Partially vaccinated Canadians can socialize outdoors this summer, Tam says

Canadians who have been vaccinated with one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine can socialize with close family and friends outdoors over the summer months, Canada’s chief public health officer said today.

With the vaccine supply ramping up, virtually all Canadians will have access to at least one vaccine dose by June. Dr. Theresa Tam said that extra layer of protection will allow some of the more stringent social distancing measures to be relaxed — but Canadians must continue to avoid indoor gatherings altogether until more people are fully vaccinated.

‘Beavers are just being beavers’: friction grows between Canadians and animals

OMG! That beaver is giving the Hitler salute!

At first, the theft of wooden fence posts seemed like a crime of opportunity – amid soaring lumber costs, stacks of wood have gone missing from construction sites across North America.

But officers in the Canadian prairie community of Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan, soon identified the culprit: local beavers had stolen the posts to build their dam.

‘Extremists Recruit Openly Without Resistance’: Swedish Researcher Warns of Growth in Islamism

Despite Daesh’s* self-proclaimed “caliphate” having fallen, the threat of Islamism is far from over, Sweden’s leading terrorism researcher Magnus Ranstorp of the National Defence College has warned.

Furthermore, the security threat against Sweden has increased and is expected to further spike in the next few years, national broadcaster SVT reported.

According to Ranstorp, the current situation, where “extremists recruit openly without resistance”, is largely a product of the authorities’ ham-handed approach and lack of timely measures.

How To Assure Repetition of Hamas Rocket Attacks

There is one sure-fire way of guaranteeing that Hamas will continue to employ terrorism against Israel and that other terrorist groups will increase the use of terrorism against civilians around the world. That sure-fire way is to reward the terrorists who employ this tactic and to punish their intended victims who try to fight back. This is one of the most important lessons to be learned from the recent events in Gaza, but it is not a new lesson. In 2002, in a book entitled Why Terrorism Works, I made a point that is even more relevant today than it was then:

“The real root cause of terrorism is that it is successful — terrorists have consistently benefited from their terrorist acts. Terrorism will persist as long as it continues to work for those who use it, as long as the international community rewards it, as it has been doing for the past thirty-five years.”

Philadelphia incinerated remains of police bombing victims without telling families

The public outcry over the handling of human remains retrieved from the ashes of the deadly 1985 bombing of a Black liberation organization in Philadelphia dramatically escalated on Thursday, with the revelation that the bones of an undisclosed number of Move victims were incinerated and dumped by the city without the knowledge or permission of living relatives.

In a bombshell disclosure, the mayor of Philadelphia, Jim Kenney, announced that he had fired the city’s health commissioner, Thomas Farley. The mayor said that Farley had told him earlier this week that several years ago he had become aware that remains of victims of the Move bombing – in which 11 people died – were still in the possession of the city’s medical examiner’s office.

The Palestinians were killed in clashes with the IDF during protests throughout the West Bank. Another Palestinian was killed after he tried stabbing an Israeli soldier near the West Bank city of Ramallah. The soldier shot the attacker.

Two MLAs kicked out of Alberta UCP caucus hours after call for Premier Jason Kenney to resign

EDMONTON — Hours after Todd Loewen, a northern Alberta United Conservative, called on Premier Jason Kenney to resign, his colleagues ejected him from the caucus, along with Drew Barnes, another maverick MLA, from Medicine Hat.

The drama began in the early hours Thursday, when Loewen, a veteran backbencher, posted a letter to Facebook that argued “many Albertans, including myself, no longer have confidence in your (Kenney’s) leadership.”

Woe is Harry! Blasts dad Charles’ parenting – He passed on ‘pain and suffering’

Tortured Youth Harry

The Prince Harry saga has gone from reality show to “Game of Thrones.”

The renegade duke took his war with his family to a new level Thursday — as he claimed in a new interview that Prince Charles handed down a “cycle” of “genetic pain and suffering” to him, which he and wife Meghan Markle moved to Los Angeles to break.

I guess Daddy will be cutting off the allowance now.

Covid Gulag: Canada unlikely to follow U.S. approach to easing COVID-19 masking rules

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer need to wear masks outdoors and in most indoor settings, but one of Canada’s top public health officials suggests a different approach would be taken here.

“We have more of what I’d call a collective or community approach,” Dr. Howard Njoo, deputy chief public health officer, told a briefing in Ottawa on Thursday. “So it’s not about what an individual should be able to do with one or two doses.”

Excuse me Doctor, but F&ck You.

All major summer events, including CNE, Caribbean Carnival, cancelled again this year, city says

The city has confirmed that all major events in Toronto this summer, including the Caribbean Carnival and the Canadian National Exhibition, will once again be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In March, the city cancelled all events and permits through to June 30 and today’s announcement means events typically held in Toronto in July, August, and over the Labour Day weekend will also not proceed in person.

IDF deception leads to massive aerial assault on Hamas’s ‘Metro’ of weapons storage & transport tunnels

… The problem was that there was no ground invasion. Yes, the IDF had deployed troops along the border but they did not cross into Gaza. What did happen was in the air where 160 aircraft had assembled for a massive bombing run over the Gaza Strip. Their target was what the IDF called Hamas’s “Metro”, an underground network of tunnels where Hamas stored its weapons and used to move throughout Gaza hidden from Israeli aircraft.

The “Metro” had been built in the years after the 2014 war in the Gaza Strip, also known in Israel as Operation Protective Edge. It was a network of dozens of kilometers of tunnels that crisscrossed Gaza and provided safety from Israeli aerial incursions.

Sneaky!

The usual interfaith outreach.

International Energy Agency report shows that green energy transition is a fantasy because of dependence on key rare minerals

A prestigious intergovernmental organization created by the world’s advanced economies is pointing out the bottleneck in the plans to substitute so-called green energy for hydrocarbon-based energy: the availability of key minerals necessary for battery storage, wind farms, solar panels, and other gizmos necessary for the switchover. Simply put: the world can’t provide the quantity of those minerals that would be necessary, and the environmental and social impact of trying to mine them in sufficient quantities would be devastating.

The cure, in other words, is worse than the disease.

Is Christianity the anti-green religion?

Is Christianity the anti-green religion?

… The Bible can be read for passages that appear to justify our impact upon the natural world. Most obviously there is the Biblical passage (Genesis 1:28), to which Kingsnorth alludes, where God says to Adam and Eve: “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Over-population, exploitation, habitat destruction and human arrogance. It’s all in there.

Except that it’s not.

How a fake whistleblower peddled lies about Florida’s COVID deaths

This is a story about Rebekah Jones, a former dashboard manager at the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), who has single-handedly managed to convince millions of Americans that Gov. Ron DeSantis has been fudging the state’s COVID-19 data.

When I write “single-handedly,” I mean it, for Jones is not one of the people who have advanced this conspiracy theory but rather is the person who has advanced this conspiracy theory. It has been repeated by others, sure: by partisans across the internet, by unscrupulous Florida Democrats such as Nikki Fried and Charlie Crist, and on television, by MSNBC in particular. But it flows from a single place: Rebekah Jones. To understand that is to understand the whole game. This is about Jones, and Jones alone. If she falls, it falls.

Biden’s Handlers Get the Israeli/Palestinian Conflict They Wanted – Once again, the Dems embolden – and enable – evil.

Biden’s Handlers Get the Israeli/Palestinian Conflict They Wanted – Once again, the Dems embolden – and enable – evil.

On his new Save America website, former President Trump stated the obvious that the elites wish us to overlook: “When I was in office we were known as the Peace Presidency, because Israel’s adversaries knew that the United States stood strongly with Israel and there would be swift retribution if Israel was attacked. Under Biden, the world is getting more violent and more unstable because Biden’s weakness and lack of support for Israel is leading to new attacks on our allies.”
