Brandon Strikes Again! Gas Prices Double on Sleepy Joe’s Watch

Forget talk of World War III. His real war is the War on Oil.

President Joe Biden, this nation’s Sadist-in-Chief, has achieved a new milestone in his campaign to inflict pain on the American people.

On Friday, the national-average cost per gallon of regular gasoline had zoomed from $2.37 at Biden’s inauguration to $4.76 — up a nickel since Thursday and a whopping 100.8 percent since Grandpa Lunchbucket took power.

So, if Biden has done nothing else, he has steered gas prices to double where they were when he said, “So help me God” on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol.

Same grift in Canada.

Wokeness, the Highest Stage of Managerialism

Well-educated progressives wield institutional power to impose a new political and social order.

It can be easy to forget how new our political and culture-war conflicts are. Ten years ago, critical race theory was something you’d encounter only online or in academic settings, Democratic politicians were still talking about civil unions for homosexual couples, and the media and federal government were busy pointing out how far America had come in repairing the broken race relations of the past. Today, little remains of that old order. Just how fast has this transformation unfolded? Consider a simple measure of how frequently the word “racism” appears in the nation’s four largest newspapers: after staying basically constant from the 1970s to 2010, its usage explodes around 2012, with the Washington Post and the New York Times leading the charge.

Woke was made for grifters.

Iran: Towards a Summer of Discontent

For the past two weeks a large number of Iranians, perhaps hundreds of thousands, have been taking part in protest marches in more than 100 cities across Iran to vent their anger against a system that they consider to be corrupt, incompetent and oppressive.

At the same time, the government is facing the threat of massive bread shortages later this year amid reports that wheat stocks have fallen to a record low while talks to purchase from Russia 6.2 million tons of wheat, more than half of Iran’s annual consumption, seem to have stalled.

How a 15-year-old Ukrainian drone pilot helped destroy a Russian army column

KYIV, Ukraine — As the Russian army made its move on Kyiv in late February, the Ukrainian defences enlisted a drone pilot to pinpoint a column of military vehicles approaching the capital from the west.

The civilian who took on the task sent his drone up in a field near his house and found the Russian convoy. Ukrainian artillery destroyed it and the drone operator was quietly saluted as a hero.

It’s ‘high time’ that authorities revise definition of ‘fully vaccinated’: experts

As more evidence emerges on the efficacy of third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, experts say it’s high time public health authorities revise the definition of “fully vaccinated” to include a booster dose.

While most SARS-CoV-2 vaccines available in Canada were initially developed and tested to include two doses – with the exception of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine – a primary course should instead consist of three doses, said Colin Furness, an expert in infectious disease epidemiology from the University of Toronto.

Trudeau calls China’s actions toward Canadian planes ‘provocative and irresponsible’

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has called the actions of Chinese pilots toward Canadian planes taking part in a United Nations mission “irresponsible and provocative.”

Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Trudeau condemned the actions of China toward Canadian planes that were taking part in a multilateral UN mission over the Pacific Ocean to enforce sanctions against North Korea.

“China’s actions are irresponsible and provocative and we will continue to register strongly that they are putting people at risk while at the same time not respecting decisions by the UN,” the prime minister said.

Carson Jerema: Justin Trudeau, the troll farm prime minister

The Liberal party has been replaced by a troll farm. All governments to some extent curate their policies based on what would be politically beneficial and what would score points off the opposition. For Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals, however, this has become pretty much all they are doing.

From gun control to abortion rights to vaccine mandates, no underlying purpose is being served, no policy goals are being truly met. The only aims are to rile up an increasingly hard-left base and to provoke the Conservatives into opposing these policies so that the Liberals can paint them as ogres.

I have long said Trudeau’s tweets are a propaganda exercise, deliberate falsehoods designed to humiliate as per Dalrymple’s explanation.

Musk threatens to walk away from Twitter deal

DETROIT (AP) — Elon Musk is threatening to walk away from his $44 billion bid to buy Twitter, accusing the company of refusing to give him information about its spam bot and fake accounts.

Lawyers for the Tesla and SpaceX CEO made the threat in a letter to Twitter dated Monday, and Twitter disclosed it in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The letter says Musk has repeatedly asked for the information since May 9, about a month after his offer to buy the company, so he could evaluate how many of the company’s 229 million accounts are fake.

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has said that Twitter has consistently estimated that fewer than 5% of its accounts are fake. But Musk has disputed that, contending in a May tweet that 20% or more are bogus.

SOS: Is The Pentagon Losing the U.S. to China?

Last July, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, William J. Burns, said that China is “the single biggest geopolitical challenge that the United States faces far out into the 21st century” and that “the main arena for competition and rivalry with China” is technology.

The Pentagon has been facing massive criticism for being unable properly, if at all, to meet that very technological challenge. “The U.S. government is not prepared to defend the United States in the coming artificial intelligence (AI) era,” the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence warned in March 2021, while also saying that China was on its way to become the world’s top AI superpower.
