Ukraine air chief: my best pilots are dying while we wait for F-16s

An American assessment of Ukrainian fighter pilots has revealed they would be ready to fly F-16 jets after fewer than six months of training, their commander has told The Times.

In his first interview since President Putin’s tanks crossed the border last year, General Serhii Holubtsov, chief of aviation of Ukraine’s air force, said that two of his pilots had returned to the country last week after a rigorous assessment by the US military.

Prince Harry and Meghan back group that accuses parents of ‘gendering’ unborn children

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are backing a campaign group working in UK schools that accuses parents of “gendering” their unborn children.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes, has a partnership with the Global Boyhood Initiative, a group which aims to “promote gender equity by fostering positive masculinity in boys and men”.

The Global Boyhood Initiative has created a curriculum which is being piloted in London schools and encourages primary school children to question “gender norms”.

One day Harry will regret marrying that woman.

How the West Abetted Beijing’s Censorship of the Lab Leak Theory

“Debunked.” “Dangerous.” “Unhelpful.”

These were some of the terms heaped on the theory that COVID-19 might have spilled from a lab in China, accidentally or not. Suggesting the virus may have been linked to a Chinese lab would swiftly earn one the label of “conspiracy theorist.”

That was the case for at least 18 months since the pandemic erupted from China, where the ruling communist regime has repeatedly thwarted efforts by citizen journalists and the outside world to probe the virus origins, and covered up the true death toll.

Joe Biden’s dangerous trans zealotry

It is hard to tell which was the biggest lie Joe Biden told in his sit-down with Kal Penn, former stoner-movie actor turned Democratic Party lackey, earlier this week on the Daily Show.

Was it Biden’s claim that preventing minors from having genital-removing surgeries and harmful cross-sex hormones is ‘sinful’? Was it that he characterised as ‘cruel’ attempts to prevent these irreversible, dangerous and downright grotesque surgeries being conducted on children?

The true Left is not woke

It is 85 years since the great bluesman Lead Belly coined the phrase “stay woke” in “Scottsboro Boys”, a song dedicated to nine black teenagers whose execution for rapes they never committed was only prevented by years of international protests and the American Communist Party. Staying alive to injustice — what could be wrong with that? Apparently, quite a lot. In a few short decades, woke was transformed from a term of praise to a term of abuse. Still, the fact that politicians ranging from Ron DeSantis to Rishi Sunak deploy “woke” as a battle cry should not prevent us from examining its assumptions. For not only liberals, but many Leftists and socialists like me are increasingly uneasy with the form it has taken.

A wake-up call from Oxfam’s woke language guide

IF YOU want to change a society, the most efficient way is not with guns and tanks but with a dictionary.

Progressives know the power of language and they prioritise it in their efforts to restructure society. Change the language and you change the way people think, change the way people think and you change the way people act, change the way people act and you have changed society; all without firing a shot. It takes longer than a violent revolution but it is much more effective and longer lasting.

Wagner mercenary group starts selling its famous sledgehammers as home decorations

Furniture shops in Moscow have started selling Wagner Group-branded sledgehammers as home decorations.

The metal sledgehammers are etched with the mercenary fighters’ logo, as well as a pile of skulls – and come in a presentation box that resembles a coffin.

The Russian Telegram channel Caution, Moscow quoted home decorations managers as saying that there was “high demand” for the sledgehammers, which are described as “perfect accessories in loft conversions”.

Here’s What We Saw in East Palestine

Though the tragedy in East Palestine has been overshadowed in the news by banks crashing and the Biden family getting caught with millions of Chinese communist dollars Trump’s impending arrest, the small town in eastern Ohio is still reeling from the derailment or — more accurately — the spilling of toxic waste, much of which is still sitting in the town’s backyard, and the burning of toxic chemicals, which, as one local put it, “was burnt because they didn’t want to clean their own damn mess.”

The War by Women

Trust the science: Bad mothers are behind the explosion of militant LGBT identification.

It ought to go without saying that no toddler has ever gone to a drag show of his own volition—at least if for no other reason than that toddlers do very little on their own.

The blame, just like the agency, lies elsewhere. The creeps who dress up in fetishized pastiche of femininity to gyrate and flounce before helpless little kids deserve a good bit of the blowback, to be sure. But the real culpability lies with the parents who drag their unsuspecting children into the lion’s den of rainbow activism.

Great Replacement Debate Goes Ahead Despite Protests

The contentious Great Replacement theory went under debate last week at the Katholieke Universiteit (KU) of Leuven, Belgium’s largest university. But protesters tried to shut it down.

The main target of the protesters was the controversial Filip Dewinter, an MP in the Flemish Parliament for the nationalist Vlaams Belang, who has been active in promoting the Great Replacement theory in Flanders—through his book Omvolking, or ‘Repopulation’ in English. He was invited by the Liberal Flemish Students’ Association (LVSV) to debate another MP, Maurice Vande Reyde of the liberal Open Vld party, on Monday evening, March 13th.

NATO is racing to arm its Russian borders. Can it find the weapons?

BRUSSELS — Add NATO’s military planners to the list of those concerned about having enough shells.

In the coming months, the alliance will accelerate efforts to stockpile equipment along the alliance’s eastern edge and designate tens of thousands of forces that can rush to allies’ aid on short notice — a move meant to stop Russia from expanding its war beyond Ukraine.

To make that happen, though, NATO must convince individual countries to contribute various elements: Soldiers, training, better infrastructure — and, most notably, extensive amounts of pricey weapons, equipment and ammunition.

Anthony Furey: The Need for Maximal Disclosure on Beijing’s Election Interference

It looks like we finally have one political leader serving in higher office who actually wants to know more rather than less about the allegations of the Beijing Communist regime’s interference in our elections.

British Columbia NDP Premier David Eby says he’s “very troubled” by these allegations. He wants a “thorough and independent investigation” and he’s requested CSIS provide him with a “full briefing.”

Joe Biden is about to ask Canadians to go stabilize Haiti. Here’s how huge the job is

Vincent Harris arrived in Haiti earlier this year to heal bodies.

Two weeks ago, the medical adviser for Doctors Without Borders found himself instead in the midst of the country’s war.

“There was a really violent clash between two armed groups,” Harris said this week from Port-au-Prince. “Unfortunately, the front line where those groups met was directly in front of the doors of the hospital.”

How bout we just stay out of it?

A Sandwich Shop, a Tent City and an American Crisis

As homelessness overwhelms downtown Phoenix, a small business wonders how long it can hang on.

He had been coming into work at the same sandwich shop at the same exact time every weekday morning for the last four decades, but now Joe Faillace, 69, pulled up to Old Station Subs with no idea what to expect. He parked on a street lined with three dozen tents, grabbed his Mace and unlocked the door to his restaurant. The peace sign was still hanging above the entryway. Fake flowers remained undisturbed on every table. He picked up the phone and dialed his wife and business partner, Debbie Faillace, 60.

“All clear,” he said. “Everything looks good.”

It’s largely a drug and mental health issue, being homeless is a symptom.
