Inexpensive Add-on Spawns a New Era of Machine Guns

Popular devices known as “switches” are turning ordinary pistols into fully automatic weapons, making them deadlier and a growing threat to bystanders.

Caison Robinson, 14, had just met up with a younger neighbor on their quiet street after finishing his chores when a gunman in a white car rolled up and fired a torrent of bullets in an instant.

“Mom, I’ve been shot!” he recalled crying, as his mother bolted barefoot out of their house in northwest Las Vegas. “I didn’t think I was going to make it, for how much blood was under me,” Caison said.

The Las Vegas police say the shooting in May was carried out with a pistol rigged with a small and illegal device known as a switch. Switches can transform semiautomatic handguns, which typically require a trigger pull for each shot, into fully automatic machine guns that fire dozens of bullets with one tug.

Alfred Kinsey: The Father of Modern Deviancy

For revolutionaries, there can be no joy without continually transgressing boundaries, so of course sexual revolutionaries had to come for the children.

Readers of a certain age will remember the famous poets of the 1950s “Beat Generation,” such as Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg, author of the poem “Howl,” once (perhaps still?) a staple on American Literature courses.

More associated with the university scene than the others, Ginsberg was in the forefront of the 1960s counter-cultural revolution, which culminated in the hijacking by the intelligentsia of public discourse on cultural issues. This was the movement that inspired Senator Daniel Moynihan’s famous phrase, “defining deviancy down,” to describe the process in which we change the meaning of morality to fit what we are drawn to do and intend to do anyway.

Show me the money: Canada Bread penalty raises questions about criminal fines

Canada Bread Company agreed to pay a $50 million fine on June 21 after pleading guilty to fixing the price of bread sold in grocery stores.

This fine is the highest ever imposed for a cartel offence in Canada — more than seven times higher than the previous record.

It is also the second-highest fine imposed on a corporation. Only the $280 million fine SNC-Lavalin agreed to pay as part of a 2019 plea deal settling foreign corruption and fraud charges was larger.

Fake meat: As Beyond Meat sales fall, have we had our fill?

When it comes to fake meat Tom Crawford-Clarke has “eaten everything available over the years”. But he has fallen out of love with it now.

“We generally favoured Quorn products, Linda McCartney things, Beyond Burgers, Moving Mountains. I always thought they were relatively tasty,” he said.

Fake meat is plant-based protein made to resemble burgers or sausages and often marketed as a healthier alternative to the real thing.

Biden Administration Abandoning Israel for Ruling Mullahs of Iran?

The Biden administration’s appeasement policies towards the ruling mullahs of Iran are empowering their Islamist and radical regime in the region, all while undermining America’s democratic ally in the Middle East, Israel.

As the Iranian regime continues to sponsor, fund and arm terror groups on the borders of Israel, the Biden Administration is carefully looking the other way.

According to Brig. Gen. (res.) Amir Avivi, a former deputy commander of the Israel Defense Forces’ Gaza Division, “For the last year and a half, Iran stated clearly that its main strategy is to make the Samaria region another Gaza.” The Iranians, he added, are “pouring money and smuggling weapons into the region. They are supporting Hamas and the PIJ [Palestinian Islamic Jihad] and other factions within the Palestinian Authority.”

Homeless people allegedly being shipped to London, Ont. draws ire of deputy mayor

The deputy mayor of London, Ont., is alleging that dozens of those living on the streets are being shipped to the city, many of them under false pretenses, and is urging for an end to the practice.

In a letter to his city colleagues, Shawn Lewis highlighted municipal data that shows 319 people arriving from outside the city in the first half of 2023 seeking homelessness support services have been sent back to communities “where they have a natural support network.”

I don’t understand why he doesn’t name the organizations behind this.

Ont. mayor can’t afford to buy house in township she leads

Waterloo Region’s red-hot housing market hits close to home for Wilmot Township Mayor Natasha Salonen.

Despite earning around $90,000 a year between her work as mayor, regional councillor and with the local electric utility, she says she can’t afford to buy a home in the municipality she leads.

“I do live at home with my parents,” Salonen says. “Living in this region is really not attainable for a young professional who has university debt and I know I’m certainly not alone in that.”

Can’t help but notice that only when the homeless/housing crisis and the CRT/DEI tyranny began to affect “nice people” did they become pressing public issues.

In keeping with standard practice however Junior’s “separation” brought lectures from the MSM scolds demanding we show that snivelling pimp respect.

Only in this past year or so did articles appear in our media declaring it “not racist” to discuss immigration policy.

I can’t help but suspect that things are far worse than is known and we proles are being allowed to let off steam.

Even the NAZIS understood that it was not wise to stomp on everyone who made a Goering joke.

Ottawa Police Still Withholding Court Documents In Detective Grus Case – Here Are Those We Have

Ottawa Police Detective Helen Grus is charged under the Police Services Act with ‘Discreditable Conduct’ for allegedly conducting “unauthorized” investigations into nine Sudden Infant Deaths where she sought to know the vaccine status of the mothers in January 2022.

Although Ottawa Police recently released some of the legal documents filed in the case, the organization is still refusing to release motions and decisions since April 26, 2023.

As previously reported here, the Ottawa Police for many months concealed the judge’s decisions and lawyers’ motions – even going so far as to deceitfully inform the public and the press in April that the judge had not made a decision about a December 29, 2022 Disclosure Motion – when the truth was the judge delivered his decision on January 31, 2023.

Barack Obama told ex, ‘I make love to men daily, but in my imagination,’ letter shows

Former President Barack Obama wrote of his own “androgynous” mind and “mak[ing] love to men daily, but in my imagination,” according to the redacted portion of a now-notorious 1982 letter, obtained by The Post.

The more than 40-year-old letter to an ex-girlfriend recently resurfaced after Obama biographer David Garrow gave a long and winding interview on the one-time commander-in-chief.
