High gas prices hurting? That’s exactly what Trudeau wants

The Trudeau Liberals must be patting themselves on the back every time they pass a gas station, after all, these unaffordable pump prices are precisely what they want.

Inflation hasn’t been this high since the Pierre Elliott Trudeau government back in the early ’80s. Canadians are struggling to afford groceries and other basics. But that hasn’t stopped the current Trudeau government from divulging its plan for a second carbon tax.

NY Times again suggests Joe Biden, 79, is too old to run for re-election and says he now ‘shuffles’ with White House staffers fearing he’ll trip on a wire

The New York Times has once again suggested Joe Biden may be too old to run for re-election in a piece that revealed the president now ‘shuffles,’ and that staffers are fearful he may trip over wires.

Biden, 79, has experienced a decline in energy levels, with some aides alleging he ‘often shuffles’ while walking, prompting fears ‘he will trip on a wire.’ He also often stumbles over his words during public speaking events.

Staffers told the left-leaning New York Times they find themselves holding their breath during Biden’s speaking engagements to see if he makes it to the end without a blunder.

You have to wonder about the timing of this piece. Is it related to the Hunter Biden 4CHAN leak?

Someday, Maybe, A Canadian Reckoning

According to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his chief accountant Chrystia Freeland, runaway inflation and the recession it announces are something of a godsend. Price increases, she said in a recent address, are “a reminder of why climate action is so important, and why we have to work…faster towards a green economy.” The benefits, according to this authority, are clear: More green energy, lower prices. The claim is so fatuous as to induce intellectual migraine.

Americans in the crosshairs of Communist China’s spy game

As a long-time dissident and California-based opponent of the Chinese government, Arthur Liu – the father of US Olympic figure skater Alyssa Liu – was not particularly surprised when a phone call came from the FBI.

“They told me that the Chinese government had sent spies over to the Bay Area to gather me and my daughter’s passport information,” he told the BBC. “I wouldn’t say I was shocked. But I thought to myself, ‘wow’ – they’re taking this very seriously.”

At first, Mr Liu didn’t make the connection: A “fishy” phone call from a man claiming to be from the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, claiming to be conducting a “preparedness check” ahead of his daughter’s trip to the Beijing Winter Olympics in February 2022.

Biden in crisis mode as specter of one-term Carter haunts White House

At an Independence Day barbecue, crises cascading around him, Joe Biden declared that he had “never been more optimistic about America than I am today”.

Of course there were challenges, grave ones, the US president told the military families assembled on the south lawn of the White House. And the nation had a troubling history of taking “giant steps forward” and then a “few steps backwards”, he acknowledged.

Call Your Local ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’ Council What it Really Is: Commie Thought Police

Your employer’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) department is affirmative action 2.0, a dystopian commie attempt by far-left sitzpinklers to control what you say and how you think, and it is dubiously cloaked in virtue. After all, what could be nobler than a country that embraces diversity and equality equity, not to mention one that includes all people, right?

Inside a Uvalde Classroom: A Taunting Gunman and 78 Minutes of Terror

A teacher who survived the mass shooting recounts the harrowing attack and desperate wait for a rescue.

UVALDE, Texas — The first shots came from the hallway outside the classroom. Arnulfo Reyes, a fourth-grade teacher at Robb Elementary School, quickly remembered the active shooter training he had rehearsed so many times and told his 11 students to lie under their desks and “act like you are asleep.”

A black shadow appeared at one of the classroom doors and a plume of fire flared from the tip of what looked like a rifle. Mr. Reyes felt a bullet piercing his arm, tearing off a chunk of flesh and bone. Then the gunman turned on the children. The rampage was so brutal and so swift, the teacher said, that he did not hear a single whimper from them as their bodies were shredded.

Biden’s claim that a 10-year-old rape victim was forced to travel across state lines to get an abortion is called into question by the Washington Post as it emerges the doctor behind it is a prominent abortion advocate

President Joe Biden’s claim that a 10-year-old rape victim was forced to travel across state lines to get an abortion after last month’s Roe Vs. Wade ruling has come into question, after a Washington Post fact-checker found the story to be largely unsubstantiated.

It has also emerged that the doctor who first shared the story with an Indiana-based news outlet is a prominent abortion advocate – placing further doubt on its credibility.

The one-source story was provided to an Indiana news outlet by Indianapolis obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Caitlin Bernard last week. She claimed a child abuse doctor in Ohio contacted her about the case seeking aid from the doctor.

Ben Woodfinden: Poilievre’s Conservative critics don’t understand their own party

Poilievre is going to win, and the Conservative party is going to be fine

The Conservative leadership race is over. Barring something extremely unexpected, Pierre Poilievre will be the next leader of the Conservative party, and he may well be the next prime minister. Patrick Brown’s disqualification only cements this outcome. The victory is likely to be a big one as well, with a first ballot win a serious possibility. This will give Poilievre a plausible mandate to reshape the party in his image, something that the two most recent leaders, Andrew Scheer and Erin O’Toole, did not possess and something likely to invite apoplectic warnings of many of Canada’s bien pensants, including some within the Conservative party.

I think the CPC braintrust knows the party. They just don’t like the people in it.

Brussels: Capital of Europe or Eurabia?

While Lieven Verstraete, an acclaimed Belgian journalist who hosts the program, “De Zevende Dag” (“The Seventh Day”), was recently interviewing two members of the Green Party, he raised the issue of immigration and called Brussels “the perfect example of a city whose neighborhoods are conquered one by one by newcomers”.

Newcomers? Conquered?

“How?” replied Nadia Naji, a politician of Molenbeek’s Green party.

“Well,” Verstraete, visibly uncomfortable, tried to explain, “more and more people with immigrant origins come to live there and claim their place. Do you feel Belgian in Molenbeek?”

A few hours after the broadcast, he apologized.

“In twenty years”, the French newspaper Le Figaro predicted about Brussels, “the European capital will be Muslim”.

4chan users claim to have hacked Hunter Biden’s iCloud account

The contents of Hunter Biden’s iCloud account have allegedly been hacked by users of the 4chan community, who posted screenshots purported to be from his phone and computer on the website’s main political forum late Saturday night.

Administrators on the image board moved quickly in the hours after the content was posted to pull down threads that included materials from the alleged leak, leaving many on the site, which is known for featuring some of the most salacious subject matter on the internet, furious.
