Ooooooogggg!

Nasty oral infection has returned, I first encountered it immediately after my bout with Bell’s Palsy.

It’s back and my face looks like bad collagen injections.

Anyway will see a Doctor today.

I am still blogging and will continue to do so. I am just napping strategically.

Treasury Board minister silent on details of plan to shrink federal public service

OTTAWA – Treasury Board President Shafqat Ali says the federal government hasn’t worked out details of planned public service cuts and efforts to boost the amount of time public servants spend in the office.

Ali said in a recent interview with The Canadian Press the government is still finalizing the workforce adjustment and return-to-office plans.

Hundreds of federal employees have been warned they may lose their jobs as the government moves to shrink the public service, and many departments have told staff news on job cuts will come in the new year.

Carney won’t do anything to antagonize the civil service voting bloc.

Spielberg Uses Schindler’s List Money to Fund Anti-Israel Protests

“Let Gaza live,” a mob of anti-Israel protesters screamed, brandishing signs falsely accusing the Jewish State of “ethnic cleansing”, “starving Gaza” and genocide while illegally blocking traffic outside the Israeli consulate in Midtown Manhattan.

The only thing more disgusting than the ugly spectacle, which had been timed around a Hamas famine propaganda campaign over the summer, was that one of the hate groups behind the anti-Israel protest, which ended in arrests, was funded by proceeds from Schindler’s List.

Terry Newman: Police won’t say why nothing done about vile antisemitic posts

Back in July, a Toronto man filed a complaint about antisemitic posts on X. Almost six months later, he’s still waiting for the results of the investigation from Toronto’s Hate Crime Unit. Meanwhile, the antisemitic posts continue. Six months is too long. Six days is too long. Heck, six hours could be too long when it comes to radical extremists.

The EU’s $90billion blood money will simply delay Ukraine’s inevitable defeat

IT IS the season of peace on earth and goodwill to all. The Holy Land is indeed more tranquil than it’s been for a while, although it’s just one murderous outrage from yet another battle in the series of wars that have continued since the United Nations created the State of Israel.

Then there is Ukraine, now approaching the fifth year of its war with Russia, another conflict where an irresistible force has encountered an immovable object. The search for a solution is as elusive as it is in the Middle East. Until one can be found the body count, destruction and hatred continue to rise.

The creeping threat of Islamic blasphemy laws

In June 1976, fortnightly newspaper Gay News featured a now infamous poem, ‘The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name’. It described a Roman soldier making love to Jesus after his crucifixion, accompanied by a sexually explicit illustration. In July the following year, thanks to a legal case brought by conservative activist Mary Whitehouse, Gay News editor Denis Lemon was found guilty of blasphemous libel and handed a suspended prison sentence.

In Canada’s defence: re-establishing a true militia

Instead of disarming law-abiding gun owners across Canada, why not offer them the opportunity to enlist in a supplementary reserve by taking an oath of allegiance and registering with a militia regiment at the local armoury?

OTTAWA—The senior leadership of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of National Defence are presently scrambling to formulate a plan that would lead to the creation of a Supplementary Reserve.

The projected number of this force of citizen soldiers is to be a whopping 300,000 volunteers. The basic training would be a one-week course, presumably involving some measure of small arms weapon training and basic vehicle driving skills.

According to the initial plan, the Supplementary Reserve would have more lax standards of physical fitness than the regular force and the active reserves. The kicker is that there is no plan to provide these supplementary reservists with uniforms.

Trump casually confirms first land strike on plant in Venezuela: ‘We knocked that out’

Donald Trump gave a nonchalant confirmation of the first US land strike in Venezuela during a radio interview last week that received little attention.

The President said that the Christmas Eve strike was on a facility ‘where the ship comes from’ – seemingly referencing the origination location of the alleged drug vessels that the US military has been targeting in the Caribbean and Atlantic over the last three months.

Speaking on WABC on December 26, Trump made the bombshell suggestion that US forces have already started conducting land operations in Venezuela.

For a European Homeland

Europhiles often meet national consciousness with incomprehension and disdain. To them, it is a backward-looking and irrational obstacle on the path toward an enlightened and ‘inclusive’ European order. A united Europe, they argue, should have at its core the transcendence of national ideas. However noble, this approach is doomed to fail. Europe’s history shows that its sociopolitical structures are deeply intertwined with national identities, and that political unification requires a shared sense of belonging.

Charlie Kirk suspect Tyler Robinson’s secret hearing to be made public after judge’s order

A Utah judge ordered a secret hearing be made public in the criminal case against Tyler Robinson for allegedly assassinating conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk.

Judge Tony Graf announced during a roughly 20-minute hearing held over video that a transcript for an Oct. 24 closed-door hearing in Robinson’s case will be released with certain redactions by the end of the day Monday. He will also be releasing the audio of that hearing but said it could take two weeks for that to be made public.

Why a one-seat majority might be the worst-case scenario for federal Liberals

OTTAWA — During the Liberals’ Dec. 11 Christmas party just hours after Conservative MP Michael Ma crossed the floor to the government, soirée hosts James Maloney and Mona Fortier joked to ecstatic attendees that their favourite number was “172”.

That’s the minimum number of MPs a party needs to get a simple majority in the House of Commons. With Ma’s crossing, the Liberals suddenly find themselves one seat away from their favourite number.
