Trudeau says Russian invasion of Ukraine ‘accelerated’ Canada’s move away from oil and gas
With the Ukraine war having helped to drive Canadian fuel prices to historic highs, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Tuesday that the conflict was helping to “accelerate” this country’s shift to renewable energy.

Georgetown University’s School of Medicine is teaching its students to administer puberty blockers and hormone therapy to minors, an investigation by The Spectator reveals.
Medical students were told in a 2021 pre-clinical course that the “only way to help” many transgender people is to “‘fix’ their bodies” through medical intervention. The course also falsely claimed that puberty blockers are “fully reversible.”
Georgetown University did not return a request for comment.
President Joe Biden’s push to change the rules regarding “ghost guns” and put serial numbers on gun parts may be hitting a major roadblock. The team of prosecutors “believe there is sufficient evidence” to charge Trump for obstruction, according to “people familiar with the matter” cited by Bloomberg, but the outlet said that “the path to an actual indictment is far from clear.” The outlet said the DOJ group “has not yet made a formal recommendation” to Attorney General Merrick Garland and that their sources said it is “also unlikely officials would bring only obstruction charges amid several other Trump investigations into potential crimes.” The outlet said charges are unlikely to be filed or revealed prior to the November midterm elections.
