Cowardly Trudeau Flees Home Amidst Convoy Protest

As Prime Minister of Canada, the “popular” Justin Trudeau (seen being pelted by rocks here) has led the charge ushering in some of the most restrictive measures in the world. In the mold of other former crown dependencies like New Zealand and Australia, doing anything in Canada without proof of vaccination is impossible. Everything from getting on domestic flight or entering a department store is verboten for the unvaxxed untermensch in Trudeau’s dystopian phantasmagoria.

The hysteria about ‘right-wing comedy’

The comedy world is apparently terrified by a little diversity of opinion.

As a regular contributor to spiked, and a comedian often regarded, darkly, as ‘right-wing’, I long ago learned to adopt the creed of Millwall Football Club – ‘No one likes us, we don’t care’.

Still, I must admit that events of last week, concerning my association not with this august organ, but with those relative newcomers to national opprobrium and pariah status among the bien pensant, GB News, left me a little rattled.

Rex Murphy: Should Justin Trudeau be deciding what views are ‘acceptable’?

A couple of years ago Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was sending valentines to our noble truckers for keeping Canadians fed through their deliveries. Yet a couple of days before this weekend’s gathering of the aforementioned truckers, who have travelled half of Canada in midwinter, from both directions, to express their concerns and feelings in a peaceful protest, he shoved them to the margins, declaring them a “fringe” and their views “unacceptable.”

Kansas mom charged with leading all-female ISIS battalion in Syria

A former Kansas woman and mother of five has been charged with joining ISIS and leading an all-female battalion of fighters in Syria, the Department of Justice announced Saturday.

Allison Fluke-Ekren, 42, allegedly trained her own children to use AK-47s and suicide belts, translated speeches made by ISIS leaders, and conspired to plan an attack on an American college campus, the DOJ said.

Fluke-Ekren was appointed in 2016 to lead the Khatiba Nusaybah, an all-female military unit of the Islamic State, in Raqqa, Syria, according to a criminal complaint filed in 2019 and unsealed Saturday.

CBC creates faux outrage at inability to Doxx anonymous donors to Freedom Convoy – Speculates Russia’s dark hand at work

Critics call for new rules for online fundraisers after protest convoy takes anonymous donations

Critics are calling on the federal government to introduce new rules for online fundraising campaigns after a fundraiser for this weekend’s protest in Ottawa against vaccine mandates raised millions of dollars — in part from anonymous donors and people using fictitious names.

Green Party parliamentary leader Elizabeth May said the GoFundMe fundraiser for the protest convoy raises concerns about whether such campaigns could be used by big businesses or foreign state actors to circumvent Canada’s political financing rules.

“If this isn’t worrying, it certainly exposes a possibility that is very worrying, which is that you can be not a political organization, not registered with Elections Canada but find the right kind of dog whistle and put up a GoFundMe campaign,” she said.

Elizabeth May? A Yankee who along with US NGO funding has worked for decades to undermine Canada’s Oil & Gas industry is worried about “foreign interference”. The gall.

Heart of Scold

Neil Young’s censorious crusade against Joe Rogan exemplifies the Left’s increasing hostility to free speech.

Earlier this week, legendary Canadian-American musician Neil Young laid out an ultimatum to the streaming music service Spotify. “I want you to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform,” he wrote in an open letter he posted on his website. “They can have [Joe] Rogan or Young. Not both.”

Neil Young hates oil workers having jobs as well.

Freedom Convoy: Why Canadian truckers are protesting in Ottawa

After a week-long drive across Canada, a convoy of big rigs has arrived in the national capital to protest vaccine mandates and Covid-19 measures. Organisers insist it will be peaceful, but police say they’re prepared for trouble.

It’s been dubbed the Freedom Convoy, and it’s got the country talking.

The movement was sparked by a vaccine mandate for truckers crossing the US-Canada border, implemented by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government earlier this month.

Upset with the new measure that would require unvaccinated Canadian truckers crossing the two nations’ boundary to quarantine once they’ve returned home, a loose coalition of truckers and conservative groups began to organise the cross-country drive that began in western Canada.

Money, power and prestige: what a Prince Andrew trial would mean for New York

… The prospect of a jury trial follows the prince’s attorney’s decision on Wednesday to file legal papers strongly resisting sexual abuse claims brought against him by his accuser, Virginia Giuffre. In the papers, Andrew’s legal team denied the allegations and then sought to blame Giuffre for being partly responsible for her abuse. That move has been criticized as “cruel” and “inappropriate” by legal experts.

Can the President Constitutionally Restrict His Nomination to a Black Woman?

Imagine a president announcing that since no Muslim has ever been appointed to the Supreme Court, he pledges to nominate the first Muslim justice. That would undoubtedly be unconstitutional since Article VI of the Constitution specifies that “no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.” The spirit of that prohibition — coupled with the 14th and 19th amendments—would certainly seem to apply to race and gender as well. It is wrong, and perhaps unconstitutional, for a president to impose a racial or gender test for nomination to the Supreme Court. If a president were to announce that he intended to nominate only a white male, constitutional scholars would rightfully object. So, what is the difference?

Crown no longer seeking adult sentence for Junior Jihadi who pleaded guilty to terror charges

He’s all better now.

Prosecutors say they are no longer seeking an adult sentence for a teenager who pleaded guilty to terrorism-related charges including possession of explosive material and counselling someone to detonate a bomb.

In a virtual hearing today, the Crown said it is instead making a joint submission with the defence for the maximum youth sentence of three years, with “stringent conditions.”

Bill Maher: “It’s Not Me Who’s Changed, It’s The Left”; They’ve Gone Mental And Made Me A “Hero” To FOX News

HBO host Bill Maher responded to critics that say he makes fun of the left too much, saying they didn’t use to give him this much material to work with. In a monologue titled “How The Left Was Lost,” Maher said Democrats “have become a parody of themselves” and that if people are laughing that means it rings true.

Pregnant New Zealand journalist is forced to turn to the Taliban for help because of Jacinda Ardern’s draconian Covid laws

A pregnant New Zealand journalist stranded in Afghanistan has turned to the Taliban for help after being unable to return to her homeland because of Jacinda Ardern’s draconian Covid curbs.

Charlotte Bellis, a broadcast journalist, said she has repeatedly tried to return to New Zealand since she learned she was pregnant in September.

She has submitted 59 documents to New Zealand officials in Afghanistan in an attempt to secure an emergency return home, but her bid was turned down and led her to turn to the Taliban, one of the world’s most oppressive regimes, for sympathy.
