The Minneapolis “Carjacking Crackdown” Was A “Disappointment”

One thing we’ve learned over the past year as surging violence has been tearing up many American cities is that when you defund your police or reduce their numbers, incidents of carjacking rise proportionally. It’s an easy crime to pull off, particularly for gang members, and the profits are allegedly handsome. Also, they frequently enlist underage members to commit the crimes, knowing that they will be back out on the street in short order. That was the case in Minneapolis over the winter.

What School Shutdowns Have Wrought

What School Shutdowns Have Wrought

Parents are exploring new educational options for a post-pandemic America.

Though Covid-related restrictions are easing across the country, fewer than half of America’s students are back in school full-time, according to Burbio, a website tracking school reopenings. A look at the national map shows that the most populous state, California, is also the most locked down, while the third-most populous, Florida, is almost completely back to normal. In October 2020, Brown University reported that politics and teachers’ union strength best explain how school boards approached reopening. In a September 2020 study, researchers Corey DeAngelis and Christos Makridis found that school districts in places with strong teachers’ unions were much less likely to offer full-time, in-person instruction in the fall.

DHS Officials Warned Biden Transition Team About Revoking Trump Border Policies, Former Top Adviser Says

DHS Officials Warned Biden Transition Team About Revoking Trump Border Policies, Former Top Adviser Says

Career officials from the Department of Homeland Security warned President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team that revoking President Donald Trump’s border policies would have “catastrophic consequences,” according to Stephen Miller, who served as Trump’s top adviser on immigration issues at the White House.

“Biden’s transition team was warned by career DHS officials that terminating our proven border security measures would lead to catastrophic consequences… they ignored those warnings and voluntarily unleashed chaos,” Miller wrote on Twitter on March 17.

“Xi Jinping Will Not Stop until He Is Stopped”: A Conversation with Gordon G. Chang

“We see Xi’s new demands in his intransigent position going into Thursday’s meeting in Anchorage. China’s top diplomat, Yang Jiechi, and his subordinate, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, look as if they are going to Alaska not to engage in meaningful discussion, but to lecture Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and to dictate the terms of the relationship going forward.”

Deported to Pakistan: Does death await Ahmadis?

The Ahmad family lives in uncertainty. They have no German residency permit. The father, a qualified engineer, is not allowed to work in Germany.

They live in a refugee shelter but they can expect a deportation order any day. They have recently learned that the next collective deportation to Pakistan will take place on March 17 — and they are afraid they will be on that flight.

Back in Pakistan, they say, their lives would be in danger.

The Ahmadi are the Stockholm Syndrome sect of Islam and were declared non-Muslims in 1974 by former Pak PM Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

Like Christians and Jews they’re killed because Islam commands they be killed.

My pet peeve is the insistence by many in the MSM to use the Ahmadi as show pony examples of the true peaceful nature of Islam.

Biden Admin Halts Navy Operations, Orders Soldiers to Undergo ‘Chilling’ Stand-Down Training

Recently, my Navy unit held an “extremism stand-down” training that was required of all Department of Defense personnel, as mandated by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin here. According to Vice Admiral John B. Nowell, Jr, the purpose of the training was “to ensure service members and civilian personnel clearly understand the damaging effects of extremism and begin developing more effective, sustainable ways to eliminate the corrosive impacts extremist activity can have on our Force.”

Denmark plans to limit ‘non-western’ residents in disadvantaged areas to prevent “emergence of religious and cultural parallel societies”

Denmark.

Denmark has announced plans to crack down further on disadvantaged neighbourhoods by reducing the number of “non-western” residents, scrapping the controversial term “ghetto” in its proposed legislation.

In the bill – a review of existing legislation on combatting “parallel societies” – the interior ministry proposed that the share of residents of “non-western” origin in each neighbourhood be limited to a maximum of 30% within 10 years.

…The interior minister, Kaare Dybvad Bek, said in a statement that too many non-western foreigners in one area “increases the risk of an emergence of religious and cultural parallel societies”.

They know what’s happened in France.

German professor under police protection for not wanting to compare anti-Semitism with Islamophobia

Professor Klaus Kinzler

“Fascists in our lecture halls! Dismiss Professor Kinzler! Islamophobia kills,” read the large banners hanging at the University of Grenoble. Activists from the French student union Unef also posted the slogans online.

Five months after the brutal murder of history teacher Samuel Paty, being accused of Islamophobia is not something that is taken lightly in France. Following a debate that sparked outrage at the Grenoble Institute of Political Studies, two professors are under police protection.

What is happening with “unaccompanied minors” at the southern US border?

As of 14 March, US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents were holding more than 13,000 unaccompanied children in custody, according to US media.

The US is bracing for a 20-year high in numbers of migrants arriving at the southern border, including thousands of children who are being kept in government-run detention facilities that critics say are inhumane.

A pandemic health order means that most adults and families are being summarily turned away, but the Biden administration has allowed unaccompanied children under the age of 18 to enter the US while their claims are processed.

The record-breaking influx of children being held in these camps has led US officials to send in the Federal Emergency Management Agency – a government organisation that normally deals with major emergencies like natural disasters.

It’s OK now Joe told them not to come just yet.

Canadian group echoes China’s party line on Uyghurs after getting $160,000 in public funds

A Toronto-based community group that has received more than $160,000 in federal funding has again issued a statement echoing China’s official line on a contentious issue, this time condemning Parliament’s recent Uyghur-genocide motion.

A prominent Canadian advocate for the Uyghur people noted that his own group has sought for years to obtain Ottawa’s financial help, with no success.

GUNTER: Is Justin Trudeau the lost Kielburger triplet?

GUNTER: Is Justin Trudeau the lost Kielburger triplet?

Is it possible our prime minister, Justin Trudeau, is in reality the lost Kielburger triplet?

From time to time on Monday, during the Commons Ethics committee testimony of WE Charity pitchmen, Marc and Craig Kielburger, I’ll admit I wondered whether maybe Craig Kielburger and Justin Trudeau were the same person.
