Why, for the UN, Is One Mosque Massacre So Much Worse than Countless Church Massacres?

The United Nations recently named March 15 as “international day to combat Islamophobia.” That date was chosen because it witnessed one of the worst terror attacks on Muslims: on March 15, 2019, an armed Australian, Brenton Tarrant, entered two mosques in New Zealand and opened fire on unarmed and helpless Muslim worshippers; 51 were killed and 40 wounded.
Not only has this incident been widely condemned throughout the West — and rightfully so. It has also caused the UN to single out Islam as needing special protection.
North Carolina preschool teacher is caught using non-approved LGBTQ flashcards depicting a pregnant man to teach three and four-year-olds about colors

A North Carolina preschool teacher has been caught using unapproved LGBTQ flash cards – which include images of a pregnant man – to teach 3- and 4-year-old children colors.
The teacher, who has not been identified, was found out to have used them on the preschoolers after a constituent of State Representative Erin Pare contacted the Republican about the cards at Ballantine Elementary School in Wake County.
Paré contacted the principal of the school to see if she was aware of the use of the cards, which showcase LGBTQ relationships and also go through what each of the colors in the Pride Flag mean.
New handgun restrictions expected in federal firearm-control bill today

… Though a national ban is not anticipated in the bill, the government could take steps in that direction by phasing out handgun ownership with a cap on the number of firearm licences, outlawing the importation and manufacture of new handguns, or enacting tougher storage rules.

American comedian’s racist remarks spark walkout at Winnipeg comedy show
… Tyler Schultz, the club’s general manager and booker, says he was there for Vos’s set that evening and confirmed he heard some of the racist comments toward the Indigenous women.
Schultz said he saw Vos becoming frustrated with them, as Schultz says the women were being loud and disrupting the show.
You don’t learn the victims were being jerks until about 2/3’s of the way through the article. That is so Gay!
Drone footage of Ukrainian soldier’s final heroic stand against Russian troops in trench

Drone footage shows troops desperately holding off the enemy’s advance with fighting compared to the First World War
A lone Ukrainian soldier has been filmed making a last stand against a squad of Russian soldiers clearing out a trench system in the Donbas.
In four minutes of raw and desperate fighting filmed by drone, the soldier holds off the enemy long enough to give his unit precious minutes to escape.
The infantryman, at times mere inches from the Russian troops, fires shots around the corner of his position in a cut-out from the main trench and at one point hurls back a grenade moments before it explodes.

Mona Lisa left unharmed but smeared in cream in climate protest stunt

PARIS, May 30 (Reuters) – The Mona Lisa was left shaken but unharmed on Sunday when a visitor to the Louvre tried to smash the glass protecting the world’s most famous painting before smearing cream across its surface in an apparent climate-related publicity stunt.
The perpetrator was a man disguised as an old lady who jumped out of a wheelchair before attacking the glass.
Pierre Poilievre ‘could be vulnerable,’ pollster says, as support softens for frontrunner

Three weeks ago, Charles Vincent drove to a local hotel in Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil, Que., to meet Pierre Poilievre. Vincent ended up buying a membership and even took a picture with the Ottawa-area MP, whom he first heard of during the trucker convoy last January.
But after this week’s French debate, Vincent isn’t so sure he will be voting for Poilievre.
Full disclosure I will likely be voting PPC. Poilievre is fun but there is really no difference between the CPC & LPC.
The truth about the Russia Hoax is oozing out at the Sussmann trial

Certain lies are diabolically powerful. They are a malicious mixture of half-truths, the charismatic personality of the liar, and the work of unseen forces making the lie desirable. The Scriptures reveal that in “later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons”

Why Baltimore didn’t defund the police

Performative politics won’t help victims of crime
In Baltimore the protests that followed the death of George Floyd felt less like an eruption and more like a mellow reprisal of events that had taken place five years earlier. The death of Freddie Gray in police custody had sparked protests that ended in injuries to both protestors and police, mass arrests, widespread property damage, arson, and no significant policy changes. The 2020 protests, in contrast, were less spontaneous, largely directed by civic leaders, and far less violent. Out of their ashes emerged a young mayoral candidate named Brandon Scott, who was running on a progressive platform of public safety.
Stop telling Ukraine to give up

It is not the West’s place to demand that Ukraine cede territory to Russia.
The dynamic of the war in Ukraine appears to have shifted in Russia’s favour. After retreating from the outskirts of Kyiv in April, the Russian army has since refocused its efforts on taking swathes of eastern Ukraine. To that end, the Kremlin has poured thousands of troops and hardware into the Donbas region, laying siege to key cities in its two provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk. Ukrainian officials have admitted this week that Russia now has the ‘upper hand’ in the Donbas. Serhiy Haidai, governor of Luhansk, estimated that as little as five per cent of his province was still under Ukrainian control – down from about 10 per cent a week ago.
The green agenda is not about saving the planet, but gaining wealth and power

A FEW days ago we published Ben Pile’s alarming analysis of the true scale of the government’s net zero and green agenda on inflation and the cost of living crisis. Today we are republishing the film he made which illustrates and explains how misguided energy and climate policies have been contributing to this accelerating economic crisis for years.
There Have Been 13 Mass School Shootings Since 1966, Not 27 This Year

Don’t conflate mass shootings with school shootings.
For many people, the Uvalde, Texas, mass shooting—which claimed the lives of at least 19 children and two adults—seemed all the more horrible after they learned it was the 27th school shooting so far this year. That fact makes it harder to view Uvalde as any kind of isolated incident.
The ADL Murder Report That Cried ‘White Supremacist’

In May 2021, two members of the Family Values, a white supremacist prison gang, allegedly killed a member of the rival Southwest Honkeys prison gang over a longstanding beef. Three months later, a New Jersey man who had vandalized synagogues and distributed neo-Nazi pamphlets strangled his wife.
On the surface, the crimes would appear to have little more in common than their brutality. But the Anti-Defamation League includes these murders by white men of other whites in its tally of right-wing and white supremacist murders in its report, “Murder & Extremism in the United States in 2021.”
“In 2021, white supremacists were responsible for more murders than any other type of extremist; in many years, they comprised an outright majority of the extremist murders that year,” the report said. “Indeed, over the past 10 years, white supremacists have committed 244 (55%) of the 443 killings that the ADL (COE) has documented.”
