Critiquing George Soros isn’t antisemitism

Democrat Steve Descano accused an official in Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s (R-VA) administration of trafficking in antisemitism earlier this month. The official had stated that Descano, the Fairfax County commonwealth’s attorney, was a George Soros-funded prosecutor.

Descano denied that Soros funded his campaign, but the official, Virginia’s Deputy Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Maggie Cleary, was correct. Descano received $601,369 of his 2019 campaign donations, nearly two-thirds of his entire campaign contributions, from the Justice and Public Safety PAC, a Soros-funded organization promoting progressive criminal justice reform.

Cannabis use has ROCKETED up by 20% in states where it has been legalized, study finds as researchers warn of ‘negative health and psychosocial outcomes’

Legalization of recreational cannabis has seen usage rise by 20 percent, according to new research on America’s rapid and risky experiment with a drug that can be damaging — and even deadly — for young people.

University of Minnesota researchers say the frequency of pot use in California, Colorado, Oregon and other states that legalized adult recreational use jumped by a fifth, prompting ‘complex questions’ for policymakers.

The research counters other studies that recorded no increased use, and pro-cannabis campaigners who argued legalization would not boost consumption as black market pot was always widely available.

Italian man becomes the first person to simultaneously test positive for monkeypox, Covid and HIV

Scientists have reported the first known case of a person testing positive for monkeypox, Covid-19 and HIV at the same time.

Earlier this year, a 36-year-old Italian male began to develop a series of symptoms — including fatigue, fever, and a sore throat — nine days after returning from a trip to Spain.

The man, who has not been identified, spent five days in Spain from 16 to 20 June 2022 during which he admitted to having unprotected sex with men.
