Big Tech’s censorship partnership with the left establishment is expanding in ominous directions. The Silicon Valley giants have now partnered with the hyper-partisan Anti-Defamation League to help them decide what content Americans get to read online — and even which Americans get to transfer money digitally.

This year brought news of an effort by Google in association with the ADL and a British firm called Moonshot CVE to “redirect” users away from sites that promote what they considered to be “violent extremism.” Pop-up ads would send readers to other content providers, who would supposedly expose and debunk the haters.

When the people of Iran rose up by the millions against the Iranian regime in 2009, the Obama administration stayed abhorrently silent. People on the streets in Iran began chanting, “Obama, Obama, are you with them [the ruling mullahs] or with us?” The Obama administration offered no support. The administration’s dismissal of their agony not only enabled the mullahs brutally to crush the demonstrations with impunity; the mullahs were even rewarded with a deal that would enable them to have legitimate nuclear weapons capability down the road and billions of dollars thrown in.

Rather than pledging to tackle violent crime in Liverpool, the Merseyside Police force have released a video in which officers promised to “promote pronoun awareness” for the city’s LGBT Pride weekend.

While Pride Month was celebrated in June already, Liverpool is putting on a virtual LGBT Pride celebration this weekend, sponsored by the increasingly woke Barclays Bank.

Common sense is also lost in Liverpool.

SolarWinds: Top US prosecutors hit by suspected Russian hack

Nearly 30 top US prosecutors had their office’s email accounts hacked during a major breach last year, the Justice Department says.

The attack on users of the software SolarWinds – which the US has blamed on Russia – was the worst-ever cyber-espionage attack on the US government.

The department says 27 US attorneys had at least one office computer hacked.

That has raised fears the hackers may have accessed sensitive information, including the names of informants.

Two teenage women appeared in court today charged with sexual assaulting a man by slapping his bottom on a night out.

Scarlett Bareham and Hannah Phillips, both 19, entered no pleas to the charges which relate to an incident at a popular nightlife district in Portsmouth.

The slap is said to have occurred in the Guildhall Walk area of Portsmouth late last summer, which is home to a number of nightclubs.

Trudeau government ‘buy back’ firearms plan may cost up to $6.7 billion

In May 2020, Prime Minister Trudeau issued an Order-In-Council immediately outlawing more than 1,500 makes and models of “military-style assault weapons,” which would be confiscated in due course. According to the Parliamentary Budget Officer’s recent estimate, it will cost between $47 million and $756 million to compensate or “buy back” now-banned firearms from legal owners. The wide range and higher estimate contrasts with estimates made in February by federal Public Safety Minister Bill Blair who said compensation costs would be between $300 million and $400 million.

International critics have accused Javad Foroughi, who won gold in the 10-meter pistol on Saturday, of being a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a powerful paramilitary organization considered by the United States as a terrorist group. The IOC has challenged critics to show proof of his alleged ties to the IRGC, but it’s still unclear if any such evidence would surface.
