‘Dozens of ISIS fighters’ freed in Syrian jail break

Islamic State has attacked a Syrian prison housing its suspected members and a military base in Iraq in near-simultaneous deadly operations that have revived fears of the terror group’s resurgence.

IS has yet to comment on the attacks and there is no indication that these were coordinated, but according to analysts they strongly suggest IS is trying to boost its ranks and arsenal in an attempt to reorganise across both countries.

The attack in Syria killed at least 23 Kurdish security forces and set “dozens of IS fighters” free, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The federal government said the loan announced today is meant to go toward “economic resilience and governance reforms.” The terms of the loan are to be negotiated with the government of President Volodomyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

Woke California Governor Gavin Newsom likened the site of LA freight train package thefts to a shanty town during a photo-op Thursday.

Attending a clean-up at the ravaged rail depot, the Democrat lawmaker exclaimed: ‘It looked like a third world country, these images, the drone images that were on the nightly news.

‘I took off the suit and tie and said I’m coming because I couldn’t take it,’ he added. ‘I can’t turn on the news anymore. What the hell is going on?’

Toronto Police Services First Black Female Superintendent charged with misconduct over alleged cheating in promotional exams

A high-ranking Toronto police officer has been charged with professional misconduct under Ontario’s Police Services Act — the second city police superintendent to be facing serious allegations of wrongdoing in a week.

Supt. Stacy Clarke is charged with seven counts of misconduct, according to a Toronto police document released Friday, which shows upcoming appearances at the force’s disciplinary tribunal.

The charges come less than two weeks after Toronto police launched an investigation into “impropriety” in its recent promotional process, including allegations that a senior officer provided a select number of candidates for the rank of sergeant the answers to an all-important exam, sources told the Star.

If Trump Had Greenlighted Russia To Invade Ukraine Like Biden Just Did, He’d Be Accused Of Corruption

President Biden was actually operating from a coherent perspective in discussing Russia and Ukraine in Wednesday’s press conference: In every instance, as you go line-for-line in the transcript, his foreign policy—and the fact that he announced it to the world—is one where Russia has leverage over Biden and the president has a personal vendetta against the current Ukrainian government.

Court documents filed Wednesday in support of Shand’s arrest allege one of the people spent a significant amount of money to come to Canada with a fraudulent student visa.

Ontario sewage tests indicates COVID-19 may have plateaued but levels still high, experts say

Results from facilities testing sewage for COVID-19 across Ontario indicate that infection rates may have plateaued, yet levels of the Omicron variant appear to remain high, experts say.

Andrea Kirkwood, an associate professor of biological science at Ontario Tech University who is one of a number of researchers involved in the wastewater COVID-19 surveillance project, said at the beginning of the month, all the sites they were monitoring “spiked really high.”

Levels subsequently came down from the peak, but researchers are still detecting a higher virus signal with the Omicron variant compared to previous variants, she said.

China’s impossible COVID statistics

As the latest wave of COVID cases surges in the West, all is quiet in the East. It has always been quiet. Millions have died from the coronavirus epidemic as it sweeps the world. However, few consider it strange that the nation where the virus first appeared amid an entirely unprotected public of 1.3 billion people should record a mere 4,636 fatalities over the past three years.

Colleyville and the evils of identity politics

Why the woke set doesn’t care about this act of racist holy war.

Isn’t it remarkable that all those woke blowhards and self-righteous TikTokers who were raging about JK Rowling’s ‘racist’ goblins a couple of weeks ago have had nothing to say about the violent hostage-taking of four actual Jews in Texas? You remember the goblin controversy. It was a new low – there’s one every week – for the Rowling-hating set.

The rise of these Soros-backed prosecutors has coincided with a massive surge in murder and crime in many Democrat-run cities, including many where these prosecutors have implemented radical policies toward policing and incarceration.
