Belarus threatens to cut off gas to EU in border row

Belarus’s leader has threatened to cut off gas supplies to Europe if sanctions are imposed over an escalating migrant crisis at the country’s border.

Thousands of people are at the border with Poland, enduring freezing conditions in the hope of crossing into the European Union.

EU officials have accused Belarus of provoking the crisis to undermine its security, an allegation it denies.

In retaliation, the EU is reportedly planning a fresh package of sanctions.

Chicago store sees “cash mob” help after latest smash and grab attack

A clothing store on the South Side of Chicago (the baddest part of town) ran into some trouble recently. Thieves came along during the night, smashed out the store’s windows, and ran off with all of the merchandise they could haul out. Of course, this is such a common occurrence in the Windy City these days that it’s almost not worth mentioning. But in this case, something happened in response that could almost inspire a bit of hope in the city’s beleaguered citizens and business owners.

BLM leader threatens ‘riots, fire, bloodshed’ in NYC if Eric Adams gets tough on crime

Hope the Rittenhouse jurors see this.

A Black Lives Matter leader vowed there’ll be “riots,” “fire” and “bloodshed” if Mayor-elect Eric Adams follows through with his promise to bring back plainclothes anti-crime cops to battle New York’s surge in violent crimes.

New York BLM co-founder Hawk Newsome debated the plan for a return to tougher policing with Adams during a contentious sit-down at Brooklyn Borough Hall Wednesday that was livestreamed on Instagram.

BLM is a racist terrorist organization.

Biden’s America: Illegal Aliens Worth More than U.S. Soldiers

The Biden administration is considering payments of $450,000 to illegal aliens – per person – for “immigrant families that were separated during the Trump administration” after illegal entering into the United States. The payments would be part of a settlement of a lawsuit brought by the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of illegal alien families. The total settlement amount is reported to be at least $1 billion of federal taxpayer funds.

Democrats Are Profoundly Committed to Criminal Justice Reform — For Everyone But Their Enemies

Principles of rehabilitative justice, reform of the carceral state, and liberalized criminal justice evaporate when Democrats demand harsh prison for their political adversaries.

The 2020 protest movement that erupted after the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis and the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha became one of the most sustained and consequential in modern U.S. history. Though there seems to be a somewhat bizarre effort underway by its advocates to insist that this movement accomplished nothing — why are some claiming that radical cultural and political changes are happening? — it is demonstrably true that, as intended, that the movement transformed discourse and policy around multiple issues from race, to policing, to gender identity, to the teaching of history, and fostered an ongoing effort for still-greater changes.

Defending Freedom: Vets, Experts on Whether Canadians Would Fight Again

World War II concluded more than 75 years ago, and although there have been regional conflicts where Canadian soldiers have served since then, there’s been no war that tested the willingness of all young Canadians to go to the front lines to defend freedom if called upon.

Retired Lt.-Col. John Selkirk, who spent decades in the reserves and also taught at the Royal Military College of Canada, expressed confidence that Canada would respond to a contemporary threat.

I am not so optimistic, Canada is a 5th column now.

Lawyer for ‘Rust’ armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed claims she was ‘framed’

Needs fashion advisor.

An attorney for the armorer on the set of “Rust” said that his client is being “framed” for the tragic death that occurred when Alec Baldwin shot the film’s cinematographer.

The lawyer for Hannah Gutierrez-Reed insisted on Wednesday that “sabotage” and a “tampered” crime scene were evidence of the frame job for the shooting last month on the New Mexico film set.

The statement came a day after Gutierrez-Reed met with Santa Fe County Deputy Sheriffs about the double shooting. The cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, was killed and director Joel Souza injured when Baldwin fired a “hot” prop gun that was supposed to be loaded with blanks.

Doug Ford Bad Man – Won’t give rebates to ‘millionaires’ to buy EVs says latest steaming pile of shit from CBC propagandists

Doug Ford won’t give rebates to ‘millionaires’ to buy EVs, even though sales lag in Ontario

Premier Doug Ford is dismissing the idea of bringing back a rebate to encourage Ontarians to buy more electric vehicles, even though the province is lagging behind much of the country in sales.

“I’m not going to give rebates to guys that are buying $100,000 cars — millionaires,” he said Wednesday, even though his own government says it’s counting on rising sales of those electric vehicles (EVs) to help bring down greenhouse gas emissions.

In 2018, Ford’s government cancelled the Electric and Hydrogen Vehicle Incentive Program, brought in by the Liberals under Kathleen Wynne.

Good for Doug.

Ontario reported its highest single-day count of new COVID-19 cases in more than one month on Thursday, sending the rolling average of new cases well above 500 per day.

The province reported 642 new cases Thursday along with four additional deaths.

Douglas Todd: Ottawa creates COVID vaccination chaos for travelling Canadians

A certificate showing that you have been fully vaccinated in Canada is good enough to get you through German airport customs and into the 27 countries of the European Union.

But a Canadian vaccination certificate is not good enough to permit you to fly home to Canada.

Rittenhouse Trial: Kyle Survives Abusive Cross-Examination

Today was the seventh day of the trial by which ADA Thomas Binger is seeking to have Kyle Rittenhouse convicted and sentenced to life in prison for having shot three men (two fatally) the night of August 25, 2020, in Kenosha WI, when the city was suffering a tsunami of rioting, looting, and arson following the lawful shooting of a knife-wielding Jacob Blake by Kenosha police officers.

Today the trial heard testimony from the defendant himself, Kyle Rittenhouse—a high-stakes bet by the defense, and one that always has risk of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
