A major fuel supply company has issued an alert about upcoming diesel fuel shortages in several East Coast states.
States that are expected to experience shortages include Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina, Mansfield Energy said in an alert last week.

Ever since it appeared in its early and vague contours, statehood as a concept has been challenged by a range of factors — from paganism and its ritual to organized religion, ideology, despotic adventures, private financial power, and, more recently, globalization.
Statehood had to overcome tribalism and adopt the broader concept of “the people” as foundation bloc. It then had to ward off a challenge by organized religion and develop the concept of citizenship. What emerged was a world of nation-states that could coexist, albeit not always in peace, within a world order based on international law.

Somalia’s president says at least 100 people were killed on Saturday in two car bombings at a busy junction in the capital, Mogadishu, and the toll could rise in the country’s deadliest attack since a truck bombing at the same spot five years ago killed more than 500.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, at the site of the explosions in Mogadishu, told journalists that nearly 300 other people were wounded. “We ask our international partners and Muslims around the world to send their medical doctors here since we can’t send all the victims outside the country for treatment,” he said.

The program, which is funded by Canadian taxpayers via Public Safety Canada’s Cyber Security Cooperation Program, will initially provide services and education to 700 girls and non-binary students from Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia in 2022-23 in what is being described as a “gamified environment,” and then throughout Canada the following year.
According to the eligibility requirements listed on the program’s website, “Priority in 2022 will be given to students in Ontario, Alberta or British Columbia who self-identify as girls or non-binary. Students must be over the age of 13 to participate.”

A man threw petrol bombs attached with fireworks at a centre for processing migrants in the port of Dover today and then killed himself, witnesses said.
The attacker, a white man wearing a checked shirt, drove up to the centre in a white SEAT sports utility vehicle.
He got out and threw three petrol bombs, one of which did not go off, a photographer said.
