Lead homicide detective in Barry and Honey Sherman case did not go to crime scene on Old Colony Road for four days

The 911 call from 50 Old Colony Rd. brought police to the home in the Bayview Avenue and Highway 401 area of Toronto. The bodies of billionaires Barry and Honey Sherman had been discovered by a realtor.

Firefighters and paramedics arrived first, then police at 11:54 a.m. — 10 minutes after the 911 call on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. The suspicious nature of the apparently staged scene — two dead bodies, faces purple indicating they had been dead for a while, discovered in the basement swimming pool room with belts around their necks — prompted uniformed officers to call in homicide, the specialized unit that handles suspicious deaths.

This is a very strange whodunnit.

Boo Hoo! Jailed ISIS terrorists who turned traitor on Canada fear their children are being judged on the actions of their parents

Boo Hoo! Jailed ISIS terrorists who turned traitor on Canada fear their children are being judged on the actions of their parents

They are four young women you might meet in any average Canadian setting: at a university lecture, in an elevator at work or picking their kids up from school.

But they’re also being held in a detention camp for the families of ISIS militants on the other side of the world. They come from different parts of Canada and the narratives that drew them toward the world of the Islamic State are also different.

What they do have in common, beyond their nationality and the polite friendliness that can come with it, is the fear that their children are now bound to their own fate, facing life in a detention camp in Syria with no sense of a horizon.

Their children should not be considered citizens of Canada.

Strict three-week lockdown needed to stop explosive COVID-19 variant growth, Ontario science table says

TORONTO — A three-week lockdown in certain regions of the province is necessary to blunt the explosive growth of the variants of concern, Ontario’s COVID-19 scientific advisory table says.

Dr. Peter Juni, the scientific director of the advisory table, believes Ontario could see between 2,500 to 5,000 new cases of COVID-19 per day in a few weeks, if the current trends continue.

It never ends.

Through the looking glass with Ursula in EUland

EU technocrats have put stopping the spread of populism before vaccinating Europeans.

Here is the latest statement on the EU Covid-19 vaccines crisis, from the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen: ‘If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?’

Why are universities so keen to support prostitution?

The discovery that the University of Leicester has created a ‘Student Sex Work Toolkit’ shouldn’t surprise anyone. The kit itself is comprehensive, and could presumably be used as a helpful ‘how-to’ guide to get into the sex trade: the legality of sex acts is listed in a handy chart, with ‘selling underwear online for sexual gratification’, ‘escorting’ and ‘sugaring’ all placed in the legal category.

LILLEY: End the doctatorship, elected politicians must be in charge

When all of this is said and done — when COVID-19 and the restrictions brought in by politicians no longer dictate our days — there’s one major change we need to make to our public health laws and regulations.

We need to strip public health doctors of some of their arbitrary powers to ensure we never live under a doctatorship again.

US Intelligence Just Released Another Rigged Report On Russian Election Meddling — This Time In 2020

U.S. intelligence agencies just issued yet another post-presidential election analysis claiming Russia meddled in the election to help Donald Trump defeat his Democratic opponent. The report also cited limited efforts by Iran and China to defeat Trump. But it appears that just like a similar intelligence report issued after the 2016 presidential election, there are good reasons to believe the new report was rigged to hurt Trump.

White House says it’s ‘carefully’ considering vaccine requests from Canada and Mexico

A White House spokesperson says the United States is carefully considering requests to eventually ship that country’s excess supplies of COVID-19 vaccines across the border to its neighbours in Canada and Mexico.

But she cautions that nothing is confirmed at this point.

The comments come amid mounting anticipation of what might happen to the stockpile of doses in the U.S. after that country has enough supply for all its residents, likely by late May.

Sounds more NO than Yes.

Health officials investigating ‘white woman only’ job posting by Canadian hospital

Canadian health officials are investigating a Quebec hospital over a recent job posting asking for a candidate with “white skin” to help with a patient who refused service from people of color.

handful of emails sent out by Saint-Eustache Hospital in Montreal in November, obtained by La Presse, describe the patient in question as “difficult” and ask that “white women only” apply to be their carer.

In this day and age you best be careful what you wish for.

FUREY: My son just turned three — all he knows are lockdowns

FUREY: My son just turned three — all he knows are lockdowns

Last year we didn’t get up to much for my son’s second birthday. Ontario hadn’t yet gone into total lockdown by that point in March, but the schools had already shut down and it was clear there was more to come.

Oh well, we thought. He’s only two. He doesn’t know what he’s missing, so he’ll be content with a few presents and cake. We’ll make sure to do something extra next year.

Rex Murphy: This isn’t just ‘a political scandal.’ It’s a WE scandal

Rex Murphy: This isn’t just ‘a political scandal.’ It’s a WE scandal

‘This is a political scandal for the government, not for WE Charity.’ — Marc Kielburger at Monday’s House of Commons ethics committee hearing.

So, Marc, it’s a scandal you say, but just for the government, not for WE. I presume you mean the present government led by Justin Trudeau. A scandal for the Liberal government.
