Former Israel ambassador: “There’s no real solution for Gaza”

Oh, there are solutions, but they’re unlikely to get applied — because they’re all worse than the status quo or completely unrealistic. Michael Oren, former Israeli ambassador to the US, told CBS News’ Major Garrett that he sees “no real solution for Gaza” in a podcast this week. The situation has settled into a deadly stasis, thanks in large part to Hamas’ grip on — and integration into — the civilian population in the enclave…

The Media’s COVID Failure

In dismissing the possibility that the virus leaked from a lab, journalists betrayed their mission to seek the truth.

In February 2020, Senator Tom Cotton, Republican of Arkansas, asked a provocative question: Was there some relationship between COVID-19 emerging in the Chinese city of Wuhan and the fact that there’s a biochemical lab in the city that specializes in studying coronaviruses? Was it possible that this lab was studying an animal that carried the virus and failed to properly secure it?

“We don’t have evidence that this disease originated there,” Cotton said of the lab, “but because of China’s duplicity and dishonesty from the beginning, we need to at least ask the question to see what the evidence says, and China right now is not giving evidence on that question at all.”

Corbella: Trudeau’s shameful support of the Chinese regime threatens Canada

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s inability to see the malevolence of China’s Communist regime appears to be as strong as ever and his response to questions about that threat are as shameful and troubling as ever.

Recently, Alberta’s advanced education minister, Demetrios Nicolaides, sent a letter to four of the province’s universities asking them to suspend new or renewed partnerships with organizations linked with China or the Chinese Communist Party.

Diane Francis: A country run by amateurs who hire more amateurs

An investment guru once told me that when a public company provides a jet, cars and drivers for its executives, and spends a fortune on consultants, it’s time to short the stock. The same applies to Canada, a nation state with lousy leadership and soaring consultant fees, because few, if any, of our federal political leaders know what they’re doing.

Maher: It‘s Not Progressive to Side with Hamas, I‘m Frustrated ‘There Was No One on Liberal Media‘ to Defend Israel

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher stated that he was frustrated during the recent conflict between Israel and Hamas “because there was no one on liberal media to defend Israel,” and that he’s amazed that “progressives think that they’re being progressive” by siding with Hamas and “would run screaming to Tel Aviv if they had to live in Gaza for one day.”

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Memorial Day Meant Something

What happened to celebrating the heroism of our military men?

On Memorial Day weekend, we celebrate courage, specifically that of the men who died fighting for the greatest country in the history of the world. Once upon a time in Hollywood, such bravery was taken for granted. After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, even the most popular male movie stars quit their lucrative studio contracts to join unknown men in uniform, dirt, and combat.

How London Bridge terrorist Usman Khan was a ‘poster boy’ for rehab who played the system… and took experts for fools

When Usman Khan was convicted for being part of a plot to bomb the London Stock Exchange, the judge was under no illusion about the serious danger he posed to society.

Mr Justice Wilkie singled him out from other extremists on trial because he was clearly a devious and scheming man dedicated to his extremist ideology.

The judge said that even after serving a lengthy custodial sentence, Khan would continue to pose a ‘significant risk to the public’ because he was ‘working towards a more ambitious and more serious jihadist agenda’.

Turkey’s Collateral Damage: Its Jews

In a 2015 study, the Anti-Defamation League found that 35 million out of an adult population of 49 million Turks, or 71%, harbored antisemitic attitudes, compared to an average 49% in the entire Muslim world. Statistically speaking, a 22 percentage point difference from the average is a significant deviation. In Turkey’s case, the deviation is also empirically visible.

In this year’s Middle East clashes, as in the past several years, Islamist President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Turkey globally championed the Palestinian cause. A jogger could be fined for breach of lockdown rules but the police welcomed thousands of protesters in front of Israeli diplomatic missions in Istanbul and Ankara.

100th anniversary of Tulsa Race Massacre event CANCELED over last-minute money demands

The main event commemorating the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot, featuring singer John Legend and politician Stacey Abrams, had to be canceled because lawyers for the survivors demanded more money than previously agreed, organizers said.

The ‘Remember and Rise’ ceremony was canceled on Friday, with the organizers blaming “unexpected circumstances with entertainers and speakers.”

Some activists were quick to pin the blame on threats of “white terrorism,” pointing to reports of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) bulletin alleging possible violence at the event.

Virginia County’s Schools Warned to Revoke Teacher’s Suspension for Declining to Use Students’ Preferred Pronouns

In Virginia, Loudoun County Public Schools officials were warned Friday to revoke their suspension of a teacher for declining to use students’ preferred pronouns or face further legal action.

Tanner Cross, who taught at Leesburg Elementary School, was suspended after speaking publicly May 26 during a school board meeting in opposition to the system’s proposed policy that teachers must use the pronouns preferred by students rather than the pronouns consistent with their biological sex.

IRGC General Urges Israelis to Pack Their Bags and ‘Look for Living Place in US or Europe’

“The Zionist regime should pack its travelling bags and look for a living place in the US, Alaska, or Europe”, the general said, adding that “Mossad’s threats and the option of war against Iran, especially after their incapability against the Palestinian resistance” hold no water.
