The Ukrainian honeytrappers persuading Russian soldiers to reveal all

She devotes two hours each day to flirting with a man she hates, hoping it will hasten his demise. In return, he sends his musings on women’s underwear, videos of him interrogating her captured countrymen and pictures of their corpses.

Occasionally though, Angelina — not her real name — receives something more useful. A photo of a military passport, revealing clues about a unit. A video of an amorous soldier driving and singing, giving away his location. Or shocked appeals for sympathy after the death of a comrade, demonstrating an accurate Ukrainian strike.

The Conservative case for revolution

Chris Rufo wants the Right to build a Trojan horse

Aeschylus’s tragedy Agamemnon begins with the fall of Troy. Clytemnestra, wife of the Greek king, hears news of victory, and imagines the “clash of cries” in the captured city, as the victors and the vanquished mingle. Musing on the destruction, exhaustion and still-fresh memory of violence, she hopes the occupying soldiers will withhold from looting the vanquished and angering their gods: “O, let there be no fresh wrong done!”

The Islamization of North Dakota

The Islamic attack out of Fargo shows the impact of refugee settlement.

Three blocks from where Mohamad Barakat opened fire on police officers and firefighters, the Islamic Society of Fargo-Moorhead squats across from a school bus company. Nearby are other elements of the new enclave like the Somali Community Development group which offers English and citizenship classes and the Al Hamdi Restaurant from whose vicinity an eyewitness reported hearing the shots that took the life of one police officer and wounded two others.

Nice: the tragedy the world forgot

Robert McLiam Wilson on the Islamist atrocities that are still haunting France.

Last week, the seventh anniversary of the 2016 Nice attack passed with very little notice outside of France. When Tunisian-born Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel deliberately drove a 19-tonne truck into a crowd of Bastille Day revellers, he murdered 86 people, including 15 children. This was one of the deadliest terror attacks on European soil in the 21st century. And yet, like many similar Islamist atrocities, it seems to have been largely forgotten about.

It Is Completely Reasonable To Wonder If Oppenheimer Was A Soviet Spy

J.Robert Oppenheimer, “the father of the atomic bomb,” has long been a darling of the left, and not because he oversaw the creation of the most devastating weapon ever used. No, for them Oppenheimer is the tortured conscience of the Cold War and the martyred saint of McCarthyism.

Reviews of the movie are good, though as noted above the evidence of Oppenheimer’s spy activity is glossed over in typical Hollywood leftist fashion.

Electric vehicle mandates are an assault on the middle class

We may soon regret the radical and absolutist embrace of electric vehicles (EVs). Governments across the world are planning to ban sales of new petrol and diesel cars, and to take older, gas-guzzling vehicles off the road. The Biden administration is proposing strict new pollution limits, as well as vast state subsidies, to accelerate the United States’ transition to EVs.

‘Democrat’ Hunter Biden whistleblower Joseph Ziegler comes forward

WASHINGTON — IRS agent Joseph Ziegler stepped forward Wednesday as the second whistleblower alleging a coverup in the criminal investigation of President Biden’s son Hunter — calling himself a Democrat who wanted “to do what is right.”

Ziegler worked on the investigation since it opened in 2018 and was joined by his supervisory agent Gary Shapley, who oversaw the probe since January 2020, at a House Oversight Committee hearing.

Philip Cross: The Wall Street Journal asks a good question — does Canada belong in the G7?

A recent Wall Street Journal editorial suggested Canada should sit at the kiddies table in the NATO alliance instead of with the adults. This is because as a share of GDP our defence spending is seventh lowest among NATO’s 31 member nations. It’s also lowest among the G7, which prompted the Journal to question whether we are still willing to accept our responsibilities as a member of the G7. It concluded that if this country “doesn’t want to play that role, then the G-7 should consider a replacement.”

Trudeau is a little prick.

US Muslim parents blast Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau and say he is ‘lying or misinformed’ after blaming American media for opposition to woke gender and LGBTQ education in schools

Muslim parents in Maryland ripped Justin Trudeau saying much of the fear over LGBTQ themes in schools was fueled by American right-wing extremists, with one mother saying Trudeau effectively called her a bigot.

Last week, Trudeau spoke to parents at a mosque in Calgary after hundreds of Muslim parents gathered in Ottawa on June 9 and 13 to protest against LGBTQ education in schools.

Trudeau told the Calgary crowd that ‘people on social media, particularly fueled by the American right wing’ were stirring up the protests and said they were pursuing their own interests.

I for one would welcome a fatwa against Trudeau.

The Liberal-Left is pulling its hair out.

When giants fall: the collapse of wind energy

If the Statue of Liberty were to keel over this morning, odds are someone would notice. There’d be chunks of car-sized debris dotted with confused seagulls, squawking at the mess. The grim scene might find itself in silhouette, bracing a sea of flickering light created by thousands of Instagramming tourists. Now consider this accident replayed with a couple of hundred-metre machetes spinning at high-speed. RIP seagulls and tourists.

This is a situation faced by those living around wind farms when something goes catastrophically wrong with the steel and concrete monsters lurking in their paddocks. Inevitably, as the sheer volume of wind turbines increases, so too does the incidence of mechanical faults. The industry is experiencing a worrying spike in accidents where these structures buckle and collapse, often without warning.

Whether You Like It Or Not

Guided by activists and flimsy legal reasoning, school districts are asserting a right to conceal children’s gender transitions from parents.

More than 3 million American children attend public school in districts that require employees to hide students’ gender transitions from their parents. The revelation of how widespread secrecy polices are comes thanks to a list compiled by the parental-rights advocacy organization Parents Defending Education. While the prevalence of these policies is alarming in itself, the philosophy underlying them is what parents should be most concerned about.

Dean of Canterbury defends appointment of tattooed priest

The Dean of Canterbury has defended a tattooed priest appointed to the city’s cathedral.

Celebrating her new role, the cathedral tweeted a photo of Reverend Wendy Dalrymple in a short-sleeved dog-collared dress that revealed her religious tattoos.

But she was targeted by online trolls who branded the Anglican cleric as “prideful” and “vain” for “the peacock display”.
