San Francisco is spending $1.7 million on one public toilet

San Francisco politicians will gather at the Noe Valley Town Square Wednesday afternoon to congratulate themselves for securing state money for a long-desired toilet in the northeast corner of the charming plaza.

Another public toilet in a city with far too few of them is excellent. But the details of this particular commode? They’re mind-boggling, maddening and encapsulate so much of what’s wrong with our city government.

Great. Now Toronto will want one.

Watson Told Trudeau Convoy Protesters Were ‘Nasty’ and Un-Canadian: Phone Call

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson told Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a phone call that the Freedom Convoy protesters were “nasty people” that don’t represent the country, saying they remind him of the Republican Party, documents presented at the inquiry into the use of the Emergencies Act show. His comments were shown at the inquiry on Oct. 18, where he later denied to the convoy protesters’ lawyer that he had politicized the protests.

“A challenge for everyone. Still a pretty unstable situation. Nasty people out there that just don’t represent Canada,” Watson told Trudeau on Feb. 8, according to a transcript presented at the public inquiry into the federal government’s use of the Emergencies Act, as first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter.

Our political class lives in a bubble without contact to Canadians.

Toe-curling moment Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez DANCES along to heckling crowd chanting ‘AOC has gotta go’ at rowdy town hall meeting in Queens

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been filmed grooving along to protesters who chanted ‘AOC has gotta go’ while backed by a drum beat at a fractious town hall meeting.

Protestors confronted the second-term congresswoman at a town hall in Queens on Wednesday night.

The grinning congresswoman shrugged off the aggressive criticism as she sipped from a water bottle and began to move her shoulders in beat with the chants.

Chrystia Freeland is right to condemn doing business with dictators. Will Trudeau listen?

There were a couple of things that were quite striking about Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland’s clarion call at a Brookings Institution forum last week where she called for a radical dismantling of the global trade paradigm that Russia and China have lately proved so successful in subverting by coercion, blackmail and war.

Former FBI Official Will Testify About White House Pressure to Inflate Domestic Extremism Numbers

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee announced on Thursday that they would be calling a former top FBI official to testify before Congress to address claims that the Biden administration pressured agents to label cases as domestic extremism or a white supremacist threat even if they did not meet that criteria in order to match Joe Biden’s rhetoric.

Isn’t it interesting that the sudden focus on an imaginary surge in “white supremacism” & “domestic terrorism” coincided with the The Great Reset and its Green-Scam.

It happened simultaneously and most noticeably in the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Germany. It’s as if governments were attempting to criminalize their citizens in order to stamp out opposition to unpopular policy decisions like unfettered mass immigration or economically ruinous “green energy” initiatives.

The Trucker Convoy was portrayed as a NAZI Panzer division driving on Ottawa by Justin and his media. Just coincidence I’m sure.

OPP Intelligence Head Concerned With False Allegations of Extremism made by Politicians, Media Against Convoy Protesters

“So when I read accounts that the state of Russia had something to do with it, or that this was a result of American influence, either financially or ideologically, or that Donald Trump was behind it, or that it was un-Canadian, or that the people participating were un-Canadian and that they were not Canadian views and they were extremists, I found it to be problematic.”

Wow an honest public servant. Compare and contrast with Justin, the CBC and the rest of those frauds.

Empty Shelves in German Supermarkets as Inflation Hits Food Products

Is it me or is it getting just a little  too “Weimar” in here?

Supermarkets are being left with empty shelves throughout Germany, as spiralling inflation renders the sale of a wide variety of products unprofitable.

Products ranging from Kellogg’s cornflakes to Coca Cola have disappeared from supermarkets throughout Germany, with many shops being left with empty shelves as products become simply unprofitable to sell due to differentials in inflation.

Canadian taxpayers on hook for $55K of Trudeau family’s annual grocery bill

OTTAWA — Canadian taxpayers spend nearly $55,000 annually on food bills for the prime minister’s household.

Documents obtained by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation covering household expenses of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his predecessor, Stephen Harper, list an average of $54,494 annually on “miscellaneous food expenses” billed to the taxpayer after customary reimbursements by the prime minister. That works out to a little over $1,000 a week.

What the hell are they eating gold plated steaks?

Is there really a COVID ‘nightmare variant’ spreading? Here’s what experts say

While the United States contends with the newly detected COVID omicron BQ.1 subvariants, another highly mutated strain of the coronavirus called XBB is tearing across Southeast Asia, where in some countries, it has caused the number of cases to double in a day.

Some more sensationalist reports have called XBB a “ nightmare variant ” due to its apparent ability to evade immunity and dampen some therapies. But infectious disease experts say it is too soon to jump to such broad conclusions.

What’s at stake in the Emergencies Act inquiry?

We have yet to hear anything demonstrating that the government’s use of the act was necessary

Act first, ask questions later. That’s what the Emergencies Act allows the government to do.

No parliamentary debate, no sober second thought in the Senate, no transparent democratic process. Just action. New legal orders start to govern us on the sole authority of the prime minister and cabinet.

‘I accept her evidence in its entirety’: Hedley frontman Jacob Hoggard sentenced to five years in prison for sex assault

You can always count on Justin to be buds with the right people.

A judge has sentenced former Hedley frontman Jacob Hoggard to five years in prison for a particularly “manipulative and degrading” rape.

“I believe (the victim). I accept her evidence in its entirety,” Justice Gillian Roberts said in a Toronto court Thursday.

After a four-week trial in May and a six-days of contentious deliberation, a jury found the 38-year-old former Hedley frontman guilty of sexual assault causing bodily harm of the Ottawa woman, but not guilty of groping a 15-year-old fan after a concert and sexually assaulting her in a hotel room after she turned 16.

Child pornographers at CBC In Shock that anti-trans candidates running in Ontario school board elections

With support from several conservative groups, some candidates are vowing to end inclusive sex education

In school board elections across Ontario this Monday, dozens of candidates are running on promises to roll back protections for transgender students, part of a concerted effort by conservative lobby groups to undo policies aimed at addressing systemic discrimination.

The normally sleepy contests for trustee positions have been highly charged this year with faith-based groups, political parties and self-styled “anti-woke” organizations involved to an unprecedented degree, including providing endorsements, mobilizing volunteers and providing candidates’ training from U.S. political operatives.

OMG! US Political Operatives! That’s only OK when they want to shut down the Oil and Gas Industry! CBC’s playbook has gotten very stale.

Isn’t it great your tax dollars pick up the tab for the sick fetish of child sexualization at the CBC?

Child abuse is “normal” at the CBC, one more reason it should be shut down.

Secret recording reveals deep rift over plan to hire new Ottawa police chief during convoy crisis

A secretly recorded conversation between Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and Coun. Diane Deans about an aborted plan to hire a new police chief at the height of last winter’s convoy protest was played Wednesday at the public inquiry examining the federal government’s decision to invoke the Emergencies Act to help end the crisis.

The Feb. 15 recording, which was only brought forward to the commission Wednesday morning, was entered into evidence at the Public Order Emergency Commission Wednesday afternoon. The tense call was recorded by Deans’ assistant without Watson’s knowledge, she later testified.

It appears that government and the police were the greatest threat to public order.
