The Reichstag Fire of the Democrats

The Reichstag Fire of the Democrats

A pretext for political terror.

There are thousands of soldiers outside Congress and political terror inside its halls. That political terror isn’t coming from a QAnon Shaman who only eats organic food, but from the Democrats who are using a manufactured state of emergency to purge the opposition.

Democrats deployed 26,000 troops to Washington D.C. at a cost of $500 million. Thousands of soldiers, authorized to use deadly force as they were forbidden to do either at the border or during the Black Lives Matter assault on the White House, will stay to fight an imaginary threat.

Hungary: West Must Solve ‘Demographic Crisis‘ or ‘Europe Will Be Lost‘

Hungary’s minister for families believes that “the demographic crisis of the Western world” is one of its greatest challenges, and that without serious action to support parents “Europe will be lost.”

Discussing some of the wider issues around Hungary’s world-leading programme of support for people to have families — as an alternative to mass migration, which the country’s conservative government sees as undesirable due to the long-term impact on social cohesion and the national culture — Minister Novák dismissed any suggestion that the policies are “leftist” merely because they involve state support.

China’s plan for medical domination

China’s plan for medical domination

If there’s another pandemic, the West could be dependent on Beijing for vaccine development

Deborah Green1 has just made a life-or-death decision — and she isn’t happy about it. “We have two cancer drugs in development and we had to choose which one would move up to the next level,” she says. “We made our choice, but you can’t help wondering how many lives might have been saved by the other one.”

Meet Carl Hart: parent, Columbia professor – and heroin user

“I am now entering my fifth year as a regular heroin user,” writes Carl Hart in his revelatory new book, Drug Use for Grown-Ups. Fifty-four-year-old Hart is the Ziff professor of psychology at Columbia University. Regular heroin use and high academic achievement are not two pursuits that we expect to see in the same life story. At least not openly. Heroin is by popular consensus the worst of drugs, the one that leaves users hopelessly strung-out and slavishly addicted. How can you be a regular user and hold down a prestigious Ivy League professorship? And why would you admit to it?

As Hart continues: “I do not have a drug-use problem. Never have. Each day, I meet my parental, personal and professional responsibilities. I pay my taxes, serve as a volunteer in my community on a regular basis and contribute to the global community as an informed and engaged citizen. I am better for my drug use.”

Toronto: ‘We will take appropriate enforcement action,’ officials say about businesses that plan to reopen Thursday despite lockdown rules

Toronto: ‘We will take appropriate enforcement action,’ officials say about businesses that plan to reopen Thursday despite lockdown rules

City officials say they are “prepared to respond as required” against businesses that say they intend on reopening Thursday, despite provincial health orders.

“We will take appropriate enforcement action against any business that operates in contravention of the regulations governing the operation of non-essential businesses as we have done throughout the pandemic,” fire Chief Matthew Pegg said Monday during a COVID-19 briefing. Pegg leads the city’s emergency operations.

A number of businesses have announced their intent to reopen through a group called “We Are All Essential,” which plans to defy COVID-19 rules.

Businesses listed on the site include Toronto’s Adamson Barbecue, whose owner was previously arrested and charged after reopening the restaurant.

Jonathan Kay: Hurting Indigenous academics with good intentions

The sad story of a UBC professor shows what happens when people and topics are insulated from criticism

…Convinced that the school and the whistle-blowers were engaged in a “corrupt” scheme, inspired by a legacy of “colonial genocide,” she dedicated her last lecture to a host of conspiracy theories — chemtrails, COVID-19 vaccines — sometimes launching into fits of laughter, denunciations of named unsupportive colleagues (Indigenous and non-Indigenous alike), and tangents about her tragically unsuccessful personal relationships.

Surreally, at the 48-minute mark of the recording, she and the students are all heard simultaneously receiving the email news of her being placed on administrative leave. It’s difficult to listen to her reaction. Yet Wolf herself seems anxious to publicize her plight, declaring that she wants her case to be “national news.”

Ontario seeking public input on “not spooky surveillance state shit at all” digital ID program – OK. Fuck Off.

The Ontario government says it is looking for the public’s input on a possible digital ID program that would allow for people to prove who they are online much easier.

The hope is that the program will be introduced by the end of 2021.

The program will allow for people to “securely and conveniently prove their identity online,” according to the Ford government. It will also help people to be able to access things online rather than have to travel to do things in-person, the government said, such as a small business applying for a license or a parent looking for information on their child’s immunization records.

Taking on “Progressive Prosecutors”

District attorneys who refuse to enforce the criminal law are violating their oath to support and defend the Constitution—and could be challenged on those grounds.

From San Francisco to Los Angeles to Chicago to Philadelphia to Boston, urban dwellers have elected a new breed of district attorneys who style themselves “progressive prosecutors.” In this denomination, the adjective does the heavy lifting. The prosecutors’ campaigns have been funded by the bogeyman of the Right, billionaire leftist George Soros, and animated by extreme left-wing political movements such as Black Lives Matter. The politicization of what was, in its origins, an apolitical law-enforcement function will have serious consequences for public safety and order.

Tricky Joe Biden’s family influence: Devine

Tricky Joe Biden’s family influence: Devine

Everyone loves a tale of redemption, but Hunter Biden’s decade of shady influence-peddling off his family name can’t just be airbrushed away by the president choking up on national television on Super Bowl Sunday.

Joe Biden could barely contain his pride that his son, Hunter, 51, has written a book about his crack addiction.

“The honesty with which he stepped forward and talked about the problem. And the hope that, it gave me hope reading it,” Biden said in an interview with CBS News.

Indonesia: Two Christian men are publicly flogged 40 times each for breaking Sharia law by drinking alcohol and gambling

Two Christian men were publicly flogged today in Indonesia’s ultra-conservative Aceh province for drinking alcohol and gambling, in a rare case of non-Muslims facing a punishment frequently condemned by rights groups.

The two accused received 40 lashes each from a masked sharia officer who beat their backs with a stick.

One of them, identified only as JF, said he chose flogging to avoid a criminal prosecution that could have seen him jailed up to six months.

Bruce Springsteen, Who Called Trump A ‘Threat To Democracy,’ Ripped For Pushing Unity In Super Bowl Ad

Trump deranged celebrity idiot

Critics slammed iconic singer Bruce Springsteen and the Jeep vehicle brand after the two collaborated on an ad calling for a return to “the middle.”

Springsteen has a history of making outlandish, politically-driven claims and comments attacking Republicans, most notably former President Donald Trump. Springsteen was one of a host of celebrities to make a public pledge to leave the United States if Trump was reelected in 2020.
