IP Theft: Communist China diverts so called researchers to Canadian Universities after U.S. visa denials, CSIS says

Beijing is using a “workaround strategy” for postgraduate researchers to study cutting-edge technology at Canadian and U.S. universities after Washington began denying visas for some Chinese students on the grounds that they might steal intellectual property with military uses, according to a Canadian Security Intelligence Service report.

The Dec. 21, 2021, report, labelled secret and viewed by The Globe and Mail, said the strategy sends some scholarship students to Canada from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) with the aim of gaining access to critical high tech.

This is what happens when your Prime Minister is a scum sucking punk.

Video shows how migrants enter Canada at Roxham Road’s illegal border crossing

Every day since the beginning of the year, over 150 migrants walk or are driven up a long dirt road in upstate New York to a small ditch and a white concrete obelisk marking the border between the United States and Canada. There, on Roxham Road, they will illegally cross over the ditch into the small Quebec municipality of St-Bernard-de-Lacolle to make an asylum claim in Canada. They’re part of a growing wave of migrants from every corner of the world walking over the border at Roxham Road that began in 2017, and is showing no signs of slowing down.

America’s $620 billion ticking time bomb: FDIC reveals the extraordinary amount of ‘unrealized losses’ across U.S. banks amid fears more will collapse after the sudden failure of SVB and Signature

Banks across America are sitting on $620 billion of ‘unrealized losses’ – assets which have decreased in value but have not yet been sold – – the head of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation warned.

News of the worrying shortfall came amid the closure of Silicon Valley Bank – the largest collapse since Washington Mutual in 2008.

As the government scrambles to prevent contagion, the Federal Reserve announced on Sunday night that all depositors would get their money back.

Wall Street Braces for the Next Silicon Valley Bank

Investors were worried that the fastest interest-rate increases in decades meant that something in the economy might break.
Last week, it did. Now, investors are asking: What else might crack?

… “I think this could be the first cockroach in the cellar,” said Fredric Russell, chief executive of Fredric E. Russell Investment Management Co. in Tulsa, Okla. “Banks get thrown into the dark pool of complacency, and then they lower their quality standards.”

Here’s what’s being done to prevent crisis from Silicon Valley Bank collapse

NEW YORK (AP) — Governments in the UK and U.S. took extraordinary steps to stop a potential banking crisis after the historic failure of Silicon Valley Bank, even as another major bank was shut down.

The UK Treasury and the Bank of England announced early Monday that they had facilitated the sale of Silicon Valley Bank UK to HSBC, Europe’s biggest bank, ensuring the security of 6.7 billion pounds ($8.1 billion) of deposits.

British officials worked throughout the weekend to find a buyer for the UK subsidiary of the California-based bank. Its collapse was the second-largest bank failure in history.

Greta Thunberg’s 2018 Prediction That World Would End In Five Years Doesn’t Turn Out So Well

Greta Thunberg Climate Hysteria Puppet

Nietzsche in the Shadows

Traces of Nietzsche’s ideas are made manifest in intersectionality.

Much electronic ink has been spilled of late regarding the sources of the current radical movement sweeping the Western world. In countless popular articles and blogs, Karl Marx is often credited as the ancestral source of the current disorder, but there is another figure whose influence is at least as strong as that of the father of communism: Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche. The latter’s influence on the philosophical thought of two of the key architects in the shaping of the contemporary mind, the French postmodernist gurus Michel Foucault and Jacques Derrida, was profound. The embrace and subsequent promulgation of deconstructionist ideas by university academics led to the widespread, if often indirect, dissemination of Nieztschean ideas among students as well as the general public.

Cops Harass Parents Who Let 6-Year-Old Daughter Take a Walk Outside, Arrest Dad

This fall, just as Keith Kaplan was finishing up his first term as a town councilman in the New York suburb of Teaneck, New Jersey, he proposed a Reasonable Childhood Independence bill. It states that when parents allow kids to perform age-old independent activities, like walking or playing outside, they are not committing negligence unless the kids are in obvious, serious, and likely danger.

For Kaplan, the bill is especially important. That’s because of an incident he witnessed involving his friends, their daughter, and the police.

Liberal feminist Naomi Wolf apologizes to conservatives, Republicans, and MAGA

Because of lies … in legacy media — lies which I and millions of others believed — half of our nation’s electorate was smeared and delegitimized, and I myself was misled. It damages our nation when legacy media put words in the mouths of … former Presidents, and call them traitors or criminals without evidence.  … The Democrats in leadership … have cherry-picked, hyped, spun, and … appear to have lied about aspects of January 6, turning a tragedy for the nation into a politicized talking point aimed at discrediting half of our electorate.

Conflicting Reports Thicken Nord Stream Bombing Plot

None of the emerging narratives surrounding the Nord Stream pipeline bombing really contradicts Seymour Hersh’s central allegation that Biden authorized the operation.

IN THE MONTH since veteran journalist Seymour Hersh published his bombshell report alleging that President Joe Biden personally authorized a covert action to bomb the Nord Stream pipelines, we’ve seen a frenzy of speculation, detailed dissection of Hersh’s specific assertions, and the emergence of competing narratives both supporting and denouncing the report.

The question of whether Hersh’s story is accurate — either in whole or in part — is of monumental significance, and there are some issues related to this story that have not received as much attention as they deserve. Among these are questions surrounding the legal and constitutional framework the Biden administration would have used if, as Hersh’s source alleges, Biden directly ordered the bombing of the Nord Stream pipelines. There is also an emerging counternarrative to Hersh’s reporting from U.S. intelligence that warrants scrutiny, both on its merits and for how it might relate to Hersh’s story.

Mexican cartels threaten America’s playground

Olivia Rose Withington can remember when kitesurfers in the Mexican village of La Ventana would struggle to find a taco or a beer after a day on the water.

The village on the eastern side of the Baja California peninsula was a well-kept secret, known to a relative handful of “wind chasers” attracted by perfect conditions for the sport. Now, after years of American tourists flocking south for a slice of the good life, La Ventana is a secret no more. Withington is among the locals worried that it risks attracting the attention of Mexico’s increasingly rampant cartels.
