Trudeau Insults ‘Uniquely Unhelpful’ in Convincing Canadians to Get Vaccinated: Medical Expert

The federal government has to develop more target-oriented policies to convince those who still haven’t received a COVID-19 vaccine to get their shots, while engaging in name-calling, as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau did, is “uniquely unhelpful” to that end, a medical expert told parliamentarians.

Trudeau used derogatory terms to describe unvaccinated Canadians, saying they are often racists, science-deniers, and misogynists during an interview on the French-language program “La semaine des 4 Julie” on Sept. 16, 2021. At a press conference days earlier, he called protesters demonstrating against federal vaccine policies “anti-vaxxer mobs.”

I’m baffled that many are baffled by the Taliban reneging pledge on girls’ education

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — A news presenter on Afghanistan’s TOLO TV wept as he read the announcement. Images of girls crying after being turned back from school flooded social media. Aid groups and many others remained baffled.

The Taliban have so far refused to explain their sudden decision to renege on the pledge to allow girls to go to school beyond sixth grade. Schools were supposed to reopen to older girls on Wednesday, the start of the new school year.

What part of “Islam” don’t you understand?

Leftist Chickens Come Home to Roost for Amazon

One of the problems with living in America in the 21st century is that it is, well, America in the 21st century. But one of the great things about living in the Decline and Fall of the West is that one is always entertained.

In case you missed it, the organizers of Seattle Pride Week/Month/Year/Millennium/Epoch/Whatever have ousted Amazon as a sponsor. The reason? Like many businesses, Amazon supposedly gave money to politicians opposed to LGBTQRETIBONCYONAGKZX&UFDR#!$%^&* +/- @ policies.

Russia signals scaled-back war aims, Ukrainians advance near Kyiv

BUCHA/LVIV, Ukraine, March 25 (Reuters) – Moscow signalled on Friday it was scaling back its ambitions in Ukraine to focus on territory claimed by Russian-backed separatists as Ukrainian forces went on the offensive to recapture towns on the outskirts of the capital Kyiv.

In the first big sign that Western sanctions on Moscow were impacting investment from China, sources said state-run Sinopec Group, Asia’s biggest oil refiner, halted talks on a petrochemical investment and a venture to market Russian gas.

Elon Musk and the Chinese Temptation

Elon Musk has fans all over the ideological spectrum. People on the Left love him for popularizing electric cars with his Tesla company, or maybe for openly smoking pot on podcaster Joe Rogan’s show. Conservatives love him for his entrepreneurial dash and penchant for standing up to politicians and Big Tech censorship of the internet. And everyone loves Musk for responding to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and severing of its communications links by making his Starlink satellite broadband internet service available in Ukraine and donating Starlink terminals to Ukrainians. The Starlink connectivity, according to one report, may even be helping armed Ukrainian drones target Russian military vehicles.

Less is known about Musk’s business dealings in Communist China, but that might be about to change.

Chechen and Tatar Muslims take up arms to fight for Ukraine

Chechen warlord and Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov boasted of his soldiers’ part in Russia’s war in Ukraine. But many Chechen and Tatar Muslims are defending Ukraine and settling scores with the rulers of their homelands.

The number of these fighters deployed to Ukraine is unknown, but their reputation for brutality and ruthlessness in enforcing domestic rule is well-known, and their presence has raised memories of grisly urban combat and guerilla fighting from the Chechen wars in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, known as one of the most loyal allies of President Vladimir Putin, announced on his Telegram channels that his men would be fighting in the “hottest hotspots in Ukraine.”

Unifor whistleblower reported Jerry Dias after being offered $25K, Star learns

Chris MacDonald, national assistant to former Unifor president Jerry Dias, was the whistleblower who reported an alleged kickback scandal after being passed over for an endorsement in the upcoming election for union president, the Star has learned.

Dias, who was under “significant stress” after being forced to choose between two “close friends” to endorse as his successor, was consuming heavy amounts of drugs and alcohol when he allegedly took $50,000 from a COVID-19 rapid test supplier that he promoted to Unifor employers, according to a psychiatric assessment of the long-time labour leader.

Dias subsequently gave $25,000 to MacDonald, who he did not endorse, and stated that the money was from the test supplier, according to the union.

Trudeau Carbon Tax Theft: Most pay more in carbon taxes than we get in rebates

GOLDSTEIN: Most of us pay more in carbon taxes than we get in rebates

Ever since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau introduced his federal carbon tax, the Liberals have been dining out on their claim that 80% of Canadian households where it applies receive more in carbon tax rebates than they pay in carbon taxes.

“Our plan will … leave 8 out of 10 families better off …,” then environment minister Catherine McKenna tweeted on April 1, 2019 when Trudeau’s carbon tax came into effect.

US volunteers reach the frontline of the war in Ukraine

US volunteers have been seen in video footage from the frontlines in Ukraine, suggesting that the international legion fighting alongside the Ukrainian army is playing an increasingly active role.

Two video clips featuring US fighters appeared on Twitter on Thursday: one showing an American in combat gear posing in front of the burnt remains of what he said was a Russian tank. Off camera, a Ukrainian shouts “Welcome to America!” and the American repeats the phrase.

Immigration Fraud: Growing number of ‘Somalis’ who may not be Somalis face possible deportation over false documents, enablers say

Kaif Ali is only 23, but she’s spent the last five years putting her life back together — starting with escaping war in Somalia, to putting her faith in a smuggler to find safety, to landing in Canada and learning English, studying nursing and becoming a front-line health-care worker.

Now the life she’s built could soon fall apart — again.

That’s because the Canadian government now claims Ali is not, in fact, Somali. And she’s not alone.

EU signs US gas deal to curb reliance on Russia

The US and the EU have announced a major deal on liquified natural gas, in an attempt to reduce Europe’s reliance on Russian energy.

The agreement will see the US provide the EU with at least 15 billion additional cubic metres of the fuel – known as LNG – by the end of the year.

The bloc has already said it will cut Russian gas use in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Russia currently supplies about 40% of the EU’s gas needs.

I bet Canada was considered an unreliable source of energy thanks to the idiot in Ottawa.

Ukraine war: How reliant is the world on Russia for oil and gas?

The US and EU have agreed a deal for the US to supply liquified natural gas to help reduce Europe’s reliance on Russian energy.

It follows restrictions on oil and gas imports from Russia after it invaded Ukraine in February.

What about Canada Justin?
