The Home Office shouldn’t shy away from exposing Islamist extremism

Like many with an interest in national security, I’ve spent this week closely following the news that there has been yet another delay to the release of the long-anticipated review into the government’s counter-extremism programme, Prevent. But unlike many of my colleagues, these issues feel more intimate and closer to home for me, given my personal experience. In March 2017 I sustained serious injuries in the Westminster Bridge terrorist attack when an Islamist extremist targeted pedestrians, including me and my friends, with an SUV before stabbing a police officer outside Parliament.

If you think of the woke movement as fundamentally religious in nature, one way of answering that question is to see what the duration was of comparable outbreaks of religious fervour in our recent history. According to Wikipedia, there have been four ‘Great Awakenings’ in the past 300 years, the first lasting about 25 years, the second and third 50 or more, and the fourth in the 1960s and 1970s lasting about 20.

U.S. Start-Up Starts Making Clouds To Stop ‘Climate Change’

An American start-up has launched to make the controversial process of solar geoengineering a reality.

Make Sunsets claims to have already sent two balloons into the stratosphere to inject sulphur dioxide, intended to reflect the heat of the sun and cool everything under the man-made cloud.

“We make reflective, high-altitude, biodegradable clouds that cool the planet. Mimicking natural processes, our ‘shiny clouds’ are going to prevent catastrophic global warming,” the company explains on its website. “Specifically: we release a natural compound via reusable balloons to create reflective clouds in the stratosphere.”

NY Times Blames Refusal to Teach America is Racist for Complaints by Disabled Students

Sometimes I’m not sure if the education beat at the New York Times might not be worse than its foreign policy. And I’m not just talking about the paper’s prolonged antisemitic campaign against religious Jewish education.

Here’s a straightforward issue. Complaints by disabled students and their parents are high. So the New York Times blames Trump and the refusal by some schools to incorporate racist critical race theory texts and graphic sexual content for the problem.

Nearly a third of the nation believes the COVID-19 vaccine has killed somebody they know, highlighting the safety concerns the public still has about the shot.

As the first family renewed their call for the country to get vaccinated, 28% of likely voters told Rasmussen Reports that they “personally know” somebody they think died from the side effects of the shot.

The high-tech grifter went from billionaire to broke in a matter of days when investors realized that his FTX crypto-currency trading platform had vaporized their money. FTX was a Ponzi scheme purpose-built to snare investors like them—people who thought they were smarter than everyone else. Up until his arrest on December 11, SBF, as Bankman-Fried styles himself, was still giving interviews. Like a frat boy who got caught “borrowing” the college president’s car, he seemed to think he could still talk his way out of this mess. But he’s about to learn that embezzling money is a crime. Even when the alleged embezzler is a fuzzy-headed nerd who convinced everyone he was just trying to save the world.

Do parents have the right to know what their children are being taught in public school?

Parents say yes; teachers say no.

Of course, it’s not quite that simple. The description of the latter party can be tweaked to “teachers unions” — although you don’t hear many individual teachers bucking the union line — but the dichotomy remains: parents want to know what’s going on in their kids’ classrooms, and teachers, administrators, and their union bosses would rather not tell them.

Justice Department is concealing 400 pages of ‘sensitive documents’ laying bare payoffs and gifts to Hunter and Jim Biden from China, Russia and Ukraine

The Department of Justice is trying to prevent disclosure of 400 pages of sensitive documents on Hunter and Jim Biden’s dealings with China, Russia and Ukraine – by pretending they don’t exist.

Colorado lawyer Kevin Evans sued the department in March after it failed to comply with his request for records on the Bidens’ dealings under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

Evans, a FOIA expert, asked for documents pertaining to ‘any relationship, communication, gift(s), and/or remuneration in any form’ between the president’s son Hunter or brother Jim, and China, Russia or Ukraine.

Do Not Fall for the China-TikTok ‘Strategic Ploy’

TikTok, the extremely popular video-sharing app, is in the midst of another round of negotiations with the U.S. federal government over data security.

The Biden administration should terminate the seemingly endless discussions and either require TikTok to stop operations in the U.S. or force its Chinese owner to sell the app lock, stock and barrel to American parties. No other solution is acceptable from national security and First Amendment points of view.

President Joe Biden’s failure to counter the known threat of the TikTok platform is a prime example of Washington’s bipartisan inability to recognize the comprehensive nature of the Communist Party’s assault on America. China wants to tap TikTok data for, among other purposes, blackmailing and intimidating Americans.

Woke Fail: Netflix Shares Plummet More Than 50 Percent in 2022 — Worst Year in More than a Decade

Netflix has closed out its worst year in more than a decade, with its stock plunging more than 50 percent and wiping out a staggering $136 billion in market value.

For 2022, Netflix shares dropped 50.6 percent, the most the stock has declined on an annual basis since 2011. For the first time, the once-invincible company lost subscribers for two consecutive quarters, ushering in a period of painful belt-tightening that has included several hundred layoffs.
