Pressed on family jet, Kerry angrily says he never personally owned one

John Kerry – Lunatic

The U.S. special presidential envoy for climate, John Kerry, angrily pushed back on allegations Thursday that he owned a private jet, saying that he personally never owned a private aircraft in response to questioning about the plane that belonged to his wife’s family before they sold it last year.

And …

Jamie Sarkonak: Poilievre, Smith don’t owe apologies for ‘straight pride’ photos

Listen up, straights: Pride isn’t for you.

And no, after a month of the entire government-corporate apparatus applauding those for having non-straight sexual orientations and niche gender identities, you can’t say “straight pride.” These are just the rules. And no, conservative politicians aren’t going to stand with you on this.

Swedish Muslims Not Amused by Quran Burning Joke

A Swedish comedian has been receiving death threats on social media after he made a joke about recent controversial protests that involved burning the Quran, wrote the local Nyheter Idag on Monday, July 10th. Although the object of mockery was the typical Swedish mentality, and not Islam or the act itself, the Muslim community’s reaction was volatile, reminiscent of the turmoil caused by the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy nearly two decades ago.

The comedian Fredrik Andersson posted the segment of his new show on Friday, during which he made fun of how law-abiding Swedes behave, even when preparing for a protest.

CBC Beseeches Satan To Intervene On Behalf Of Groomers: “Christian conservative groups recruiting thousands to back Higgs”

Christian conservative groups recruiting thousands to back Higgs

Christian conservative groups rallying support for New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs now have enough signatures to be a decisive factor in any leadership review vote.

Two groups rallying support for the embattled Progressive Conservative leader have flexed their muscles in the last month, gathering enough names to swing the vote in his favour.

“A lot of times it’s hundreds or even dozens of people that can make a difference in some of these elections,” said Faytene Grasseschi, who runs the group 4 My Canada from Quispamsis, outside Saint John.

One-in-Five Canadians Hesitant to Receive Further COVID-19 Boosters: Survey

Around one-in-five Canadians are hesitant to get a future COVID-19 booster shot, with nearly 60 percent of those reluctant saying they had concerns with the vaccine’s safety, according to in-house research by the Department of Health.

Randall Denley: Ontario finally dumps the Liberals’ naive green-energy ideology

The age of energy ideology is over in Ontario, replaced by power pragmatism. The Ontario government’s new and ambitious plan to meet the province’s power needs until 2050 draws on pretty much every known technology to meet a demand for power that could double by that year.

One doesn’t have to look too far back to remember the era of overhyped and overpriced wind and solar projects that former premier Dalton McGuinty’s Liberal government was so eager to foist off on Ontarians. Across the province, the countryside is scarred with wind farms and solar installations. It was the sort of approach that a government could toy with, knowing that the province had surplus power so it didn’t need to rely on wind and solar.

Alas poor fridge …

Well the old fridge gave up the ghost completely yesterday.

The freezer had been working so I had hoped to save all the food packed in there.

Not to be, something seized up and it began to emit an awful sound, like a dinosaur dying.

So everything is defrosting and will be heading for the garbage … except

My building’s compactor broke down and we’ve been advised to hold on to our waste until further notice.

Any way here’s a pic of my new Frigidaire fridge due for delivery Saturday. Of course mine will never look as neat and tidy. Hope Fridge Cat likes his new digs.

Average asking price for Canadian rental unit hits record high in June: Rentals.ca

TORONTO – A new report says the average asking price for a rental unit in Canada reached a record $2,042 last month amid continued interest rate hikes, population expansion and low unemployment.

Rentals.ca’s latest data release shows year-over-year rent inflation for June was 7.5 per cent, below the double-digit growth seen for most of 2022 and early 2023.

That’s insane.

Canada here we come – the EU dream of global empire

REMEMBER when Australia entered the Eurovision Song Contest a few years back? That was not merely a gimmick. Influential figures in the European arm of Western-orientated globalisation want to change the world to their progressive design, and that entails branding the EU as a global venture. Indeed, Timothy Garton Ash, Professor of European Studies at the University of Oxford, pushes the preposterous notion of a ‘post-imperial empire’.

Is America Losing The Battle For Naval Superiority To Red China?

It’s no secret Red China has spent the past several decades heavily investing in its armed forces. In a matter of decades, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has evolved into the largest military in the world, retrofitted with some of the latest and most advanced weapons systems.

Such developments have prompted Beijing to take more aggressive actions throughout the Indo-Pacific region in recent years. Just last month, a U.S. destroyer was abruptly cut off by a People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) vessel during a transit through the Taiwan Strait. The incident occurred a few weeks after a Chinese fighter jet came within 400 feet of a U.S. reconnaissance aircraft while the latter was conducting a patrol of the South China Sea.

Pre-Emptive Presidential Pardons for Joe and Hunter Biden

As the revelations of potential bribery, bank fraud and tax evasion swirl around Joe Biden and Hunter Biden, both men, who are increasingly appearing together, seem extraordinary calm and unconcerned in public as Joe flashes his signature supercilious and mocking smirk whenever he is asked about the various investigation into his and his son’s activities over the past 12 years. Thanks to pre-emptive presidential pardons, Joe knows that he, Hunter, and the family will never have to answer for any of their alleged egregious criminality.
