Twitter Canada Hasn’t Changed A Bit

Elon Musk reveals Twitter takeover driven by hatred of ‘woke mind virus that infected trans daughter’

Elon Musk was driven to take over Twitter after fearing his transgender daughter had been infected with a “woke mind virus” incubated on the social media platform.

Mr Musk had initially rushed to embrace the news when Jenna, formally known as Xavier, transitioned at age 16.

But when she later cut him out of her life entirely, he knew he had a fight on his hands, a battle which would eventually culminate in the world’s richest man buying Twitter for $44 billion.

Elon is offering us a raw deal with X

He and his team have taken to poetry to convince us that a little censorship really isn’t so bad

Elon Musk, the owner of X — once known as Twitter, may she rest in peace — is making Americans an offer that they must refuse. When he purchased the social media platform last year for a whopping $44 billion, he led us to believe he was doing it in order to save free speech, an ideal in regard to which he said was an absolutist. Today, what he is actually offering instead is a censorship regime slightly more friendly to the right than his predecessor. It’s a recipe for disaster.

We Should Stop Believing Elon Musk Is Committed To Free Speech At Twitter

Many on the right heralded Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter as a major victory in the culture war. But that celebration appears premature. On June 1, Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing wrote that Twitter had scuttled a deal for the conservative multimedia outlet to screen its massively popular documentary “What Is A Woman?” on the social media site.

Meet the woman who’s going to restore Twitter to its shittier self

Who is Linda Yaccarino, Twitter’s ‘superwoman’?

Ad sales executive Linda Yaccarino commands widespread respect in the industry. Will that be enough at Twitter?

Why would someone want to leave a plum post as head of advertising at one of America’s biggest media companies to take a chance leading Twitter, a social media platform with a spotty business record and an infamously mercurial owner?

Marketing veteran Lou Paskalis, who has known Linda Yaccarino for more than two decades, has a theory.

“She’s someone who really likes to be superwoman,” he says, describing her as fierce, shrewd and ambitious. She would jump at the chance, he says, “to step in… and say, ‘I can fix this'”.

I bet she approves of the Bud Light and Target groomer campaigns.

Twitter Files Show Platform Let Foreign Gov’t Dictate Who to Censor

Many shocking reports of Australia’s draconian COVID-19 lockdown measures have come out over the last couple of years but the latest “Twitter Files Extra” show how far those measures went online.

The new supplemental Twitter files centered around the “The Covid Censorship Requests of Australia’s Department of Home Affairs (DHA)” and reportedly helped confirm a report by The Australian. Andrew Lowenthal, author of the Network Affects Substack, tweeted that The Twitter Files team “found 18 DHA emails, collectively requesting 222 tweets be removed.”

NO THANKS: New Twitter CEO Once Pushed Elon Musk to Reinstate Orwellian ‘Influence Council’

Twitter owner Elon Musk’s newly appointed World Economic Forum-tied CEO for the platform recently tried to corner him into committing to reinstalling some of the same Orwellian censorship structures of the old regime. Gee, what a shocker (sarcasm).

Twitter went from great to very shitty to less shitty and now it looks to be headed back to very shitty.

Bad birdie! Twitter-faithful reject Musk’s CEO

Twitter users are a resilient bunch of customers. They spent the best part of a decade living under the increasingly totalitarian regime of Big Tech and its ‘community guidelines’. Entire systems of language trickery had to be created to navigate the censorial landscape where dissenters were not only assaulted by shadowy algorithms, users were erased. Never was this practice more depraved than Twitter’s removal of Big Pharma victims for the crime of reporting their injuries to the world.

The return of bad Twitter.

Elon Musk makes bombshell claim that US govt could access Twitter users’ private messages

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has claimed the U.S. government had access to users private messages on Twitter.

In a wide-ranging interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, set to be broadcast on Monday and Tuesday night, Musk made the startling claims noting how he was shocked to learn that the government had full access to private communications on the platform.

The billionaire tycoon told Carlson how unaware of the fact until he joined the company and expressed surprise at the degree to which government agencies were able to monitor social media.

I wonder if this is true of Canada.

‘Twitter Files’ Reporter Matt Taibbi Leaves Twitter in Protest Over Throttling of Substack Links

Journalist Matt Taibbi, who broke the sensational “Twitter Files” story that exposed the inner workings of the social media giant’s censorship machine, has announced he’s leaving Twitter in protest of apparent changes that have made the platform unusable for him.

Taibbi, who posts his articles on Substack and is one of the most popular contributors on the platform, made the announcement in a post titled “The Craziest Friday Ever” and a series of tweets, in which he said that he had just learned that Substack links were being blocked on Twitter.
