Eastern Europe shows the power of a Christian society

The strength of community in Poland and Ukraine is best explained by faith

Plainchant is surely the proper music of old churches. As the voices rise and echo in the stone spaces, at 11 o’clock on Good Friday night, a line of ordinary Krakowians of all ages queue patiently down the aisle to take their turn kneeling on the flagstones before a small crucifix. Each person spends some minutes in prayer.

Islamic Scholar Anjem Choudary blames Britain for ‘radicalising’ David Amess killer Ali Harbi Ali – after terrorist watched his extremist videos

Hate preacher Anjem Choudary has blamed Britain’s foreign policy in Syria and Iraq for radicalising David Amess’ killer.

Ali Harbi Ali, 26, was handed a rare whole life tariff after being convicted of murder and preparing terrorist acts on Monday by jurors who spent just 18 minutes deliberating.

The Islamic State fanatic carried out his attack at the backbench Conservative MP’s constituency surgery in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, on October 15 last year.

The twilight of globalism

This anti-democratic ideology is unravelling before our eyes.

Until recently, politicians, academics and journalists assumed that globalisation had rendered the nation state redundant. As they saw it, superior transnational institutions had displaced national forms of governance. And superior globalist values had superseded narrow-minded nationalist sentiments.

But Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has upended such assumptions. Globalisation is now fast unravelling before our eyes. Foreign Affairs asked last month if this is ‘the end of globalisation?’. Larry Fink, the head of BlackRock, one of the world’s largest investment corporations, warns that the war ‘has put an end to the globalisation we have experienced over the past three decades’.

But while the war in Ukraine may have exposed and exacerbated the unravelling of globalisation, it did not cause it. The integration of different parts of the world into global systems has been slowing down for some time. Indeed, global capitalism has still not recovered from the financial crisis, with world trade relative to global GDP falling by five per cent between 2008 and 2019.

Pope Francis: ‘Through My Racism, Through My Most Grievous Racism’

Is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez now the pope’s advisor on immigration? “It is true,” said Pope Francis Friday, “refugees are subdivided. There’s first class, second class, skin colour, [if] they come from a developed country [or] one that is not developed. We are racists, we are racists. And this is bad.” The claim that Western countries are racist in their approach to immigration is not original to the pontiff: AOC said it back in early March. But the key question, both then and now, is largely overlooked yet quite simple: is it true?

Hunter Biden’s Laptops Scandal Exposes How Communist Influence Operations Work

Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop revealed much information, including Hunter’s shady business dealings in Ukraine and China, raising questions about the extent to which President Biden was involved in his son’s business activities. This ongoing scandal lifted the curtain of foreign governments’ covert influence campaigns in the United States. No government has conducted such influence campaigns more effectively than Communist China.

To understand China’s influence campaigns on foreign soil, one has to get familiar with a secretive Chinese government agency, the United Front Work Department (UFWD), or United Front. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) established UFWD in the 1930s, aiming to recruit famous intellectuals, writers, teachers, students, publishers, and business leaders who were not necessarily Communists.

Can You Normalize Queerness Without Pedophilia?

You know how when you point out that they’re teaching Critical Race Theory in schools, but liberals protest that they’re doing no such thing — but this is deception by technicality? The truth is that they are teaching all kinds of things based on CRT, but not the direct thing itself. It’s like teaching an art class how to paint the light as it strikes the surface of a lake, but denying that you’re teaching anything about the sun.

When ‘white’ becomes an epithet

Conservatives must rebut the equation between whiteness and evil

Since the 1980s, conservatives have warned about the academic left’s “deconstruction” of Western culture. The fetishization of race and sex was shrinking our inheritance to a cartoonish morality play, they alleged. Academic identity politics would not stay put; its foundational conceits would migrate into the world at large.

Such warnings had no effect. Corporations, law firms, banks, tech companies, publishers, museums, orchestras and theater troupes now routinely denounce the alleged racial oppression that is said to be endemic to the United States in particular, and to the West more broadly.

If Russia’s atrocities are genocide, world leaders have a duty to act. Will they?

Almost three decades after the horrors of the Rwandan genocide, Roméo Dallaire says he worries too little has changed.

“The West has learned absolutely nothing,” said the former United Nations force commander in an interview with The West Block‘s Mercedes Stephenson.

“What the international community and the developed world in particular has discovered is that it doesn’t want to take risks.”

No.

I am very confused about Canada’s place in this conflict.

I agree we should provide support to Ukraine but I am deeply disturbed by Trudeau’s handlers efforts to game this conflict in order to further their anti-human green-scam agenda.

Did we buy gas from the Nazis in WW II? No? Well our Euro allies buy gas from Putin, and lots of it.

Ukraine receives about a 100 million a month from Putin to transport that gas via pipelines that crisscross the state.

I can’t figure out if that makes us complicit or the good guy. Too nuanced for me.

Islamist Academics and Activists Shill for Jailed Jihadists They deserve anathematization.

Zahra Billoo – Islamist skank

“If you are supporting our prisoners, you are supporting some of the best people on the planet,” stated Coalition for Civil Freedoms (CCF) prisoner and family support coordinator Nada Dibas during a recent webinar on “Ramadan Behind Bars.”

These “best people” — CCF’s clients — include terrorists in American prisons. Yet to Dibas and panelists like the Islamist, slavery-defending Georgetown University professor Jonathan Brown, they’re victims of America’s Islamophobia.

GUNTER: Our political elites have become hysterically fearful of regular Canadians

For as long as there have been elites, those elites have worried about the potentially disruptive influence of populism.

The first Neanderthal clan leader probably warned his mate about the rumblings he been hearing from the cave dwellers further down the mountain. “Their demand that we all have a say in where we hunt sabretooths is a threat to our social order!”

Woke Arizona education leaders are blasted after they mistook African-American DJ at school fundraiser for white man in BLACKFACE and wrote scathing complaints

Two Arizona public school leaders who work on ‘diversity and inclusion’ efforts accused a black DJ at a school fundraiser of being in blackface, drawing condemnation from activists and the event’s organizer.

The PTA at Hopi Elementary in Phoenix hired the DJ to entertain the crowd at its largest fundraiser of the year on April 9, which drew in over $300,000 for ‘essential programs and services’ that are not paid for by the Scottsdale Unified School District.

But some found an issue with Kim Koko Hunter’s skin tone, according to the Arizona Daily Independent.
