

Two stories out this week highlighted the growing concern over the “reckless” transition to the globalists’ vision of the energy industry: the first questioned whether or not public services were “equipped” to handle the unique “challenges and risks” posed when electric vehicle batteries catch fire, while the second covered a brand-new study published yesterday by Science Magazine, one of the world’s most prestigious, longstanding, and recognized academic journals (it first entered circulation almost 150 years ago).

I’ve been cancelled for standing up to racial identity politics

It was going to happen at some point. You can’t be director of a grassroots campaign like Don’t Divide Us (DDU), committed to a liberal, democratic approach to race issues, without expecting some blowback. But to be cancelled three days before I was due to speak at the Rethinking Education conference, I have to admit, came as an unwelcome surprise.

Teenager who died fighting for life support is named

The parents of a woman who died after doctors refused to allow her to travel abroad for treatment have overturned a court order so she can be named.

Sudiksha Thirumalesh was 19 when she died a few days ago at an NHS hospital.

At the end of last month, a High Court judge ruled that despite being conscious and speaking to her parents and doctors, Thirumalesh lacked sufficient mental capacity to challenge the medics’ view as to whether life-sustaining treatment should be withdrawn.

I am acquainted with the forlorn hope of clinical trials.

Banned Video: Muslims Desecrate the Cross of Christ

Back in 2015, I watched a one-minute video of Muslims connected to the Islamic State (“ISIS”) breaking crosses inside and from atop churches. Because the video had for some days been going viral on Arabic social media, I, in an effort to bring Westerners up to speed with Muslims—to show them the same things Muslims around the world were watching—uploaded it onto YouTube.

Wisconsin Forces Female Inmates To Live With Man Who Raped His 10-Year-Old Daughter

Mark Campbell is a registered sex offender convicted of first-degree sexual assault for raping his 10-year-old daughter, but thanks to the state of Wisconsin, he is now housed in a women’s prison in Fond du Lac.

Despite his biology and the heightened threat he poses to women based on the nature of his crime, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections allowed him to be categorized as “FEMALE,” and subsequently to be incarcerated with female inmates at Taycheedah Correctional Institution since August of 2022.

Toronto man frustrated after CITY nixes home EV charging plans

A Toronto man hoping to make the switch to an electric vehicle was left frustrated after consulting and working with the city for more than a year and a half, only to have his request to build a parking pad to support a charging station denied.

Mark Bishop said he’s been wanting to do his part to be more climate-friendly and is actively shopping to trade in his gas guzzler for an electric vehicle.

They don’t want you to own any kind of vehicle.
