Will Trudeau’s cabinet shuffle drop dead wood for fresh faces?

Depending on your viewpoint, the Trudeau government cabinet shuffle this Wednesday will either be a refresh for the government or the political equivalent of shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic. Either way, it will be a different set of ministers and different set of portfolios by lunchtime Wednesday.

They’re all deadwood and this smells of crushing dissent in the ranks. I suspect Junior has entered his Captain Queeg phase.

Should Canada conduct a national COVID response inquiry? The BMJ thinks so

Does Canada need a national inquiry into its COVID-19 response?

The prestigious BMJ (British Medical Journal) thinks so, and makes five key arguments in favour of a large-scale review: one, that failing to look at the past will ensure an unchanged future; two, that a lack of independent inquiry allows others to fill the void, citing the National Citizens’ Inquiry, a ridiculous exercise mounted by anti-vaccine and anti-lockdown dogmatists; thirdly, it would help deliver on Canada’s ambition to be a global leader; fourth, it could provide an “actionable framework” for reforming Canada’s health care system; and finally, that a public inquiry would provide accountability for the horrible losses the country suffered, including more than 50,000 COVID-19 deaths.

Why bother? The bastards would only lie to us anyway.

Hunter Biden Business Partner’s Testimony Tightens Joe’s Burisma Noose

The younger Biden reportedly put Burisma executives in touch with his father, who was then vice president.

At a critical moment when executives of the corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma were pressuring board members Hunter Biden and Devon Archer to do more to block the Ukrainian government’s prosecution of company founder Mykola “Nikolai” Zlochevsky, Archer says that Hunter Biden put Zlochevsky and another company executive directly in touch with then-vice president Joe Biden on a speakerphone call from overseas.

Welcome to England, your all-inclusive cabin awaits

UK Migrant Barge

WE have seen a proliferation of hotels across the UK. Some belong to large chains whilst others are owned and operated by smaller operations. Catering for all tastes from city breaks to rural retreats, there is something to suit all budgets.

Into the sector a new competitor has entered, hoping to win a slice of the profitable hospitality pie.

Taking a nautical inspiration, the company behind the initiative, HMG, have launched their first floating hotel – or, as they like to call it, a floatel.

The Lancet provides a rare opportunity to see obvious climate data manipulation

Many years ago, I was at a San Francisco Bay Area science exhibit with the kids. One wall was covered with a single wall-sized bar chart showing how much the San Francisco Bay would rise in the future thanks to climate change. Panicked parents around me were warning their children about this deathly future. I was the only one who noticed that the chart was a huge blow-up of an image originally done on a scale using millimeters. If you dig deep, a lot of “climate science” plays those games—and today, it’s The Lancet that created a chart that plays games with the scale.

Slavery in the 21st Century Falls on Deaf Ears of the Left

Actor Jim Caviezel’s latest film Sound of Freedom opened in select theaters on July 4 across the Nation. Caviezel, most famous for his role of Jesus in The Passion of the Christ, portrays a true story that exposes the evil of child trafficking.

The film is not without merit as Caviezel worked with some 30 Navy SEALS and former federal agents while filming in Colombia. No matter, as the Left has become the deniers of such heinous acts happening in America by immediately labeling it as “right-wing” worldview with a sense of moral panic and even calling it “QAnon-adjacent rhetoric.” True Americans who do not feed at the trough of the networks for their news, are unfazed by the Left’s attack on Sound of Freedom, which is on track to surpass $100 million in revenue.

The America Report: Democrats and Moral Depravity

There was a time when the political Left in America was patriotic, morally decent, and as supportive of church and traditional families as Republicans are.

Those days are long gone. Today’s American Left has lost sight of the path of decency. Their political agenda of today is the ethical antithesis of what a civilized society is built from. They have completely compromised their ethical instincts.

Biden Regime Defense Department Gives Special Perks to Soldiers Who Are Mentally Ill

Encouraging trans madness in the ranks — yeah, that’ll beat China.

The Biden regime is so sold out to the prevailing social contagion that has men thinking they can become women and women likewise deluded into believing they can become men that it is offering special treatment and outrageous perks to military service members who “identify as transgender.” If you’re wondering what this kind of social engineering has to do with winning wars, the answer is precisely nothing. The United States military hasn’t won a war since 1945, and it certainly isn’t going to start winning any now. Its mission is something else altogether.

The revenge of Britain’s motorists

The war on cars is carving up cities

In 1934, the developer of a new private housing estate in East Oxford built two large brick walls across public roads to keep out the working-class residents of nearby local authority housing. Nine foot high and topped with iron spikes, the Cutteslowe Walls, as they became known, were an obscenity that stood for more than 20 years, despite repeated attempts to knock them down. They even survived being ploughed into by a tank on military manoeuvres during the war. It wasn’t until the late Fifties that officialdom finally found a way to have the Walls removed.

China secretly sends enough gear to Russia to equip an army

Shipments of military-capable hardware expose a China-sized loophole in Western sanctions.

The pictures posted on the Chinese company’s website show a tall, Caucasian man with a crew cut and flattened nose inspecting body armor at its factory.

“This spring, one of our customers came to our company to confirm the style and quantity of bulletproof vests, and carefully tested the quality of our vests,” Shanghai H Win, a manufacturer of military-grade protective gear, proudly reported on its website in March. The customer “immediately directly confirmed the order quantity of bulletproof vests and subsequent purchase intention.”

Tamara Lich Defence: Crown Agrees to Provide Evidence, Witness List Prior to Criminal Trial

The charity organizing Tamara Lich’s criminal defence has won the first round, albeit a procedural one, in the ongoing charges Mrs. Lich faces for her participation in the Freedom Convoy protests in 2022.

The lawyer representing Mrs. Lich on various mischief-related charges was in the Ontario Court of Justice to obtain evidence and a witness list the Crown prosecutors intend to present at her three-week trial, scheduled to begin on Ottawa on Sept. 5. The trial was originally scheduled to run for four weeks, but that was dependent on the number of witnesses.
