Jamil Jivani: Blackness test for Ottawa grants a throwback to colonialism

Jamil Jivani: Blackness test for Ottawa grants a throwback to colonialism

For a government so politically correct it borders on comedy, the Trudeau Liberals find themselves in yet another controversy concerning race.

This time, the Support for Black Canadian Communities Initiative is at the centre of the drama. Federal officials sent an email last week rejecting hundreds of organizations that applied for funding. Their email informed some Black community leaders that their organizations are not Black enough to qualify.

Ontario reports 2,578 new covid cases

Ontario reports 2,578 new covid cases

Ontario seniors ‘living in fear’ of COVID-19 feel forgotten in vaccine rollout plan

When the first COVID-19 vaccine was approved in Canada, Ketty Samel and her 76-year-old husband Morris believed the end to the long months of isolation was in sight. Since last March, the Thornhill, Ont., couple has been hunkering down in their home.

“We’re living in fear. For me to go to a grocery store right now, I’m in a total sweat. I’m stressed, I walk in and I walk out. I grab whatever I need off the shelves and that’s it.”

Under Ontario’s vaccination rollout plan, Samel, 71, and her husband will be vaccinated in Phase 2 — a phase that could begin as early as March, according to government officials, and will continue through to July. It’s a tiered system by age groups, starting with those 80 years of age or older, then decreasing by five-year increments.

The comments are running from charges of fear porn by the CBC to blame Trudeau and even Harper?!!?

My 95 year Mum has been in hospital since before Christmas, never infected she has yet to be vaccinated despite being held in two weeks of isolation twice because of pandemic outbreaks at the hospitals. She’s in more danger there than at home.

No place for Conservatives in Conservative Party, leader Erin O’Toole says

No place for Conservatives in Conservative Party, leader Erin O’Toole says

OTTAWA — Federal Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole says there is “no place for conservatives” in the party.

O’Toole made the declaration in a statement today in which he lists the numerous ways that he has sought to make the Tories more inclusive and moderate since becoming leader in August.

“Our party believes it’s racist to oppose unwarranted mass immigration that offers no benefit to Canadian citizens. Canada’s oligarchs cry themselves to sleep at night worried they’ll wake up one day and no longer be able to suppress wages” said an impassioned O’Toole.

“And another thing, diversity and multiculturalism are key to our divide and conquer platform, and we model ourselves on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s culture. Conservatives say that’s crazy! We can’t allow haters like that a voice in our party.”

A self-identified Platypussian O’Toole also announced plans to make it mandatory that all citizens carry a government issued Otherkin identity card and floated the idea of making it a hate crime for heterosexuals to refuse the sexual advances of the transgendered at which point the 450 CBC reporters in attendance burst out in cheers.

He also announced a name change to Justin and encourages everyone to buy a cool “Justin” wig or style their own hair to match.

Bye, Bye, Miss American Pie

Bye, Bye, Miss American Pie

We live in troubling times. The American election is over but the popular belief that it was fraudulently engineered shows no sign of abating. The evidence that a vast conspiracy has occurred, particularly in several swing states, is convincing for a significant portion of the electorate, and the complicity of a censoring media apparatus is undoubted. Even reputable conservative thinkers and writers, while deploring the current state of political events, seem to take cover by speaking ill of Trump, or repeating Democratic Party talking points, or doing their best to waffle the issues. Republican congressmen and women justify their pusillanimity and backstabbing, currying favor with their nominal adversaries and, as political commentator Grant Brown says, feeding their allies on the right to the crocodiles on the left. Perfidy seems to have become fashionable. In consequence, the political Left appears to have triumphed across the board.

Priceless optics: Pelosi grabs photo-op with same troops she called ‘stormtroopers’ during BLM riots

There can only be one explanation for the level of hypocrisy regularly seen from Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a complicit media, but the California Democrat took her duplicity to a mindboggling level when she exploited National Guard troops deployed ahead of Joe Biden’s inauguration next week.

Like a tin-pot dictator, Pelosi stood before a formation of soldiers lined up in front of the U.S. Capitol and thanked the troops and their families “for protecting the Capitol and our democracy.”

Prince Andrew asked online troll to help discredit his sex accuser: Duke of York’s adviser and Sarah Ferguson’s aide made a ‘desperate’ approach to ex-model who claimed damning Virginia Roberts picture was faked… but she then informed FBI

The Duke and Duchess of York’s closest advisers sought help from an online troll in an attempt to discredit the Duke’s sex accuser, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The aides hoped that Molly Skye Brown – who attacked Virginia Roberts on Twitter for months – possessed information that might prove the infamous photograph of Andrew with his arm around Ms Roberts, then 17, was manipulated.

Ms Roberts, one of the victims of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, claims she was forced to have sex with the Duke, now 60, on three occasions, allegations he vehemently denies along with any other wrongdoing.

Officials in a Chinese municipality said that three samples of ice cream tested positive for the CCP virus, and thousands of boxes were confiscated, according to state-run media.

Storage of the ice cream, produced by Tianjin Daqiaodao Food Co., was sealed after samples sent by the firm to a local disease control center last week tested positive for the virus.

Officials said that the company’s more than 1,662 workers were placed under quarantine due to the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus—also known as the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

Big Tech declares war: ‘Woke capitalism instead of freedom’

It started with President Trump getting kicked off Twitter, but the rush to banish him from the public square over the U.S. Capitol riot is threatening to engulf vast swaths of the right as conservatives gird themselves for what they describe as a political purge.

In the more than week since the attack, dozens of major U.S. corporations have halted donations to Republican lawmakers who objected to the 2020 election certification. Warnings about hiring Trump administration officials are circulating, while right-tilting Twitter accounts are being de-amplified with dramatic declines in their followers.

Fashion mogul Peter Nygard’s own son is helping police investigate his alleged sex crimes

Fashion mogul Peter Nygard’s own son is helping police investigate his alleged sex crimes

Kai Bickle’s world came tumbling down one night in May 2019, when he attended a dinner party at a lavishly decorated mansion overlooking the golden sands of Venice Beach in Los Angeles.

The host was his father, Peter Nygard, a Canadian fashion tycoon famed for the hedonistic lifestyle he pursued at a global portfolio of high-end properties, including vast residences in Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal, as well as New York, Hong Kong and, most notoriously, a Mayan-themed ‘private luxury resort’ in the Bahamas.

Modelling himself on Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, the flamboyant Nygard, now 79, kept a revolving harem of girlfriends. Those caught up (often completely unwittingly) in this web had included actresses Susan Anton and Jennifer O’Neill, stripper-turned-reality star Anna Nicole Smith, and a former Wheel Of Fortune card turner by the name of Vanna White.

Former FBI official says he had to call RCMP to arrest Jeffrey Delisle in Russian spy case

Former FBI official says Canada’s spy catching system caused delay, angst in Delisle case

“…CSIS watched Delisle pass top-secret information to Russia for months without briefing the RCMP. The spy agency, acting on legal advice, opted to keep its investigation sealed for fear of exposing sources and methods of the intelligence trade in open court proceedings.

“Someone had to call Canada’s cops. Strangely, that task went to me,” says Figliuzzi, who led the FBI’s counter-intelligence division as an assistant director.”
