Trudeau says firearms bill will go after ‘some’ hunting guns that are ‘too dangerous in other contexts’

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says that while the federal government is not trying to go after the right to hunt through contentious gun control legislation, the Liberals “are going at some of the guns used to do it.”

Trudeau said that this is because some of these firearms “are too dangerous in other contexts.”

This fall, work in Parliament on the government’s Bill C-21—initially focused on ‘red flag’ laws and restricting legal access to handguns—became the centre of controversy after the Liberals put forward an amendment that would enshrine in law a definition for “assault-style” weapons.

Canada’s border agency using radio equipment from Communist Chinese company banned in the United States

For the past five and a half years, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has been using communications equipment and technology from the controversial Chinese firm Hytera Communications — a company the United States government has blacklisted as a national security threat.

In response to CBC’s questions about CBSA’s use of Hytera equipment and technology, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino said he’s asked all departments across his portfolio to review any procurement contracts linked to Hytera or its subsidiaries in the wake of a controversy over a similar RCMP contract with one of Hytera’s subsidiaries.

“I have instructed my department to do a portfolio-wide scan and review of any other potential similar contracts which may have been awarded, so that we can take whatever steps are necessary to mitigate any against any risks that may exist,” Mendicino said Monday.

Has anyone looked into the possibility of connections between these suppliers and the Liberal Party? That should include individual and corporate donations.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — After a month-long trial and nine days of deliberations, Los Angeles jurors on Monday found Harvey Weinstein guilty of the rape and sexual assault of just one of the four accusers he was charged with abusing.

But the three guilty counts involving an Italian actor and model known at the trial as Jane Doe 1 still struck a major blow against the disgraced movie mogul, and provided another #MeToo moment of reckoning, five years after he became a magnet for the movement.

Why anyone would seek out Bernie’s thoughts are a mystery given his credibility is at virtual zero due to his association with the Antifa supporting far-left extremist group CAHN. But they don’t mention CAHN for some reason only Bernie’s previous role as head of the defunct CJC.

Evidence shows FBI, Biden campaign and Twitter worked together to suppress Hunter story

Members of the intelligence community, and censors at Twitter, stress that they just didn’t know the Hunter Biden laptop was real, so they erred on the side of caution. “It has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation,” the infamous letter from 50 former officials said.

Now we know that was a lie.

The FBI already had Hunter’s laptop — it was handed over to them by the owner of a Delaware repair shop, the same man who would provide it to The Post nearly a year later.

This is why they are persecuting Trump.

Number of Guns Smuggled Into Canada ‘Unknown’: Federal Briefing Note

“In other words, there’s almost a zero percent chance that any illegal weapons entering the country via rail will ever be found,”

Canada’s public safety department says it does not know how many guns are smuggled into the country.

In a federal briefing note obtained by Blacklock’s Reporter, the Department of Public Safety said the scope of gunrunning in Canada is “unknown.”

“Cross-border smuggling of firearms poses a threat to the safety and security of Canada,” said the note, titled “Efforts To Address Firearms Smuggling And Trafficking.”

Ottawa police procuring equipment ahead of possible ‘Freedom Convoy’ reboot: chief

Ottawa’s new police chief says his officers have already begun preparing for a possible reboot of the ‘Freedom Convoy’ protest next year, and vows there will not be a repeat of the occupation that took over downtown Ottawa for weeks last winter.

“We will be ready,” Chief Eric Stubbs told CTV News on Monday. “The ultimate goal of all this planning and preparing is to ensure that what happened last year doesn’t happen this year.”

“We feel that we’re in a place right now where given the information that we have, that our preparations are well in hand.”

Iranian protesters have opened a new front as their demonstrations over the death of Mahsa Amini enter a fourth month, taking to windows and rooftops to show their anger at the government as they push for more freedoms.

Instead of taking to the streets, people have been chanting anti-government slogans from their apartment buildings in several neighborhoods of Tehran, according to posts on social media. At the same time, street protests and slogans continued in some neighborhoods of the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad and the western city of Kermanshah.

The weekend news, which began with a forensic dissection of the fallout from the six unrelenting hours of the Netflix series Harry and Meghan, was soon dominated by Clarkson’s extraordinary column in the Sun, in which he wrote of the Duchess of Sussex:

‘I hate her. Not like I hate Nicola Sturgeon or Rose West. I hate her on a cellular level.’

He went on to suggest that: ‘At night, I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, “Shame!” and throw lumps of excrement at her.’
