Carney on ‘Kudlow’: A UAW Strike Will Be Biden’s Fault Because His Policies Have Destroyed Autoworkers’ Wages

” … Kudlow observed that the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) is a major factor in the negotiations because “a lot less labor is necessary” to make an EV than a traditional gas-powered vehicle. Kudlow cited a claim made by Kevin Hassett, the former chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers in the Trump administration, that the auto industry could lose as many as 500,000 jobs due to the EV transition.”

The Elephant in the room, fewer workers earning lower wages, no wonder FORD is going full Electric.

Trudeau government’s latest scam to sell Canadian passports ripe for abuse says Star

This program aims to attract startups to Canada. Critics say it’s being used as ‘a backdoor way into the country’

They come from every corner of the world with big dreams and ideas, looking for a base and investment capital to plant the seeds of their startup enterprises — and potential permanent residence in Canada.

So much is at stake for their success — and for Canada’s Start-Up Visa (SUV) immigration program, which gives these entrepreneurs a pathway for permanent residence by harnessing their business innovations and brilliance.

NASA releases UFO report, says new science techniques needed to better understand them

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — NASA said Thursday that the study of UFOs will require new scientific techniques, including advanced satellites as well as a shift in how unidentified flying objects are perceived.

The space agency released the findings after a yearlong study into UFOs.

In its 33-page report, an independent team commissioned by NASA cautioned that the negative perception surrounding UFOs poses an obstacle to collecting data. But officials said NASA’s involvement should help reduce the stigma around what it calls UAPs, or unidentified anomalous phenomena.

NASA Director – “No evidence that UAP’s are  extraterrestrial but we don’t know what UAP’s are.”

All Canada’s Problems Solved: Junior to attend Big Woke Convention in Montreal

Global progressive leaders join Trudeau at Montreal summit to discuss threats to democracy, human rights

Tony Blair and British Labour Party Leader Keir Starmer are among a group of global figures set to attend a summit with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Montreal this weekend, in what is being seen as a show of strength of the centre left.

Among the issues to be discussed at the 2023 Global Progress Action Summit, which will also be attended by former prime ministers Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand, Sanna Marin of Finland and Magdalena Andersson of Sweden, are the rise of the right around the world and threats to democracy and human rights, including women’s rights.

Media Bites Biden

‘Every’ Democrat agrees Biden is ‘too old to run’ for re-election: MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough

“Every” Democrat MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough has spoken to privately says President Joe Biden is too old to run for re-election, the “Morning Joe” host said Wednesday.

Scarborough made the revelation during a discussion with Washington Post foreign affairs columnist David Ignatius about his recent editorial calling on the 80-year-old president to not run in 2024 — an opinion also shared by three-quarters of Americans and two-thirds of left-wing voters.

President Biden should not run again in 2024

… Biden would carry two big liabilities into a 2024 campaign. He would be 82 when he began a second term. According to a recent Associated Press-NORC poll, 77 percent of the public, including 69 percent of Democrats, think he’s too old to be effective for four more years. Biden’s age isn’t just a Fox News trope; it’s been the subject of dinner-table conversations across America this summer.

Reporter calls out Biden’s frequent misstatements at White House briefing: ‘What is going on with the president?’

White House National Security Council John Kirby dodged a question about President Biden’s frequent factual embellishments after the commander-in-chief falsely claimed this week to have been at Ground Zero the day after the 9/11 attacks.

“The president has lied about being at Ground Zero the day after the Sept. 11 attacks, falsely claimed he saw the Pittsburgh bridge collapse, claimed his grandfather died in the hospital days before his birth. What is going on with the president? Is he just believing things that didn’t happen did happen, or is he just randomly making stuff up?” Washington Times reporter Jeff Mordock pointedly asked Kirby in a jaw-dropping moment during Wednesday’s White House press briefing.

On The Bright Side More Dead Canadians Good For The Environment

The average life expectancy for Canadians decreased, and 4 other takeaways from a just-released health report

The data collected mid-way through the pandemic shows the impact of COVID-19, especially when it comes to how long Canadians are living.

The life expectancy for Canadians, which was at a steady incline since the 1980s, began to decline in 2020 and again in 2021, as a direct result of staggering death rates related to COVID-19, as well as substance-related harms that increased during the pandemic. In 2021, the life expectancy at birth dropped to 81.6 from 81.7 in 2020.

Rogue Russian pilot tried to shoot down RAF aircraft in 2022

A Russian pilot tried to shoot down an RAF surveillance plane after believing he had permission to fire, the BBC has learned.

The pilot fired two missiles, the first of which missed rather than malfunctioned as claimed at the time.

Russia had claimed the incident last September was caused by a “technical malfunction”.

The UK’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) publicly accepted the Russian explanation.

David Krayden: Trial of Tamara Lich and Chris Barber Makes Our Country Look Authoritarian

I’ve started calling it the Freedom Trial. Yes, it’s the much-anticipated trial of Freedom Convoy leaders Tamara Lich and Chris Barber. Both are on trial for a myriad of absurd charges: mischief, counselling others to commit mischief, intimidation, and obstructing police. These are the sort of legal entanglement usually reserved for people who get drunk and begin acting up in a most uncivil manner.

San Fran store sues over deteriorating conditions

Out in San Francisco, things have not been going well at the massive Westfield Mall, to put it mildly. As with most of the rest of the city – and all of California’s larger cities, really – conditions have become untenable for most retailers. Rampant retail theft and filthy conditions have made the mall far less safe and have driven away potential shoppers, causing sales to sag. One of the few larger stores that haven’t thrown in the towel yet is American Eagle Outfitters, the iconic clothing shop.

Terry Glavin: Chong lauded by U.S. lawmakers while a scolded Trudeau has wings clipped

It made for quite the study in contrasts.

Conservative MP Michael Chong was applauded by a bipartisan committee of U.S. lawmakers in Washington, D.C., this week for standing up for China’s persecuted Uyghurs and for shining a light on Beijing’s concerted strategy of harassment, intimidation, influence-peddling and political interference in Canada.

Canada needs 3.45 million more homes by 2030 to cut housing costs as population grows, CMHC predicts

… The 3.45 million new units across the country would be in addition to the 1.68 million that are expected to be built by 2030 if the pace of construction remains the same. That would amount to a total of 5.2-million new housing units and comes as the federal government has faced increased criticism for ramping up immigration targets without an apparent consideration for housing needs.

That ain’t gonna happen.

Canada still needs another 3.5 million housing units by 2030 on top of what it’s on track to build by that point, a new report says.

But an economist for the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. (CMHC), which authored the report, says this goal may not even be attainable.

Canada’s Immigration Boom May Be Ending, Permanent Resident Applications Plummet

Canada’s recent population boom seems like it’ll last forever, but reality may arrive soon. Government of Canada (GoC) data reveals a sharp drop in permanent resident applications in July. The direct impact on population growth is minor, since temporary residents drive growth. However, continuing to attract temporary residents will be difficult once they encounter the conditions turning people away.

There has been an ongoing years long decline in the number of permanent resident applicants. Trudeau’s incompetence is turning Canada into a shithole state.
